I dont know about the "a lot" part by yeah, that fight dint put him in a good light

Can you please explain what you mean, i dont understand what your trying to say since he already has Enma!!!!!!!

Like when, the only time he faced a Sanji's opponent it was Jabra and he was a none factor and was scared of Kaku and Zoro, there has never been a change Zoro's opponents have always been stronger than Sanji's opponents, that is why Zoro is the right-hand man and Sanji is not.
Kinda does when you see Luffy can tank an rib injury from an YC and Zoro who can't tank anything from an nerfer pleasure by shoulder. No way he is in same league as many would take. In a fight, he would lose badly to Sanji in extreme conditions as Oda see them equals back and forth.

If he has another powerup, Oda would make him use it before getting Enma which is another power up. Like how Luffy using G4 before he got Advanced COA. Since he never did in any of his fights especially an of his past 4 Wano Arc fights, Asura is non-existent as it's not his limit and even use, it's not stronger than Luffy's Gears (Minus G4) and Sanji's DJ (One Leg) as Oda put these power ups at equal footing. Just saying how writing goes.

Actually there is as they trade back and forth on stronger enemies just like in NW Sanji got harder opponents as you see with Sanji facing Vergo, Doflamingo, Daifuku, Oven, Page One, and Drake. While Zoro had Hody, Monet, Pica, and Kamazou. You could argue Kyoshiro in there, but it's detable as many said he could be an secret spy by the way he acts. Though yeah, actually more times Sanji gotten stronger enemies overall.

Ryuma and Absalom...
Ryuma was definitely many times stronger than Absalom.

That's why their respective fights look like this...

Who? can you please stop writing as if we are in your head, say what you want clearly so we can understand!

how do I block this thread or prevent it from appearing for me? I know there'll be shitty arguments on both sides, and I only skimmed through first few posts.

Alright, alright, alright. Time to draw it out for the folks who still think Sanji is anywhere close to Zoro.
I'll go over 3 instances: Alabasta, Enies Lobby and Thriller Bark.

Alabasta: Mr1 and Mr2.
- Zoro's opponent is a well-known assassin, a living blade, the man who tanked flying slash from Mihawk and stood up seconds after direct slash from Mihawk.
-Sanji's opponent is a queer ballerina with goofy personality who uses tricks like Nami's face to land cheap shots.
One resisted decapitation attempts from Zoro, who is by far physically stronger than Sanji, has sliced several surrounding houses with his hands until ultimately being cut down by Zoro. The ballerina tanked Sanji's kicks and could make holes with swan extensions in walls.

The ballerina feared Mr1, as he said himself, if he fails with Mr3, then he would be killed by Mr1. One attacks with razor-sharp spinning blades, the other kicks. The state in which Zoro and Sanji left their opponents:
The assassin was completely defeated, unable to escape and ultimately captured by the Navy, the ballerina walked away from the fight.

Thriller Bark: Ryuma and Absalom.
-Zoro's opponent is a general zombie with a body of a legendary samurai and Brook's enhanced abilities, a deadly samurai who doesnt feel pain as zombie.
-Sanji's opponent is again goofy character who looks for a bride with cannons and cheap-shot ability Invisibility, physically enhanced by Hogback.
One was unbeatable without salt as a zombie and was going toe-to-toe with Zoro cutting the buildings clean until he was burned by Zoro in final clash. The lion-face despite cheap shot abilities was trashed by Sanji who held Nami in the air while Absalom attacked him clean and stabbed him.

Ryuma as a zombie who doesnt feel pain or injuries and with deadly sword attacks or lion-face with cannons and invisibility who cant win despite countless clean hits while Ryuma would end you in the single slice... The state in which they left their opponents:
The zombie was burned to the crisp, erased from existence while Absalom stole Nami from Sanji and walked away from the fight.

And now the juicy Enies Lobby: Kaku and Jabra.
-Zoro's opponent is a master swordsman of CP9, the master of Rankyaku technique and 4-sword style user with Zoan DF.
-Sanji's opponent is a barehanded member of CP9 with goofy personality who was telling Kaku not to eat the DF because he didnt want him to get stronger.
One was a lethal tower slicer who has pushed back 3-sword style Zoro to go serious while the other was jester cracking jokes and trying tricks only to get tricked himself and allow Sanji free hits.

