Wait, so City of Imprisoned Love does just 5K or so, yet it still gets reprints? How low exactly does Jump print it?

Heart Gear delay smells of cancellation to me. Shame, as a work it had potential.

Dr Stone 131 for the awesome development
CSM 49 for Denji's incredible IQ
Yozakura Family 15 for Ayaka's expressions.
Honorable mentions to KNY and Haikyuu which also both had great chapters

I liked Zipman ch1 though in my opinion the most interesting part was the thing with the suit really. The part before that felt pretty meh.

I voted One Piece chapter 964. Though I honestly can't explain why unless you read the manga your self. I also voted for Haikyuu, can't really explain this either. It was just awesome all around. I was grinning the whole way through.
And finally zipman. I already have my thoughts on that too.

Honorable mention to Dr.Stone. Was struggling really hard to pick between that and haikyuu. Was an amazing chapter. And Black Clover because it's probably the first time skip in a long time which gets right into the action.

Hello, Kurumada-san.

First of all, thank you for sending me that photo. I was in the photo together with you and the first Shinwakai fellows but when I showed it to the guys in the neighbourhood they were excited saying "This is great! This is great!!"... Even when I signed it, those guys weren't very impressed with me... Now I show it to the girls and say "How's this! I met Mr Kurumada many times!!" I brag: "Well? do you see this photo!!" I kind of want them to be jealous and, while we're at it, earn a little respect.

Until about 1 year before I began the 'Dr Slump' series, I simply didn't read manga. ...And every week when I got my Shounen Jump, I asked the chief editor: "What's popular?" And he'd say: "Let's see, by far it's 'Ring ni Kakero'." And now 'Fuuma no Kojiro' is at the top! Kurumada-san is amazing.

Anyway, with all this really masculine shounen content, I just want to send all the recent soft manga (sometimes I also call it that) flying with a "Galactica Magnum" of overwhelmingly great impact. I'd like to mimic that, to draw like that, but it's very hard and I don't have a tenth of that intensity. Then I think, okay, let's introduce a character as reckless as Kenzaki, but it's very difficult for me; by no means, I can't draw it.

Mr Kurumada, please continue to draw manly manga in the future.

Jump+ prints little amount of copies for its series. Also, I think for both 2.5D and Koi Goku it's already their second reprint, so they're doing generally good for the expectations the editorial team has on them.

Wow, those hair colours are really different from the colour pages in the first chapter. There, the MC had brown hair and the girl's was a very pronounced blue. Here, they both look like albinos under a blue spotlight.

The only surprise to me is cheena to be honest, wasnt expecting platinum hair

At the moment i only read Zipman and Beast Children since it was the last chapter, but about Zipman, i will need more chapters, because i liked but at the same time it gave me some "cancelation" vibes, i still think that the main character is a bit bland in the design, maybe it will grow with time, also, i dont have idea of what will happen in the manga, i don't know if this is good or not but maybe it makes the manga less predictable, this one will be like Mitama Secureity, or will turn into something really good with the next chapters or just turn into something generic.

About Beast Children, well, goodbye, i still have the same opinion about the manga, it has heart, the author loves the sport but he didn't know how to use it to make a actual good manga, but it wasn't anything terrible too, good luck next time.

At this point, I'm starting to think KNY might be #1 next year again lol. It will be #2 at least for sure but the possibility of it being #1 is not a stretch. Also, Jump is getting ready for the boost the panel in Jump Festa might have on JJK (Hope it happens).

Hmmm. I'm not very knowledgable when it comes to how sales work in manga and stuff which is why I'm always reading about it here (So I'm sorry if what I'm about to say sounds like nonsense) but I would agree that Demon Slayer has a chance to be No1 next year too. Especially with the movie coming up (and definitely a season 2 announcement) which will make the sales go even crazier. But there is one problem. AOT season 4 might make the sales of the manga spike again. I honestly belive that.

And then there is One Piece, I don't know how many of you guys are one piece fans here but where the story is now and how the rest of the wano arc is going to progress going forward, it's at really important part of the story's overall lore. And if you look at the recent interviews that Oda and the producer of the anime had recently theres gonna be crazy shit like hints to the one piece stuff along those lines. That's like a really major thing. With the rate that the story is going at now a lot of these important events will probably happen next year so I think the sales might skyrocket. They where also encouraging old fans to get back into the series cause of the wano arc

So like, yeah I don't know with where one piece is now I can't see it losing to any other manga. But who knows

Uh...no. I know I say this a lot, but it bears repeating.

"Hype" developments do very littile if anything for sales.

The thing which gives manga major sales boosts is exposure, that's why anime boosts are so common. The thing is, though, One Piece is already basically the most famous manga out there in Japan, there's literally nowhere it can go popularity-wise. And I highly doubt hearing Wano had some cool stuff will suddenly bring back people who stopped reading.

You see, SNK's first half of season 3 aired in 2018 and in that year the series sold 5.2 million copies (it was #3 behind OP and MHA). The second half aired this year and the series sold 4.7 million (it was only #7), with one volume not even selling 1 million before the end of the fiscal year. The newer seasons haven't had any effects on SNK, but also, S4 seemingly won't be made by WIT, which might make the anime's quality drop considerably and not attract much buzz.

As for OP, if you look at the last volume's sales, things haven't been looking that good either. Ever since Wano started back in volume 90, volume 92 and volume 94 have both underperformed, with volume 92 only selling 2 million after 3 months and 94 is on its way to do the same. And while the anime's production has been hyped, I have doubts it could give the manga any boost, given that not even Stampede was able to make it happen.
