Haikyuu getting a cover now is pretty odd. Would have had more sense on previous two issues (post-timeskip) or in December (movies-anime, etc)

Taisei being over Samurai 8 again. SURVIVE, FOR HAGA.

Also, only one Jump cover remains. What is your bet?

Mine is One Piece since it hasn't had a cover in 10 issues, Black Clover already gets double spread next issue, and lol Jujutsu getting a cover this year

Hmm... It'd be really cool if we got another 6 series batch like we got a couple years ago.

Who do you guys think would be likely to return in such a scenario?
Last time we got We Can't Study, U19, Poro (Yozakura family mangaka), Hungry Marie, Dr. Stone, and Robot x Lazerbeam.
Three series by vets, a GFC winner (debuting with a manga that wasn't the winning oneshot), and two relative newbies (I know WCS mangaka did a Nisekoi spinoff, but he was new to Weekly Jump).

I think it's very likely we'll see Shibata and Moue getting second chances. Maybe we'll finally get that Galaxy Gangs wish. Especially with Samurai 8 failing lol (don't ban me again pls).
Wouldn't be surprised to see Ishiyama get his third and final strike.
For returning veterans of successful series, I can totally see Shima back soon. Komi, Aso, or Matsui perhaps? Iwamoto please?
I wouldn't be surprised to see Numa back.
Who was the dude who did that one-shot about the angels a couple years back? Would be cool to see them finally serialized.

A six batch sounds kind of crazy. If it did happen, it likely wouldn't start until after the holidays, since WSJ doesn't like to debut new series during double issues. That feels like a long time to wait.

However, entertaining the idea, maybe these authors could be among the debuts:

• One returning successful veteran as the batch's headliner
  • Yusei Matsui (Assassination Classroom) - He's had over three years to make a new series, and did that F-Ken one shot earlier this year
  • Shuichi Aso (Saiki K) - This could be kind a quick turnaround from Saiki, but he was apparently already planning a new series when Saiki ended
  • Naoshi Komi (Nisekoi) - Had a one-shot quasi recently, and WSJ's current harem manga is about to end. Could be fortuitous timing.
• Some failed veterans getting second/third chances
  • Gen Osuka (Golem Hearts) - Golem Hearts had such a great one-shot that it's a shame the series bombed. His Fantasies one-shot from earlier this year has substantial series potential, and even if he comes back with a whole new idea, I feel like this is a good time for him to return.
  • Ryoji Hirano (BOZEBEATS) - Another mangaka who creates excellent one-shots, and then his series didn't do so hot. His art is top notch and everything new he puts out seems better than what he made before. He absolutely deserves to run another series or two.
  • Tomohiro Yagi (Iron Knight, Red Sprite) - This'll be Yagi's third and final chance, but I still think it's happening. WSJ still keeps him around to do one-shots, and Red Sprite had kind of a following before its axe, so maybe third time will be the charm here.
• 2-3 newcomers with previous WSJ appearances
  • Tadaichi Nakama - Entered the 2017 Golden Future Cup with Mahou Shonen X and did not win, but has returned to Jump since with TWO Tokyo Grind Horror Channel one-shots, one for GIGA and one for the main magazine. The second one was very recent, so it might be too early for Nakama to be part of a batch.
  • Kenta Yuzuriha - Put out the really fun and cool looking horse racing one-shot, Erica of White, earlier this year. Enough time has passed for him to prep a full series at this point.
  • Furuta Seiran - Showed up in WSJ earlier this year with Ultramarine Battle, a viking themed shonen battle one-shot. The art was really good and the setting had series potential, I feel like a Seiran series is coming in 2020, even if it's a different idea or appears in a different batch.
• Probably some other person or people that I'm not expecting.

I do think what's more likely than this is a small batch of 2-3 starting in #1 2020, followed by a bigger batch of 3-4 that starts in late Winter or early Spring of 2020. The idea of a gigantic batch relatively early in the year is pretty exciting, though. I definitely wouldn't complain if that came to pass.

We usually get notice of a series break one week in advance, and since there's no notice in this week's issue, that means there's no break next week.

Also still no color page for Yozakura, happy to see Kamio Yui out of the bottom again, it wouldn't kill them to give a color page for the manga, is quite ridiculous that the manga is going on for over 30 chapters almost always at the "top" of the bottom but never got a color page after chapter 2.

Yozakura I agree with you, but Kamio yui is practically dead, the manga sold poorly in both volumes, so unless you sell the tribe in volume 3 there's no way he can have color pages.
