Bleach's highest initial print was 1.26 million. It's not the highest sold copies of a volume. We have no data of that, at least not that I'm aware of.

Also, might as well post this;

- You can ignore the right most column as that's basically taking the average of total print by volumes released. Doesn't mean much.
I remember the whole ordeal with zero volumes being printed between volume 58 & 61 (Obviously Shueisha messed up somewhere).

On another note, this whole “series” total is confusing. How do we know if the Bleach print numbers we have included supplement material i.e. novels, Databooks etc.

Kimetsu is obviously tracking ahead if we assume the Bleach numbers are for the series as a whole but who knows.

It’s actually quite scary how similar Bleach & Kimetsu’s numbers are tracking as I’m pretty sure that volume 18 of Bleach also got a first printing of 1 million.

Kingdom's backlog for volume 1 outsold SxF volume 1? Lit.
Hm, Weekly Shonen Jump-only app? Or an app for literally everything from Shueisha in the 'Jump' sector?

Here's a question, within this current era, what was a series you'd thought would succeed but didn't, and a series you'd thought would get axed but instead joined the long-term roster?
The biggest surprise for me was Jujutsu Kaisen. I was feeling pretty confident that when it first came out that it would get axed in less than 20 chapters due to an artstyle that I didn't really find visually appealing and there already being several pretty successful demon/exorcist/battle series going on. Well as history has gone to prove, I was quite incorrect since not only did it survive, it ended up being immediately quite successful. I may be wrong, but I believe it has had the best-selling first volume for a new series in WSJ over the past few years.

From the same serialization batch, I thought Noah's Notes would've done much better than it ended up doing at first. The initial premise seemed pretty interesting, but as later chapters would go on to prove, it seemed to take a too serious approach and lost that fun, interesting vibe it had at the beginning. Ultimately, I wasn't surprised it got axed, but I did feel disappointed since it could've been a fun, interesting series. Still sad the author took it in the direction that he did (plus the ending was pretty depressing).
Quick bet with everyone, who'd you think is more likely to survive, Yozakura or Mitama? Yozakura has a CP now, while Mitama seems to have the stronger online reception and the author already has a following, so there's argument for it going either way.
Honestly, I hope both of them for the time being. Yozakura started off stronger for me between the two, and although some of the newer chapters haven't resonated with me as much as the early ones, I still thoroughly enjoy it. On the other hand, the first few chapters of Mitama largely missed with me. However, the newer chapters have all been fantastic and the humor is exactly on point, even with some genuinely touching moments thrown in (Mr. Commentary's brief flashback from the most recent chapter anyone?).

Did the author of Mitama have a previous serialization, or did they have a popular Twitter series they self-released?

Did someone post this? Seems like in 3 days they will be releasing a new app, mainly for WSJ.

I really doubt KnY is bigger than BLack Clover.

How Ansatsu was so popular since the beginning? Its almost unbelievable.

The Rakuten ebook listing feels suspicious too, how is Mahouka Koukou so low when it is consistently the best written LN. Shield Hero is also really low considering this year it had its anime. It should easily be in the top 10 considering the anime was incredibly popular and MADKID are exceptional.

BLeach being there is odd as well as YowaPeda and beating out Owari no Serafu??? I dont get it.

BLack Clover at least being there is pleasing, but then I can't imagine it is really that low when we know it brings in incredible profits. Perhaps KOBO is just such a small part of the market that they are only looking at trends among a niche crowd. Only way to accept the data.

Well, you should probably get ready to doubt JJK being bigger than BC next year too.

You do realize that Rakuten only lists what is sold on their site, right?

I wonder if they'll give KnY an all-color chapter?

Err almost all the current series except for the newbies are bigger than bc. I would put jjk and act age in a different group tho. I don't know about Dr stone if it has the same amount of copies or less.

I think the most recent one that got an all color chapter was Naruto for its final chapter? Maybe it will happen again. But who knows.

I believe its been established that BLack Clover is one of those jump series that has sold in the upper end of digital volume sales to reach that milestone that digital insider stated for the upper value of digital sales.

So this is a thing.
praises XFLAG animes a sports jump series, like, it would be a dream come true since Monster Strike continues to look and their original show this summer or was it last summer? looked so amazing.

Why would Black Clover be so popular in digital?

The editor that talked about digital sales never specifically named the series that got the most digital sales.

So, where was it established that BC is in with that group?

Have to say, Zip-Man's artistically growing on me. I can see this working.
year is ending, means ranking incoming,

while we wait for oricon here are some that have released their numbers

Rakuten physical manga

rakuten kobo ebooks ranking (also included, top 10 vol.1 digital)

Mod edit: This doesn't break any rules for self-promotion, since he wrote adequate information alongside posting the links to his site.
Im still amazed at how SxF is doing
Might give some prestige to Jump+

Its an ongoing recent series that is highly profitable for all parties involved. All signs and symptoms point to it as being one of the series in that group. Volumes charting in end of the year lists, posted even today, further solidifies BLack Clover's placement in this group as well. I can't think of anything that would suggest or strongly imply that BLack Clover is not a highly digitally selling manga. Can you? If so I would like to know since it would be great to have misconceptions and presuppositions clarified.