While the Doriki measurement was not far apart it only measures physical power, nothing else, it doesnt include the DF and it doesnt include the combat style. Swords are far more lethal than fingernails. The state in which they left their opponents:
Kaku was completely defeated unable to walk while Jabra walked away from the fight and carried Kaku on his back.

Overview of the abilities:
Zoro is a character who lives his life as a bushido, following the way of a warrior, who abandoned his life the moment he set his goal to be the best.
Sanji is a character who loves cooking more than anything, he puts cooking first and fights second. A goofy lover boy prone to violence in crisis.
Zoro is a top tier material with top-notch lethality and one of the best defenses in the verse with 3/9 sword style and mountain busting nameless slashes.
Sanji is second grade combatant with 0 lethality and defenses so weak that he was gifted a protection suit which also grants cheap shot opportunities.

While Zoro's battles are all-out fights to the death which can be decided by making one mistake, Sanji's fights are jokes where he yells at the opponents more than he actually fights and with countless hits on both sides.
So fellas, if you want to claim Sanji equal to Zoro, let me know not to waste time or at least not to take those arguments seriously because there is nothing equal about them.

Kinda didn't disprove anything at all as Bon Clay and Daz Bones along with Jabra and Kaku get into fights with no one suerprior by Oda.

Also lol Zoro take on as goofy opponents as much as Sanji. Being goofy doesn't take away your threat or else Katakuri's donut song when he is alone makes him 'goofy'.

Nice biased there, but we all know Zoro has no indications on stronger opponents every time as him and Sanji trade stronger opponent as shown with Alabasta and Enies Lobby. Bon Clay became revelant character while Daz Bones on not much to talk about. Later in portrayal it's more certain Bon is stronger one as he able to duke it out with Awaken Zoans and has since been new King of Impel Down. Daz Bones been nothing but fodder and subordinate to Crocodile. He hasn't done much at all and worse at the war.

Jabra is stronger one as he has more experience with DF and CP techniques while Kaku was a slow ass giraffe who had trouble adjusting to his form. He wasn't strong or efficient in his abilities like Jabra at all as you can see sloppiness and slow moving at times. It's clear Sanji had better opponent while Zoro got fresh hatchling of powers from a guy who was new to his DF.

I can give you Thriller Bark, but if not mistaken Abasolm was Ryuma's superior and he always obey him as much as others so kinda put him above Ryuma and plus that was Brook's Shadow, not much to go there with him at all as awhile strong, not that strong for Luffy and Sanji to defeat.

Now overall abilities, yeah Zoro the man who has shit tier of fainting on durability and stamina in his past fight and never beaten serious opponent since stepping into NW. The guy gotta fixed his cage issues and fainting spells before we can say he has a chance. Sanji has proven to be warrior fighter through and through. Cooking or character traits doesn't slow him down at all.

It's shows who had stronger opponents through course of NW while fighting top tiers, Zoro got fodder-enemies and technically Luffy's remains on fighting some of his opponents that he didn't care for. Nothing to write home about at all.

You mean magic sword that needs no training to use Haki it absorb naturally that anyone with Haki to use versus a suit made more by skill and only Sanji can control himself? Yeah time get off biased agenda, Nik. Cone back when your serious about this and don't let insecurity you not like Oda making them equals when it's canon fact at this point especially their moments in Wano (Though Sanji got better fights than Zoro in there however :teehee).

You guys are hurting yourself with your headcannons like same about Mutiny thread you try to force down others throats thinking you know how Oda works, it backfire on you heavily when it never became that way at all.

Y'all can't chill for one damn thread. No point in keeping this open if it's going to be more of the same.
--- Double Post Merged, , Original Post Date: ---

So here's how this is going to go down. All Zoro and Sanji comparisons and talk go in this thread and this thread only, unless the topic comes up in a weekly chapter.

Anything outside of this thread will be dealt with accordingly as off topic discussions. Even if it spills out to their individual character threads.

This is a horrible analysis because Zoro is a swordsman who fights swordsmen, mostly, while Sanji is a foot-to-hand combatant who usually fights people who doesn't use swords. Even Luffy would have stood no chance against Mr. 1 because of his devil fruit ability.

Zoro fought a blocky giraffe in Ennies Lobby, and Sanji is the one with a goofy opponent?

And he's only fought maybe 3 competent swordsmen in the entire series and his fights end with who can swing their sword the hardest. No further thought is needed from him. He hardly faces complex opponents where cloning, invisibility, future sight, or anything other than straight forward fight occurs.

