On a separate but related note. I think it would be cool for Jump to include four monthly series in the mag, but have them rotate the series every week.

You mean making it completely different mag? At most it can tolerate one monthly series as sorta special but this is as far as it goes

It wouldn't make it a completely different mag. Just an evolution of its current form. They already have experimented with the idea by having Boruto run monthly.
Plus Sunday used to do this as well (not sure if they still do, don't keep up with that magazine anymore like I used to).

Well, birdman is going to end soon (or did it end already?), so Sunday won't have any monthly series anymore. But some of their monthlies are goat (yugami for example).
And imo, monthlies have far superior quality compare to weeklies, in both art and story.

It's an interesting idea, though I find it kinda strange to have a monthly in a weekly magazine. I know that sometimes happened in the past, like with series such as Level E or the Law of Corruption arc in Bastard!!.

We Never Learn isn't going to be 20 volumes long. Or at least, we have no reason to believe that yet. Rain misinterpreted a machine translation of a tweet that essentially said "15 volumes is kind of like 20 volumes if you round up".

Unless Hunter x Hunter is coming back, they really don't have any reason to cancel anything now, it will be 5 new series taking in count Zipman and Agravity Boys and we had 5 series ending: Kamio Yui, TSS, BC, Taisei and Stone's spinoff.

I know he literally didn't said but can be take as some kind of "tease", but yeah, it's hard to see the manga going for 20 volumes at this point.

Welcome to MangaHelpers!

It's a possibility, but maybe not super likely. There's currently three slots free, so the magazine won't have too many series if there's no axes alongside this batch. However, one of those slots has been reserved for one-shots and/or Jump+ special chapters for half a year now, so it's certainly possible that a series could end during the next batch or shortly after.

My guess is that there won't be an axe during the next batch, but an established series will end a month or two later. Whenever either The Promised Neverland or We Never Learn ends (whichever happens first), that slot will stay open for one shots until at least the next batch.

Yeah, I don't think it's much more complicated than the fact that it's a almost 100-volume series that hit an absurdly high ceiling. Most series with a huge amount of volumes have a considerable decline eventually.

First 2 acts of wano sucked. It wasn't even bad but wano was hyped up for years and it was very mediocre. Kinda like a samurai I situation. Both the japanese and western fans are complaining. So even though things have been REALLY FIRE ever since the end of act 2 and beyond I think the damage has already been done

One reason is definitely the fact that it’s been going on for so long with a surplus of volumes that sometimes there are just points where it won’t do as good as it used to. Also, might not exactly be a reason but also the fact that Demon Slayer just keeps continuing on being the biggest manga for the past year that it takes some of the spotlight away.
