Since we're one week away from seeing KNY 19's first week numbers, how much do you guys think it will sell? Do you guys think it can sell more than OP's biggest 6-day week in the past few years (1,862,800 with OP 85 back in 2017) or do you think they aren't going to send out enough reprints this week to cover this number?
My estimate: Higher than you think.

There is no guarantee it will update for both since it has many random delays, but hopefully yes.

Ooh! Mitama's first chapter has passed 10K likes on Twitter! Nowhere near the behemoth that Chainsaw Man's first chapter was, but still sizable. I doubt much of it will translate into sales (especially since Hatomune never linked a place for people to buy the first volume, lol), but the series might be able to last for a little while! If it can at least live long enough to celebrate it's first anniversary, I'll be happy.
He also did another tweet talking about the volume release (using his pigeon mask) and just like in the 1st chapter tweet, from what I have seen, mostly reactions are really positive. Some people posting pictures with the 1st volume already and I did spot a fan of Naked Swan (Hatomune previously work) as well, lol.

Ughh.....that Yuuna chapter really did a number on me. I'm so emotionaly desolate right now that I might as well be called Gabimaru..It's too much for me to handle.

Does anyone know why MANGA Plus has reset the view-count for every series? I don't really care tbh, but I thought that they were supposed to be lifetime views. Are they switching over to a viewing system similar to Jump Plus?
Probably because they found out the obvious botting some fans were doing for some series (specially Boruto), and other series where also showing this type of tactics in the last week, like Act Age and Jujutsu. TBH, its just a funny situation and if they change it for weekly instead of lifetime, thats fine by me.
Is it weekly though? For some series it checks out, but for others it really doesn't (there's no way Dragon Ball, TPN, Platinum End, H&H, Konjirou, ... got that many views in the last week alone. But Dragon Ball should be much higher if it was about the last chapter).

It's not monthly either, because then One Piece is way too low.

And Neolation, which was at the bottom this morning with 531, shot up to 2517 views today. So that rules out any kind of averages, too.

It could be, but everything should have been reseted to 0, the rankings right now seems to be about the views the series did this last week or just taking into account what the last chapters of each series did on views. Thats why they seem to be opting to probably just resetting it each week.
SxF went down since this morning, so no. It has to be a continious thing.

Hmm, so something interesting happened with MangaPlus, huh.

From what I gathered, they removed every duplicate view from all the series (as in, a person clicking on a chapter multiple times, or a person clicking on different chapters from the same series). Which means, only one IP view per one series from now on.
Why would they do that? I mean, multiple hits per chapter I can understand, but it doesn't make much sense to ignore the views for every new chapter.

Also, to look at a concrete example, Yui Kamio was at 181 000 before and now it's at 683. According to your reasoning, that means the average reader viewed the series 265 times. I don't think that's it.

As an aside, looking at the release dates for upcoming volumes and how Yozakura got pushed back, I'm suspecting that Yozakura has been already marked for cancellation due to poor reception, hence Jump not giving it a priority release whereas Mitama, which they do seem interested in supporting, is going through.

This is complete speculation, but I think it's possible, at any rate.
They just started publishing Yozakura in Spanish though. Kind of weird if they already know it's getting cancelled.

Hmm...can't tell if that's good or bad...

Though it's better than Interrogation Princess, which is a gag which Jump+ considers a hit.

Yozakura above Mitama, even as a Yozakura fan was not expecting to see that anywhere. What is Honto a ranking of? Definitely don't see it brought up as much as Shoseki or Oricon.

Small aside, but I'm surprised there was never any controversy surrounding Bleach and the Vanderreich, considering all the Nazi and Jewish references in the organization.

It's a ranking for a single (fairly large I think) manga store.

Oh, this is quite nice? These are slightly better (or on par, it's up to your interpretation) than S8's first days on Honto with volumes 2 and 3 (57 and 58, respectively). Let's see how this translates into Shoseki.

At minimum, we're not getting a wholesale disaster like the Taibei Squad.

That's quite nice then, though I doubt either will have a tail like S8 did, that does bode somewhat well.

I'm taking as reference that Interrogation Princess did around 10k copies on its first two weeks, and we have data from Oricon for its first week which was 7k, so even if it depends on how do they hold for the whole week, I like seeing they start being over this Jump+ series, whose performance is not bad at all. It will be interesting seeing how everything develops, but we should refrain neutral for now.

Definitely. I just used S8 because well, it's the last Jump manga to have survived the axe. Sadly we'll only have Shoseki's estimates since they probably won't show up in Oricon and we won't see the definite numbers (Damn you KNY backlog).

I don't condone those people, anything that goes extreme is beyond sympathy. Also, there was another hashtag asking for an apology.

MHA of course, Hayashi Yuuki is a genious. My fave tracks are "Worthy Rival, Written and Read as 'Friend'", "Jet Set Run", "You Can Be a Hero" "All Might with U.A Students", "Your Power" and "Might+U". If you like Hayashi's work, you should check Run with the Wind's OST out, especially "We Must Go", "Black Bullet" and "The Wind Blows Strong". Also, Go Shiina is someone I'll keep my eyes on since "Kamado Tanjirou no Uta" was a complete masterpiece and there were some other cool tracks in the OST.
I 100% agree with this. The music for both MHA and Kimetsu no Yaiba is really fucking good. I definitely need to listen to more of the latter sometime.

Okay, so I did not expect Yozakura to rank higher than Miitama, I'm really surprised. Both of those rankings are good. Shoseki numbers may give broader indication of about how well these series did, but if they truly did about as well or better than Samurai 8, we may have our first hits since Chainsawman. Hopefully. Jump's really gonna need a lot of fucking hits this year.

Thank the lord, Mitama actually ranked..

That title reminds me of the time when Masakazu Katsura held that ass-drawing seminar once.
The article does actually provide some nice insight into the Mangaka/editor relationship. It also confirms that Miura works digitally. Does anyone know which Jump mangaka uses paper and which other ones uses digital?