He hasn't defeated a single elite swordsman whereas his goal is to become the WSS. And people have the nerve to question the quality of Sanji's opponents in relation?

Sanji has been put I'm positions such as facing off against Doflamingo and blocking a hit from a Yonko. The closest Zoro has ever gotten to those was clashing with an Admiral who had no real intentions of fighting him seriously.

Their quality of clashes, opponents, or battles are not vastly different from eachother. Both face challenging people.

I would assume Luffy or Sanji would have an easier time with Daz Bones since Daz Bones is vulnerable to blunt attacks.

I'm not sure of the logic behind it, maybe it's the equivalent of hitting a sword with another sword vs hitting a sword with a metal bar.

Daz Bones also doesn't seem very fast. Bentham got the upper hand while fighting him, and Zoro also hit him dozens of times. Some scene in Impel Down or Marineford also suggest he's not good at dodging...

Sanji dies a swift death against Mr1, Kaku, Ryuma, Pica while every combatant that Sanji ever fought is a light meal for Zoro.
Sanji's opponents walk away from their fights, Zoro's are in critical condition. B-but Zoro is a swordsman. Luffy aint a swordsman either and his opponents dont walk away either.
Being a blocky giraffe has granted Zoro a clean free shot like Jabra's tricks have granted Sanji a free hit?
Zoro's destructive capabilities are off the charts while Sanji is low tier, needs to kick opponents in the weak spots to have any effect.
There is nothing close about Zoro and Sanji, absolutely nothing.

Daz is not weak to blunt force where are you getting this from?

Zoro has never fought a complicated opponent with a gimmick.

I dont agree with this, but I do know Luffy was shown to break through Don Krieg's steel armor back in East Blue so I doubt Luffy couldn't even hurt Mr. 1. Sanji hasn't shown to be able to break steel at that point in the story so he would have had to learn to do it like Zoro did.

Sanji couldn't have defeated Kaku as easily as Zoro could have defeated Jabra

Where did you get that Daz is weak to blunt attacks? How can he be weak to blunt attacks but not swords? And given he can turn any part of his body to sword, how would Luffy and Sanji stand a chance without swords?

Sanji could beat Kaku without his swords and could find a way to beat Ryuuma, but I"m not sure how as Ryuuma is a swordsman and doesn't transform.

Luffy uses the strongest attacks he can to win against hated opponents, while Sanji's fights aren't that kind of urgent. He and Bon were friends, against Jabra he needed to get the key, and Absalom had an animal body that was extremely tough, but Sanji was still able to deal enough damage that Nami could finish him off.

I'm surprised someone would not accept that Kaku and Jabra are equals, since the author even provided a numerical measuring of their strength.

Swordman aren't necessarily more powerfull, at least in One Piece universe. This is especially true for the CP9, even Kaku himself called his style 4-sword, despite using his legs as blades.

According to the CP9, a feral-type Zoan is the most effective for their style. Also it seems Jabra is the only one who mastered all of CP9 techniques. If Douriki is not everything that matters, shouldn't that make Jabra the real superior of the two?

However I think it's quite obvious Kaku and Jabra were near equals in Ennies Lobby arc, given how they interacted and everything.

Kaku was completely defeated unable to walk while Jabra walked away from the fight and carried Kaku on his back.
This is the state they were left after the battle:

Jabra was later seen carrying Kaku in the cover story, but that's because he's the most resilent of the two. Jabra is the muscular type, while Kaku is the small but fast type (while it's the other way around for Zoro and Sanji).

Where did you get that Daz is weak to blunt attacks? How can he be weak to blunt attacks but not swords? And given he can turn any part of his body to sword, how would Luffy and Sanji stand a chance without swords?
Daz Bones was injured by that inmate in Impel Down. 😬 Or was that level 4 prisoner just that strong?

We do get to see Luffy and Sanji fighting enemies who use blades a few times, including Zoro himself.

There is nothing equal between the guy who wants to be WSS and the guy who wants to find rare fish.
A guy who in free time lifts weights and the guy who chases after girls.
Kaku is an effective killing machine while Jabra despite landing clean shot on Sanji with 50% of his firepower did nothing. Swords>>>>Fingernails.
Shanks and Buggy have the same relationship like Zoro and Sanji/Kaku and Jabra. Does that mean that Buggy is near equal to Shanks? Please...

Daz Bones was wearing Kairoseki in Impel Down, his powers weren't active...
