It's a real shame TSS failed. I really loved how the characters and their dynamics were written, I loved their character designs, and the paneling and pacing was so fresh and fun, and could often be genuinely funny as well. This chapter specifically really showed that off.
Hope the duo has better luck next time. Really don't understand the hate for it at all. It feels kind of bandwagon driven.

This chapter of Taisei feels like a wrap-up, yet IDs tell another story lol. If Taisei somehow ends in Vol 3, it has to end next week, which would make Vol 3 have 10 chapters like Tokyo Shinobi Squad Vol 2 had the same count.

It would be interesting if 4 saved IDs for Taisei aren't meant just for Taisei but for a new series too (since IDs for manga seem to go alphabetical now including Jigokuraku from Jump+). Any thoughts @RafGL?

I thought MangaPlus stopped doing that thing with the IDs? If not, having several more chapters of Taisei after this week's chapter would be greatly appreciated. Those comments on the shogi livestream were pretty meta in and of themselves. The author is definitely looking through the comments that are being posted about the series online lol. If they wanted to somehow keep the series living even longer, then there's still definitely at least 3 chapters worth of material left they could discuss.

Mitama's chapter was a bit of a letdown for me, not that it was bad, but the flashback didn't really deliver in the way I was hoping it would. Yui Kamio prolonged its life a bit with its most recent development, but it's a bummer it'll be more fight chapters. Yozakura's chapter was alright again, but it feels like the series is trying to play it safe with its recent chapters. The brother is definitely the worst character, and I really wish we could get some more chapters with our main couple. Act-Age had another stellar chapter as well.

Seems that MangaPlus now sorted the new IDs to include alphabetically every of their current series.

For example, Black Clover has 5 IDs, and is likely 1 is stored for Blue Flag. Chainsaw has 7, likely some being saved for Curtain's Up and Dear Sa-chan.

Also for the first time ever, a Jump+ series, which is Hell's Paradise: Jigokuraku, just got an ID between Haikyuu and Jujutsu, two Jump series. Which fits the alphabet title sorting. And Summer Time Rendering got an ID between Samurai 8 and The Promised Neverland.

There are huge gaps between Mitama and Samurai 8 too, probably to include things in between (Moon Land, My Hero Academia and One Piece that didn't get new IDs since they had a break, Platinum End)

Well if that's the case, I really hope you're right. I really hope we'll get to see some of the fallout from what took place in this week's Double Taisei. There are a few loose ends that could easily fill up another 3 chapters to resolve.

Yeah the new series would have to be called something like "DouXXX" "DowXXXX", "DoxXXXX", ''DoyXXXX''.
Though I think Shueisha wants to wait until Dr. Stone Reboot is closer to the ending so they could start a new bigger batch. That is my theory for now.

Basically just look for every Jump+ ongoing series in the platform right now and I think we could mostly include those that have no IDs left, like Dricam!!, which is also included in that order. Will investigate a bit and try to figure out every series included in this new alphabetical order.

I don't think there's a zero percent chance of this being a Manga+ cover-up, either.

The pacing of Double Taisei right now makes me feel like #52 would be a natural endpoint for it (unless there's more slice of life stuff after the Haga match). Yui seems to suddenly be picking up its pace toward a conclusion. Both BC and TSS feel like they're in kind of a limbo, where they could either start a new arc or end the entire series within a few chapters.

Right now I think it could go either way between a smaller batch starting with #1 2020, or a bigger batch that starts after the holiday double issues are done with.

Dear Sa-chan wouldn't fit if I don't suppose any of the weekly series is ending, which I can't do without any security on it. As for East and Abyss Rage, both have early IDs that need to be filled yet, so they may not be added to this schedule for now. If they were, that would be the same as mentioned earlier: would have to guess series ending with any definitive proof at all.

EDIT: In case they were included, Dear Sa-chan would shorten Kimetsu's IDs, not Double Taisei's, so i don't think that really makes sense. East, Into the Night would shorten Dricam!! chapters. Abyss Rage would have no effect at all.

So all the newbies will just keep going for at least 3 more chapters? This has to be officially the longest batch of failures ever, 3 mangas that by sales and reception should have ended by ch19 at most will cross 25 chapters lol

But the three were actually quite good this week, Taisei as usual but i enjoyed Beast Children and this chapter of Shinobi was the best in a long time, quite funny that Taisei this time is the one who looks like is ending in 2 chapters at most but i thought the same about the other two and here we are
