Are we ignoring Gintama, Sket Dance and other series?

Gintama and Sket Dance aren't really gag manga in the vein of Mitama and the likes and more like full comedy manga. Similar to the difference between a comedy TV show (e.g. Scrubs) and a sketch comedy show.

I wouldn't call them full comedy manga, because Gintama has battle arcs and Sket Dance had many character focused arcs.

You think it’s like a defense mechanism where manga fans (in the west) associate gag manga as children’s entertainment? So, they find a way to label gag series they like as comedy such as having more serious or character driven arcs while still having typical gag content throughout.

I always thought comedy was more something like grand blue where as gag is more something like gintama ir dr. Slump. So like, random, childish, parody filled kind of comedy rather than... normal genuine comedy

I would say those from Kirara are more slice of life comedy than anything

btw, is two weeks without chapter the normal thing? I don't remember we getting so much time without chapters. lol Since last week we hadn't and we won't get in this week either.

That's not quite true, the last two weeks have been higher than anything before. Keep in mind that the scan websites disappeared somewhere halfway the 16-23 week.

The most apparent thing I'm noticing with the change to five votes is there's WAY less ties now. So yeah, that was definitely the right call.

Seeing Agravity Boys with 21 votes, all that judgement pre series and now is getting all these votes kkkkkk.

Well, i voted on Black Clover, Mitama Secureity, Samurai 8, Yozakura and Yuuna, so i'm the responsible for the tie in the bottom XP

2. People reading on aggregators that use those scans
3. There's also Viz. Not everybody will migrate to M+

The difference between Miitama and Yozakura is staggering.
Also, Agravity Boys was honestly higher than I expected.
I'm really curious as to where the three new upcoming series will rank on this poll in particular.

I guess 5 votes each will be the norm from now on?
Hmm... I haven't read every series here, soI'll probably wait till the three new series are out and then vote based on whether I liked the chapter out of the newest 5 or not.

I mean, we should be getting them, but for some reason, MANGA Plus will be completely inactive on Sunday 5th. This means not a single thing will get published, everything from Sunday will be out on Monday.

In actual Jump ToC or the one here? Or both? Yes. Both. It doesn't bring anything new. It's constant ecchi-SoL. There's nothing more to the series than just ending it whenever Miura feels like it.

No, it's a great series but is understandable, if it was published every Sunday at the Manga Plus maybe it would get more votes, but its a series with very little story development, most of it is daily life ecchi situations so unless you really a fan of the series like me, you will probably give the votes for other more "serious" series, even i loving the series didn't voted for many polls because the 3 votes thing.
