I think they count Progressive and the main series differently on the charts. Still, SAO sold 402k copies on the first half, plus based on Yonkou's tweet, the new volume sold 120k copies already. Plus Slime LN's sold 600k first half already. With 2 LN volumes basing on the tweet, KNY has sold 340k so unless it sells double that in the next week or two, it won't top the LN series chart, though as I said, it might top the per volume charts, considering it only took 200k copies to top last year's per volume chart and KNY's 2nd LN already has 180k copies sod....
Oh, I know. I said not counting Progressive because some people could think that oricon counts the series together, but they count them separately. Tensura Slime will end as the best-selling series this year.
Oh, my bad... Anyways, looking at previous year end charts though, I don't think they count manga series which had LN adaptation though in the LN charts for series.. though they count LN series that are adapted to manga on the Manga Series charts (Slime being a good example)... so that's weird...
