Henceforth, I will be deleting posts that complain about Weekly Shonen Jump having too many/not enough gag/battle/exorcism/sports/etc series.

These posts are not insightful, and do not meaningfully contribute to this thread. Also, this decision is not up for discussion, so posts discussing this decision will also be deleted.~ Halloween

I’m just realizing Dragon Ball Super Broly grossed $125 Million worldwide.

Is this the most successful movie release from a Jump property
Probably?

Still doesn't mean we're going to get more Super anime unless Toei drags Toriyama's lazy ass off his chair :derp

You seem to be ignoring that the vast majority of "long-running" anime that air nowadays are kids anime. Congratulations, you miss the point behind why these series are long-running to begin with.

Have to say, it's really disappointing what Zipman turned out to be.

The idea of a Toku Jump series could've been really cool, and instead it's...nothing.
Long running anime were used to be a mature themes like Yu-yu hakusho, Fist of the north star, Rorounin kenshin and D. Grayman.

They were iconic but nowadays Seasonals are just playing safe if WSJ didn't confident to invest long running episodes like One piece.

I think if Kimetsu no yaiba were million seller from the beginning then it could be long running anime long ago instead.

No, that's the broadcasting stations decisions. Not Shueisha's.

WSJ has no say whether a series is long running or seasonal LOL, its up to the production committee, then the studio simply follows the orders of the committee

Have to say, its a little surprising Jump isn't in a bigger rush to fill the hole WNL and Yuuna will leave once they end. Since Cross Account, the only romance manga to debut in Jump since then was Alice & Taiyo.

Was that a romance manga? I thought it was more of a music manga. Shame it got axed and Edited Mangas are taking forever to finish, I quite liked what I read of it.

2.5D Seduction has finally been restocked in Amazon, Yozakura meanwhile has 20 copies left with more on the way.
...So Yozakura's sticking around then?

In fairness, I've never read it myself.

They have, they're the ones who decide to accept or not a studio offer based on what they want or if they want something specific they go themselves looking for a studio and companies, i feel like i posted this 3 times in the forum but again: https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/in...-jump-editor-in-chief-hiroyuki-nakano/.143096

In the topics about animes Nakano basically says that SJ accept or denies the studio offers based on what they think is more suitable for the series, for BNHA and Neverland they were approached by the studios and accepted the seasonal format, Neverland being a case of a dark series and they needed detailed art and for that it would take time.

With Black Clover Nakano said that they wanted to be in a evening spot like Naruto and they also wanted to be produced for over a year so they picked Pierrot.

So basically they have a lot of say in the sense of being the ones who say the yes or no to the studios based on what they want for the series

Question, is it known why Ryo Nakama ended Isobee Monogatari? The series was basically in a place where Nakama could continue it forever, and yet he just ended it in 2017 with little fanfare. Why?

This is the progress of the ranks for both newbies during these first 6 days or basically their first week:

Mission: Yozakura Family
#40 > #60 > #69 > #114 > #125 > #140

Mitama Security
#51 > #96 > #167 > #167 >#423 > OUT

Also, it's a little shocking that Torture Princess is doing such mediocre numbers considering that the promo comic Haraharu Robinson posted has a goddamn insane amount of notes:

Literal freaking F for Mitama, unless it pulls through anyway for being a gag manga or plays the sells poorly/popular in the magazine card, but I'm excited by Yozakura hanging up there. Hopefully it has room to grow, because it will need it to compete in the magazine at all, but I feel like it's not quite the axe fodder some people thought it was at this point, either.

Two questions:

1. Can we determine sales from this?

2. How does Yozakura's compares to Poro?
