Not necessarily, the raw is out there easily to find and many Yuuna chapters are good even only looking at the raw if you know what i mean, i would easily vote in a very ecchi chapter of Yuuna juat by the raw :cheez
Usually, i'd agree, but this chapter seemed to foucus on actual development. Next chapter will be a riot though.

Haikyu been deserving this appreciation since this final arc started and even before. Chainsaw Man thing is starting to feel a bit overrated with a few chapters that have been pretty anticlimactic, don't know if it's been even that good. Have the same feeling with this chapter of Agravity, which has been way more boring than the rest. Even Mitama was more interesting and I'm not even a fan of any of them. Curious to see Neverland getting such a huge amount of first-place votes, honestly latest chapters have been nice and deserved. Anyway, not like any of this matters, since poll keeps invaded by western votes that you can practically see reflected on Samurai 8 and that just makes the sample used even lower and more unuseful than it was before.
That's the beauty of Chainsaw, the anticlimax just leaves you wanting more. Though I will agree that Agravity 5 was a bit of a letdown compared to chapter 4.

I'm really liking these new series. Mashle isn't the most original, but it was still full of charm. I wonder what its direction will be. I can see it finding success with a tone like Iruma-kun's, but I doubt it will survive if it takes a more battle focused direction with this amateurish, simple art, because I think it's way below (the non-gag) WSJ standard.

UxU was great too. Managed to turn the uncomfortable stuff into a weirdly cute and twisted romance with its "power" system. And just as it introduced some X-Men like premise it teases to turn the whole thing upside down. Really unique setup and dynamics in this one.

Getting major ONE vibes from Mashle. Liked this one the most out of the four most recent serialization.

This Jump issue has been the strongest one I recall. The only manga I felt weak this week was Agravity Boys. I wouldn't be able to decide the manga to vote in the poll right now.

PD: Mashle has been for me a curious mix of Harry Potter, Black Clover, and Onepunchman.

Now to wait for Witch's Guardian, to confirm these Pandora Hearts vibes, and to pray it doesn't suffer in the ToC.

Yozakura, Mitama, and Agravity had great chapters this week. Zipman is still kind of boring imo, Undead Unluck is fine I guess but I’m not invested in it at all. Mashle was ok, and I’m curious to see where it goes, but I wish the backgrounds weren’t so sparse. I feel like if that continues once we get to as cool a setting as “magic school” that could really hurt it.

While this Jump week has been pretty strong, I've found this chapter of Chainsawman one of the weakest Jump chapters this week. But ey, is a chapter that explains the american brother trio.

I thought MASHLE was pretty good, though it clearly wears it's inspirations on it's sleeve. Also not craving another comedic series at the moment as I do like Mitama and Agravity, though MASHLE still had some good gags. UxU was good as well. Agravity and Mitama both had some of my favorite chapters so far, with Mitama giving a really nice conclusion to the body arc. Still don't really care about Zipman, but the action was cool at least. Yozakura was ok, about what I'd expect.

Mashle is very cliche but I'm sold. It does have a lot of similarities with OPM and Mob.
I'm curious to see how japanese readers will receive it.

Out of curiosity, I've read the second chapter of UxU and the author actually went ahead with the bang 'joke' and made the naked male protagonist corner the girl on a dark alley. The panelling is very suggestive too. Whoa, definitely not for me, but I think it'll survive.

Mashle had a decent first chapter. Some parts of it made me laugh a little bit, more so than Agravity's first chapter did. Seems like the classmates will start being introduced in the next chapter or 2, which really makes or breaks a comedy series. However, the artwork is pretty basic, which can sometimes play in one's favor, I think this hurts series more often than it helps them. The artwork isn't as awful as Seiji Tanaka, but I'd rank this the same quality as Invade You.

This has been one of my ongoing concerns for Mitama's popularity since I find the art style to be its weakest point, but I've been growing used to it and the most recent color page definitely captured that family-esque soothing vibe it was going for. The conclusion to Mitama's baseball arc was also brilliant: heartfelt and funny. I'm really hoping that the first volume of this sells well. I'm not sure if my heart could handle this getting axed after losing David-kun and Double Taisei. I hope that evil spirit user will return again soon.

