when they did Ushio to Tora I remember they said they were interested in doing more classic shonen
I remember MAPPA president saying he's interested in Kenshin

I'm guessing Watsuki scandal killed that

also Takei said he rejected an anime adaptation for Shaman King because they wanted to change the original anime VAs, he never revealed the studio but people seems to think it was MAPPA, so that SK reboot is a kill (for now)

did they change their strategy after seeing Ufotable and Bones doing modern shonen and went let's give modern manga a shot?

Three weeks in, and Chainsawman is pretty clearly the most favoured manga from the MH public. Deservingly so, I think, the latest chapters have been pretty great.

Zipman did better than I thought it would, to be honest.

Man, everyone here really loves Chainsawman. I don't remember a time where it wasn't first place. This thread will probably go crazy when the anime's announced. xD
Act-Age as well. It doesnt seem to be too popular, but from what I noticed, those who do read it love it to bits. Kind of like Chihayafuru or Symphogear.

Quite shocked on how low is Yaiba and BC to be honest, funny because i voted on them, and in S8 that i didn't expected to have so much votes despite the chapter being really good, Yaiba was crazy, expected much more votes.

The only votes that really surprised me were Kimetsu no Yaiba, ZIPMAN!! and Mitama Security.

Not going to elaborate because of the new topicality rules, but I suspect Black Clover will do better next poll also.

Not only how hype it is but also how unpredictable the manga is too. Its a lot of fun.

It's more like the reception of Miitama Security got better over time. You've got a bunch of people who really vouch for it now.

Also, quick question: I wonder when you'll change that image of yours, now that TSS, BC, and Double Taisei are gone, and we have new series coming up.

So when they update with issue #2 and add the Agravity Boys image, i will update and also add Stone's spinoff, specially because i will have to add some more pirates for the lack of series running (Please Nakano, more series xD)

To be fairly honest, the manga has been ramping up the quality of its chapters ever since 20 chapters ago or so.
I would say its deserved

Shoseki Rankings for December 7. You can really tell that that Kimetsu Volume 18 is beginning to run into stock issues because HeroAca 25 and One Punch Man 21 outranked it today.

What's the chance it sells 1M or above this week? I know first print is at 1M, so can't wait for the numbers for this week.
