What’s the Jump Plus view count system like?

I'm not sure if it's directly tied to views, but I'm pretty sure that's what this Top 5 is on the Jump Plus website. I think it resets every week.

I see. But Yuuna is a lot more fanservicy that Nisekoi was. At that point, it wouldn't really even be about the game anymore. After all, there's a quite a few possibilities with ecchi volleyball senarios....

Have to say, looking at the new series, I think Jump is...holding itself back, I guess? Like, I can't inherently disagree with new series being added, but with so many promising creators and one-shots, you'd think something like Mashle would be lower on the totem pole.

Does anyone know why MANGA Plus has reset the view-count for every series? I don't really care tbh, but I thought that they were supposed to be lifetime views. Are they switching over to a viewing system similar to Jump Plus?

Probably because they found out the obvious botting some fans were doing for some series (specially Boruto), and other series where also showing this type of tactics in the last week, like Act Age and Jujutsu. TBH, its just a funny situation and if they change it for weekly instead of lifetime, thats fine by me.

You know, just because you cant grasp the fact Mashle is being very popular here you dont need to use the manga as a example for a narrative that SJ is "holding back" and supposedly releasing inferior series, overral this was a very good serialization round.

It could be, but everything should have been reseted to 0, the rankings right now seems to be about the views the series did this last week or just taking into account what the last chapters of each series did on views. Thats why they seem to be opting to probably just resetting it each week.

As an aside, looking at the release dates for upcoming volumes and how Yozakura got pushed back, I'm suspecting that Yozakura has been already marked for cancellation due to poor reception, hence Jump not giving it a priority release whereas Mitama, which they do seem interested in supporting, is going through.

This is complete speculation, but I think it's possible, at any rate.

the ending... it was really: F u Tanaka , I'm the irritated king so u deserve to die, and was super cheap. With that he lose his possession for the death note.. It axed the meaning what death note stands for and the author just gave it an diablos deus ex machina... would be a perfect ending and satisfying if he survived to let more people buy the one-shot if it release, Ya know you the GOAT over light when even the King had to kill you

the build-up and premise was really interesting imo and made me happy with the nostalgia when beginning reading, the mc shows how the old method wont work in today's era and shine through it. An average yet so smart guy that presents today's era

I've never understood the comparison between We Never Learn and Quintessential Quintuplets beyond the very basic premise. I love We Never Learn, but even after forcing myself through 5 volumes of Quintessential Quintuplets, I can't really say I care about it much at all. I definitely don't think it's some groundbreaking, genre defining title like some people claim.

Spoiler: 5toubun and WNL opinion

Eh, to each their own. Although to be fair, the similarities stretch a bit beyond that. Doesn’t help that both mangaka are actually friends, and that both serializations started and ended in similar timeframes. And if things keep going the way they are, both of them will have similar winners.

Personally, I found there to be this relatively constant forward momentum that 5toubun had that WNL simply doesn’t. It always felt as if each chapter was moving the plot along in some way to me, which is rare in a romcom. The beginning of the story is the weakest part, but I liked how it’s characters developed over the course of the story - I went from despising Nino to legitimately liking her, for example. Also, it was the only bowl harem romcom manga where I’ve felt where anybody could win, as opposed to WNL, where it always felt like it was going to be either Fumino or Sensei...until recently.

Of course, there’s flaws - I think WNL is poised to have a better ending simply because it’s taking its time - but overall I enjoyed myself. A lot of people seem to agree, considering the massive numbers it’s been pulling in. You can disagree with me on this, but this is just my perspective.