Undead Unluck's second chapter was much better for me than the first one. Although I felt neutrally towards the first chapter, I will give it to the author that they seem to be excellent at pacing their chapters. Both of these chapters had the perfect balance of comedy, action, backstory, foreshadowing, plot, and PLOT. I wasn't really expecting the story to go in this type of direction for our main duo, but I'm pleasantly surprised by the turn of events. If the next chapter is this good, I'll start to feel more optimistic for its future.

Agravity Boys is just so dull. I find myself smirking maybe a couple times tops during each chapter. Most of the time there's nothing wrong with the chapter, but there's not really anything great about it either. Every chapter just ends with me going "oh, alright then" and moving on. Each chapter just seems to throw huge passages of text onto each page, which greatly hurt Saiyuki's reception. I was hoping by now we'd have more alien interaction and planet exploration than what we've gotten. The author literally has a setting where they could make up whatever zany design or phenomenon they want, and they have chapter after chapter of them in the ship with a token poop joke. My guess is the first chapter will rank in the middle, but it'll sink quickly if chapters like this keep getting pumped out.

Yozakura's chapter was alright this week as well. Interested to see what will happen next with this upcoming plot development. The series is definitely in a shaky spot right now, but not more so than new series typically tend to be. If I recall correctly, Poro sold about 15k for its first volume, so do you guys think Yozakura will sell more, less or the same as Poro? I think if it manages to sell 15k, it'll be safe for the time being as long as either 1) its second volume doesn't plummet and/or 2) every other newbie is unexpectedly a massive hit.

No comment on Zipman since it was dropped after chapter 3 for being too boring, me finding the MCs to be tedious, and me being unable to stop thinking I opened a chapter of BnHA every time I'd try reading it lol.

My top 5 for this week would go as follows:

1. We Never Learn - I really can't wait to see what'll happen next week, but I'm not sure if my heart can take the potential outcome.
2. Mitama - Amazing conclusion to a fairly serious arc that the author totally knocked out of the park.
3. Act-Age - Those last few pages really had me cheering, just like if I was an audience member.
4. Undead Unluck - I'm now very curious to see what direct the story will take.
5. Mashle - I was torn between this and Yozakura, but I'll give this one the benefit of the doubt for having a decent first chapter, especially for a total newbie author

While Mashle was okay, felt way too much like a ONE series to me.

To the point where I legitimately wondered if ONE is actually the creator of the series and writing under a different name, which I’m pretty certain isn’t the case

Having to convince the main character not to rape you (yet) is so funny. /s

Hadn't it already exceeded 25 million copies?
That's just the latest announced number, but kimetsu moves so fast that it isn't up to date anymore. Current number should probably be above 30m for circulation.

Man, what a sweet chapter of Mitama. I'm so invested in the cast now that if the first volume bombs in sales and get the axe I would be immensely sad.
I don't feel that strongly about it but it did grow on me honestly, I hope it lives

I really liked Mashle, it had some nice jokes, the setting is nice and it can expand it bigger stuff. The art was pretty basic, but it's not something that I actually mind. Zipman had some cool action this week. Agravity just got an even worse chapter, I really couldn't care less about this series. UxU's fixation on making a joke out of sexual harrassment is tasteless. Yozakura was still fun this week, but more of the same, let's see if it delves deeper into its lore next week. I liked the conclusion to Mitama's Body Arc (though I wish the author wouldn't pair Mitama and Rena romantically). As for other series, AA wins this week for me, with BNHA, JJK, HQ and KNY following suit.

Hadn't it already exceeded 25 million copies?
It has, but the last official figure we got was when volume 18 released (almost 2 months ago). We probably should get the new number next week with volume 19.

MASHLE seems pretty fun, though I don't know if it's going the action or comedy route.

UxU had an excellent followup chapter.

Chainsaw is going places...that scene in the car felt really raw in it's violence. It felt real, it felt brutal, and I dig it.

Mitama's body arc finally ends on a high note, i'm getting attached to this series ngl.

WNL's chapter gave me Yuuna chapter 49 vibes(a chapter that really fucked me up), in fact, it's pretty much the same thing. Clock is ticking for Moeman.

Agravity wasn't amazing, but I still enjoyed it. The whole premise of having an entire chapter reolve around characters debating on what to call the planet is the type of stuff that I like. And that title drop was pretty good too.

I haven't really been excited by Neverland for a while, but the past 2 chapters have intrigued me again.
