The Overhaul arc already built off of stuff that was originally introduced in Vigilantes.

It'd be nice to see that spin-off get animated at some point, we occasionally see manga spin-offs get adaptations from other publishers.

Jump kinda did it with the Nisekoi spin-off being part of season 2 so I could see them eventually doing it if MHA gets too close (or maybe they're planning 10 movies to fill in gap years :cheez)

Black Cat 2 in Jump+ or Young Jump would make me insurmountably happy.

Can I dream of a Black Cat sequel? Pls Yabuki.
This and a Slam Dunk remake is right up there on my list. Either that, or serialize his one-shot a decade back.

Honestly Yabuki doing any kind of battle manga in general again would be a dream come true.
I think his Togashi influenced style would fit in perfectly with the current climate of Jump right now.

We have 10 episodes left I believe for the season. The mini-arc including Aoyama plus the school festival is 21 chapters while the Pro-Hero is 10 chapters. 3 chapters per episode would be doable for it to end up to the Pro-Hero Arc but I don't know if it will feel rushed... Also, I remember during around this time Hori was doing shorter chapters and there are quite some battles during this arc if I recall, so it might be possible they can fit 4 chapters in some of these episodes... What worries me though is that either we'll have another long break since I do feel the anime is getting extremely close to catching up with the manga....

At this rate, vol 18 should reach 2 million in 3-4 weeks time. I really still think Shueisha will give vol 19 2 million first print...
Aoyama mini arc should be adapted in half a chapter, it was only 2 or 3 chapters I think.

Honestly I think your nostalgia glasses must be blinding you because black cat was really poorly written, even when I was a teen so many glaring mistakes were evident. I believe there's a reason why Yabuki paired up with a writer since then.

There were some writing issues definitely after the halfway point but most Jump series have that issue, however the York Shiny atmosphere, and all the cool fights and powers makes it one of the more memorable Jump series for me.
When Black Cat is good its some of the best stuff the magazine has to offer, when it was bad it was just kind of mediocre.

Looks so great. I really hope it's picked. ;-;
And wouldn't be too much to keep up with since it looks like it switches to every other week after the third chapter.

I feel like the title on the bottom should say VOTING RESULTS (INCLUDING THE DISCOUNTED VOTES) to avoid confusion.

Also, it seems as if every series was affected, some more than others: It's amazing how Chainsaw Man, One Piece and Jujutsu Kaisen still retain their top three spots despite being hit the hardest by removal of discounted votes. Instead, it looks like Act-Age and Haikyuu!! were the most fucked.

Undead Unluck was by far the best well received first chapter until now, for at least most of the first day of votes the manga was only behind Chainsaw Man until OP started to rise a lot and Jujutsu caught up in the last two days of the poll, quite impressive.

Thanks, it's better now, one curiosity, actually Undead Unluck was at least third for basically the entire week until Jujutsu suddenly got a rise in the votes in the last days but with the discounted votes ended up in fifth.

Agravity Boys dropped hard ;-;

Understandable though I guess, it's certainly hard to follow up the "send fan letters to Nakamura-sensei" chapter.

Could be a bit of nostalgia yes, since I don't remember that much of a issue writing wise except after the halfway point. But as Rica said, when the manga was in the best moments, these moments are genuine awesome. Yabuki's art is a big plus for itself too, the way he draws the fight scenes and with how clever you can see the movements made everything feels more immersive. A Battle Shounen made by him nowadays, considering how much he improved, would have one of the best looking fights in the current lineup tbh.

That makes me curious, One Piece is quite clearly the slowest paced WSJ adaptation but which do people think is the fastest?

Jojo part 4 went especially fast, 4.5 chapters per ep roughly in total I think, but is there anything faster than that? How much did Houshin Engi/Soul Hunter adapt?
Hinomaru Zumou? I'm not sure if its a good thing or not that people are forgetting that anime...

I think Food Wars is up there with its later seasons.
Is My Hero Kekkai Sensen now? I mean that’s cool I just wish somebody would have told me
I dont see the resemblance to kekkai sensen
