I agree the gap should be that huge. KNY will be a wall until its end, MHA has little to no chance of ever coming close to it's monthly sales.
The question now is how long before KNY surpasses MHA's total print... Currently, it's at 20 million vs 24 million... I think it could achieve that by the time KNY releases volume 19... Heck, I won't be surprised if it did it by volume 18...

KnY will 100% get reprints with volume 18 so im expecting maybe 22m by mid January, MHA will have 25m by then, and KnY should probably release volume 19 before MHA 26, so probably 23-24m by Volume 19, if it can keep up momentum it can pass MHA total lifetime copies in print in 2020 considering Kimetsu will release maybe 1-2 more volumes

Edit: Also forgot KnY movie releases in 2020, so its not impossible at all :derp

Guys, let's not turn this into a competition. What KnY has done is amazing. What the Big 3 did is also amazing.

There's no reason to be defensive about the situation.

I've noticed this forum rule is broken a lot on here, so I'd like to highlight it for everyone to see.

Spamming is prohibited. Posts containing reaction images, single words such as “GREAT!” will be deleted, as will any one line post that does not add to the discussion/topic. Use the quoting or edit function where possible, to avoid double-posting.

6 if your name is Slam Dunk lmao. Slam Dunk still hold the record for highest sales at 31 volumes mark.
Including the new editions that released in 2018, the series should have around 180 million copies in print now

There are missing weeks for some series, is Neverland included? Still has the chance to beat kingdom? It's only 100k away to do so...

Last ToC comments for Yui Kamio and Double Taisei:

Hiroshi Shiibashi: I plan to introduce the remaining girl bosses from around Japan in the graphic novels. Please check them out!

Kentaro Fukuda: Volume 3 will have about 16 pages of bonus material, so please buy it if you can. I'll come back stronger.

175 000 000 (world + all edition with 2018 edition).

120 000 000 for just volume 1-31 in Japan.

国内におけるシリーズ累計発行部数は1億2000万部以上

It takes 15+ years to hit those kinds of numbers, though.
This reminding me of something I have been wanting to ask..

Is it true that One Piece reach 100 million copies only in 6-7 years?

If I remember it correctly, in previous TOC thread many years ago, somebody here said that Dragonball and Slam Dunk surpassing 100 million mark only years after they were completed.
Is that true?

Man, they really did Kamio Yui dirty with this mega rushed final, it could have perfectly go for one last round to wrap things nicely, you also can see he wanted to introduce other girls but wasnt able, sad, for me Kamio Yui was turning into sonething really cool and the rankings were always better than the others, wishing that this isnt his goodbye to Shonen Jump but seeing how things are going on lately i can see Shiibashi going to Plus and getting a new success lol

Fukuda return with that 3rd series that will become your first big hit :super

I'm curious if by 'introducing the remaining girl bosses' he means just some info pages for the ones he couldn't introduce, or a couple proper epilogue chapters showing them off. TSS really should've ended first.

Why? TSS is the youngest of the bunch. If they wanted to cancel something else first, it would've been Beast Children.

Is there any reason why Gon would appear next to Jujutsu kaisen in the middle of the issue?
Maybe I am the only one, but when I saw Jujutsu Kaisen's artwork it reminded me of Yoshihiro Togashi's artwork (Hunter x Hunter), perhaps the mangaka of Jujutsu Kaisen was at some point an assistant to Togashi?
I don't read Jujutsu right now, but from the few panels I have seen that's the impression I got.. And I just can't pinpoint what exactly, but it may be the way the author of Jujutsu draws certain lines, but it totally reminds me of Togashi's artwork and just wanted to see if there's a connection or something, or if anyone else thinks their artwork look similar in any way.
Jjk author got his art influenced by bleach and geography and battle system by hxh
