Y’all really like to ignore that Bleach is legit one of the best selling and most recognizable titles in the entire anime/manga industry, and act as if it was just some small moderate hit lmao
And I’m referring to Dragon Ball Super, which started nearly 20 years after the original manga’s run
I actually think it's gonna be the opposite. Kubo loves to draw. I think he might do the art himself.
But again, this is assuming it is indeed a new manga. Could just be another one shot for Bleach's anniversary or something.
Eh. Bleach isn't a moderate success that didn't leave anything behind. It's the 6th best selling series of all time from WSJ and one of their most recognizable titles especially in this modern age of the internet.
Not to forget, how a lot of current mangaka have stated the influence Bleach had on them. And it'd make sense for TV Tokyo to bring back Bleach since even years after ending, it still pops up in their year end lists. Not to forget, for the majority of its run, Bleach's anime got decent to good ratings.
The last 2 years were when it really dipped, arguably because of the poor filler episodes and arc placements.

So if TV Tokyo can bring back Bleach without fillers and a much better pacing, it can do well.
I like how Tsurun gave up on finding appealing character designs for the 90 ghosts remaining and is making the public do his/her service. That's the kind of thing you can do only on gag manga lol.
I believe whatever this new work is, Kubo will still be in charge of the artwork. He may team up with a writer to have less work, but his art is too cool to go to waste.
I don't think it's a new series, it's bleach 20th anniversary, so I believe it's either Strike the witch serialized in the mag/the supposed ova, or a continuation of bleach aka where are they now. But still, it must something very big. Kinda weird they didn't prepare this for Jump Festa last year.

I would love to see Kubo back with a weekly series, but maybe they could have a lot of planned breaks so he doesn't burn out. Like run enough chapters for a volume, and then go on break for a couple of months, like Saike did in Sunday.

Even if Gotouge ends it by the middle of the year, the anime's going to be around for a while. That alone should keep the sales on a steady rise towards its end.
