Being A-1 or not is irrelevant when the staff is what matters, even more for a company like A-1 where most of their projects have freelancers, which the same is for Cloverworks (which should be obvious as it was A-1 Koenji until last year when it changed brand and separated from them to be directly owned by Aniplex)
I know the staff is what mattered the most, but even so, A1 animes mostly has been miss for me. It's either the source material or the staff is mediocre.

I mean that for I all know Zipman's author could have spent a year tweaking his first lead color pages on and off. But all non-debut LCPs (vast majority) are done by authors who also need to get other color pages, media stuff, and 20 pages of B&W done per page.
