Well, that's technically impossible to happen, so...
After 2016, nothing is impossible in life anymore, darling.
And I see the same argument back when RxL still a thing, how people thought its axed was underserved as it was selling more than KnY, WNL and the like. WNL eclipsed RxL a long time ago, and don't even try to compare KnY now with RxL.
Nothing is sacred nor irreplaceable in WSJ.

Well, we should wait for samurai 8 volume 3 sales, however, if they do show a decline (even to like, 15k?) it probably shows that the series dont have much to grow and therefore it would make sense to cancel (or maybe a transfer would be better), even if there are series that sell less, because those have a bigger chance to grow overtime than a series from a well known author that had more promotion. Comebacks of the sort tend to be higher in volume 1 (such as Eden's Zero) than the subsequent ones.

Also I didn't advocate S8 cancellation. I advocated Shueisha cemented Saikyo as a magazine for former prominent properties and authors, so the niche readers still care about current Dragon Balls, Yu-Gi-Oh, Bort can also follow both works of Kishi without buying WSJ.
Also, chance of a batch has full of hits ain't impossible. Didn't One Piece and previous work of Toriko author begin in the same batch. While a batch of 6 has more variables than a batch of 2, the chance ain't 0%.

Don't you mean V Jump?

I'm talking about a batch of 4 ~ 6 mangas, not 2.

I think those are good options, but at this point I see more them leaving it on WSJ instead.

Dunno if anyone's noticed, but Anya's twitter icon now displays next to Jump+'s hashtag on twitter.

Lol what the actual hell.
I wasn't expecting another 200k for KNY 18.

KNY 18 is almost 3x MHA 25
Ya'll remember when people argued "Another million seller is not possible and MHA was the highest a series can get today" in an attempt to defend the numbers of other series. And then came KNY.

Pretty noticeable drop for My Hero Academia

My Hero Academia #22: 547,062 (21 days)
My Hero Academia #23: 485,480 (18 days)
My Hero Academia #24: 496,745 (17 days)
My Hero Academia #25: 457,350 (19 days)
Wait, it's not even stabilizing? The drop between 22 and 25 is actually pretty big.
25 even had more days than 23 and 24.

If only MHA had a good anime adaptation, it would have been a 1.5 million seller like KNY.

It's weird to me that MHA is declining because its backlog seems to be selling well? But it's not converting into sales (or first month sales) of the current volume

MHA's anime done very well, gave it a nice boost. It just didn't have hinokami kagura.

Remember this insane Kimetsu no Yaiba boost isn't really the effect of the anime as a whole, at first it was getting a great boost but pretty normal levels of good, on track to be a solid maybe contender to MHA. Ep 19 is what put the sales in high gear, people got word of the ending scene and it's popularity snowballed and snowballed. This isn't just the effect of a good adaptation, this is the effect of one amazing episode going viral in a good adaptation.

Kimetsu is an anomaly. We shouldn't treat other shows badly since they didn't get lucky. Kimetsu just got lucky, not dismissing ufotable or the manga, im just saying.

Still baffles me that the toc leaked way too early. That means some series will get their chapters leaked and with Viz oficial date for this issue, some won't wait to read the chapters officially.

Well there is the Fire Force example but the counter argument would be that it's source material isnt that strong. I thought MHA had a good anime adaptation, did something go wrong that I wasn't aware of?

Most of the boost came after the anime though so I doubt that. I think a bigger factor is that the series is at it's final arc is what caused this insane boost. The timing was just too good. I'm pretty sure that had ep.19 not gone viral then Kimetsu still would've been a million copy seller. It may of helped but I dont think it helped as much as you claim.

It would be nice if we had a graph of Kimetsu's backlog per week since the start of it's anime to now. Then we can see where it peaked.

I was being sarcastic about MHA not having a good adaptation.
But that's my mistake. Should've put the /s at the end of my statement.
