Not to mention, as we discovered last night; these vote restrictions actually have a great hidden upside in increasing activity in this thread. Clearly people want to take part in these polls and this requirement gives them the push they need to switch from being lurkers to active posters.

I agreed with the vote taking measures but how is forcing a bunch of lurkers to comment a good thing in any way? It probably just leads to lower-quality comments and people who are commenting as a means to an end, or making topics like those good ole samurai 8 100 page discussions into 1000 page discussions.

I know CSM isn't gag, but it's definitely action comedy. So it's not just gag that's targeting that kind of thing. It's something that seems to work really well in general, regardless of genre.

Pseudo science. Each person who ate a devil's fruit has a different science (magic) power. There's not really any attempt at making it scientifically accurate.
It was just your average generic battle shonen.
Tabata can be fun be he's not a very "smart" writer.

That's why we have mods like Buranchi now regularly regulating the content on this forum. If it weren't for him, this forum would've gone to shit ages ago.

The difference between Black Clover and Hungry Joker is that Black Clover mostly does the things it tries pretty well, even if it just copied other series early on.

Hungry Joker tried to be a science-based manga with a genius lead but didn't do the science or the genius well at all, so it didn't work as a series. Black Clover by comparison tries to be a fast-paced series with flashy magic and and a hyperactive lead, and it excels at all 3 of those most of the time.

If you remove the spirits from the Mitama color page, the manga could easily pass as a shoujo or josei manga, the art and colors give some real shoujo/josei atmosphere.

well this pretty much confirms Mashle as the leaked magic school manga
the author is admitting to be a newbie to the business meaning Jump must stepped in to hire assistants for him

Mitama's done a couple quick battles that weren't entirely gags

not to mention this current arc just took a dark twist in the latest chapter

That' s why i said After the anime aired, the octopus was selling like 800k by the second/third volume. It has 1 million in circulation in 1 volume. Pretty sure the anime didn't boost much, just stabilize it

yeah
first how do you get published? you send in your oneshot to a publisher right?
& how do you draw a oneshot? normally, you would need a studio or drawing equipment and assistants

you can do that alone for a oneshot but for a series that's a different story
drawing 20 pages on weekly basis alone (can be done) but is very hard
