-Spy x Family made by CloverWorks (but with the staff that did the Kaguya-sama adaptation) or Trigger
-Jujutsu Kaisen made by Bones or Production I.G
-Chainsaw-man made by David Production or Shaft
A-1 made Kaguya-sama, though, and A-1 is my choice for SXF. Bones would be really good for JJK, same for CSM and David Pro. Shaft had a lot of their talents leave the company so they are not in a super good spot right now.

Op vol 76 released in december 27 2014
And vol 80 released in december 28 2015
In all of OP's 94 volumes, only 7 of them were released at the end of the month, that's not even 10% of the total, which means the chances are small. Oda can take another break until then, which means they'll have even less chapters to compile later on. They should play safe right now rather than be in an awkward situation with the amount of chapters they have in hands to put out in a volume, which will only make them delay volumes.

Oda has a break this upcoming Oct 14th, then he will probably has another one Nov 11 or Nov 18th, then maybe another one OR the Christmas and New Year break (all mangaka gets 2 weeks off but not at the same time)

So at least 4 breaks total by the end of the year

Ufotable, Bones, and Madhouse should be at the very top of mangakas' lists. The process of how a manga gets adapted has been said to be a mix of the authors/publisher's request or the studios coming forward. But as KnY's success has shown, a manga can receive a massive boost if it's handled by the right studio. I think that from here on, mangakas should be more proactive in selecting studios.

I haven't read KnY yet, but if rumors of it close to ending are true, then it's a shame. Because if KnY's story had a longer shelf life like MHA, it is undoubtedly part of a Big Two with MHA.
Isn’t it less studio and more about who the director is and who that director hires to help with the production?

Guys, it's not just the anime studio being the main reason for KNY's success.
KnY's first chapter and arcs were just really well done. You cant just expect success if you have a good quality studio with shitty content. You need good content to go with the studio's quality to appeal to the audience.

Yep the good old days!

Look at all that variety!

Even a good director can get plagued with subpar production. I mean Kimetsu was done by Ufotable's B-Team and the director's only notable work was the Tales of X anime which nobody cared about.

Yes, but knowing which studio is doing what manga is generally a good measuring stick. If you have Bones, for example you can generally expect what the quality of the adaptation is going to be like.

I wouldn't be surprised if SxF was primetime but that doesn't mean Toei/Pierrot. Isn't MHA at like 6 PM in Japan? While they mostly stick with game adaptations over manga OLM primarily does primetime so they could be an option too.

I'm just here praying that Jujutsu Kaisen's anime has a good schedule for staff to enjoy doing as much as we will enjoy watching it :blushbirb
though part of the prayer is to wish Bones choose it

A-1 Pictures should get Spy x Family.

They did a great job with Kaguya-sama, and if they applied the things they did right with Kaguya to SxF, then the SxF anime could be superb.

I cant even begin to imagine the wank if Kimetsu wins tbh. Either way, with whatever series that beats OP, you're gonna start seeing comments like "OP is dying/dead". Which is idiotic...

As someone already mentioned, AOT is probably the most deserving. Kimetsu is no where near OP's volume sales. So yeah, you can say that Kimetsu isnt deserving.
Whatever boost that Kimetsu got,the credit fully goes to Ufotable, their amazing adaptation made this much boost increase.

I also wonder if more Mangaka will want to their series to be taken up by Ufotable.
I would say that Ufotable played a big part as I saw a lot of people tune in solely over ufotable (not sure if that even applied in Japan lol) but again source material matters. If you look at Fire Force, it had a really talented staff backing it and made the series much more bearable than the manga but even then it sold poorly and the boost wasnt anywhere close to Kimetsu.

I dont think so. For example, I think its likely that Shimabu was offered to have Toriko be adapted by Ufotable but he probably chose Toei instead since a lot of classic titles came from Toei. A lot of his inspirations like Kinnikuman, DB, Fist of the north star & even one piece was made by Toei. Toei is more successful than most studios and more or less the same can be said about Pierrot. So you can see why mangakas side with these big studios that were responsible for their big inspirations and known for big hits. and also not all shows would look good under Ufo. Also theres the fact that Toei would without a doubt adapt much more than Ufotable could ever do especially in 2009/2011.

Ufotable is starting to become like that "Madhouse 2.0" where people started to blindly praise Madhouse over their HxH 2011 adaptation. Its funny people forget about God Eater and the same can possibly happen to Kimetsu if Ufotable starts to put too much on their plate. With Kimetsu's huge popularity, they can be pressured to pump out a season 2, who knows at this point. Kimetsu's production schedule was very good which is overlooked by fans.

I've never read Medaka Box but these panels are making me want to do it
you should, it's good and probably one of my top 10 from jump. keep in mind though that it doesn't truly become what it's known for until the arc that starts at ch 56, but it really becomes something special after that.

Its funny how we’re all in agreement about the Spy x Family anime. I thought the same thing. Just give it to the Kaguya team.

They both share a similar fanbase so it makes sense.

...so the fact that they’re both extremely popular on r/manga isn’t a coincidence, then? Huh.

The Wall
Which manga is this?
Looks like a panel from Medaka Box ch 127. The art style reminds me of it.
Seems that the panel above is really from Medaka. The same chapter has a panel like this. Hillarious. I might start reading this.

I've never read Medaka Box but these panels are making me want to do it
Yup, it's Medaka Box. This manga's beginning is mediocre at best, but, swear to god, this is the only manga I would use "it get good X chapters in" to recommend (56 to be precise), but it does not just get good, it gets glorious.
The manga introduce a character so great, that he dominated the following popularity polls and became the highlight of manga.

The female character features in my previous post and Jovan post is another great highlight of the manga. She frequently breaks the fourth wall and feels like Nisio love letter toward WSJ.

I have the feeling Jujutsu is going to be Madhouse.
I am sure madhouse is still a great studio with integrity.

Not at all and I'm glad Im not the only one who noticed that. Both fanbases are equally annoying with how much they praise "cutesy" stuff, i.e calling Chika dance ED as the best ED ever. Overrated titles but at least SxF is better than Kaguya.
