They’ll go at least 25 chapters each unless they absolutely bomb out the gate in rankings and/or sales if the last serialization cycle is anything to go off of.

Agravity seems so weak that I can't imagine it not surviving, just due to Japanese fans' tendencies to completely defy my own interests.

That's kinda weird though, because the New Years issue is right after that. Unless they debut a new series then (which they haven't done in over a decade), then they're going to be left with just 17 series. That...sees to be below the minimum standard, but we'll see.

My thoughts on Agravity Boys are as follows; Chris is an absolute cutie and best boy, don't @ me. As for the rest of it, I made the prediction it would be axed at three volumes before we even really knew what it was about, and as much as I kind of sort of liked it a tiny bit, I still stand by that prediction. But we won't really know until it actually gets going.

I think the same. haha

Too soon for that tbh. But as always, i think they are cancelled until they aren't lol

There's several more possibilities than just "new series debut" or "less than 17 series". There could be enough one-shots in Issue 6-7 to meet the minimum series count. Reboot could be replaced by a different spin-off (Seventh Hokage debuted in a double issue so there's precedent). They could even bring Hunter x Hunter back.

I personally doubt that there'll be a brand new series debut in the New Years double issue, and I also doubt that the magazine's page count hits a record low for the last ten years. But those aren't the only options.

Ok, I have re-read Aggravity Boys (since the first time I read I had to read fast lol) and.. I actually liked the first chapter. It reminded me of Grand Blue in some way.

Zipman: maybe, could happen with improvements.
Agravity Boys: yeah... probably not. But hey, apparently Mitama has gotten better too, so maybe the same thing can happen here.

Ok, I have re-read Aggravity Boys (since the first time I read I had to read fast lol) and.. I actually liked the first chapter. It reminded me of Grand Blue in some way.

I see where the Grand Blue comparison comes from, but this is Kenji Inoue we're talking about, who's easily one of the GOAT comedy mangakas. Agravity's first chapter absolutely pales in comparison.
