Rogue and Minerva are not serious threats for Jellal.

Single one who able to hold Jellal in SB is Sting.

Main problem for SB - they dont have so much "named" members (they've just 10, including 2 cats).

I won't be consider Lector and Frosh as "fighers", so we've:

Sting
Rogue
Minerva
Rufus
Oleg
Yukino
Sorano
Dobengal

Ppl from SB may be good support, but if Jellal attacks reach them, it would be oneshot.

OS vs Jellal was 5 vs 1, here we've 8 vs one.

Hard to say, really, both sides are able to win.

Rogue and Sting as separate entities make it easier for Jellal to take one out of the game and essentially make it impossible for Sabertooth to even leave a dent on him.

While I do agree that rough silk is probably superior to Kyria's roar, it's not to the point that it would heavily damage Jellal given what it could already do to Erza and what Kyria could do to Natsu with a regular slash.

I know you're trying to hype rough silk but bringing him up isn't doing your argument any favours.

That's great and all but what makes you think Larcade is durable enough that he would take Kyria's roar and be relatively uninjured without even a single cut similar to Jellal? His best feat was stopping Kagura's sword with two of his fingers, which for what it's worth is an impressive attack, but it's not even close to what Kyria's roar should be capable of doing to even the likes of Natsu and Erza. This, at the very least, puts Jellal's durability above theirs.

Jellal wasn't even damaged by Neinhart's attack, he just drowned, that's why he was knocked out. He was literally up and running as soon as Kagura gave him a CPR.

If anything, the fact that he reacted (to something Kagura couldn't even perceive) and ran to Kagura to block it is quite an impressive feat.
2 is better than 1. I don't see what you're arguing.

Jellal doesn't have the durability feats enough to tank the attack.

Jiemma was a tank during Tartaros.

I'm arguing it's more practical to have just Sting eat Rogue's MP. 2 is better than 1 but are you really gonna argue that Sting with just his MP would not get taken out easier than if he had Rogue's? Because it looked to me that Bradman and Larcade pretty much solo'd their guild and Blue Pegasus beforehand.

I literally just gave you my reasoning why Jellal does and you just repeated what you said? lol okay.

Tartaros? You think a tank from Tartaros is useful to current standings of the Fairy Tail universe? Are you actually saying that one-shotting Tartaros Jiemma is a good reason why it would one-shot 100YQ Jellal? I knew Jellal was heavily underrated but damn, this is some good material. :3c

Well, this exactly. Been saying it for a while.

Jellal clearly wasn't damaged by Neinhart's attack at ALL. He didn't even have a single scratch, obviously the reason why became unconscious was because he injested too much water by force.

If anything, that he wasn't physically damaged by a Spriggan level attack; and the fact the he kept pace with an attack that Kagura couldn't even perceive and Erza barely reacted to, in his base (without meteor), is a plus for him

I think Jellal will have easier time with Sabertooth than with Oracion Seis.

Because x791 Cobra was able to mid diff x791 pre-second origins Erza, Midnights scales higher than Cobra, and Racer was able to give high dff to x791 Mira.
x791 Oracion Seis members were much stronger than x791 Sabertooth members.
Jellal actually needed significant effort to put them down.

On the other hand, IMO, all members of Sabertooth, except dual elements Sting, will be flies to Jellal.

HE means relative.

If we take his hype at face value, Jiemma was a demon even stronger than Kyouka (which makes him at least as strong as x791 Erza), and x791 rough silk took him out.
This means that x792 rough silk would sale to x792 Erza (not saying it would take her out, she's a damn tank, but it would injure her significantly), since relative power levels between twin Dragons and FT members stayed around the same.

@August_Lightning
Yeah, I think that is a compelling argument.
I think rough silk would do significant damage if they manage to connect it. Don't think it will one shot tho. Jellal has a few spells that could one shot Sabertooth members as well - Self destruction (literal one shot spell), Abyss Break (hype), Sema and maybe Altaris

I'm conflicted now lmao, still think Jellal takes this but it could go extreme diff (due to the sheer number of people in Saber side).

It would be better to have 2 more than 1. Yea and Larcade would wipe the floor with Jellal.

Lol ok. Rough Silk would near Ko Jellal if it lands
There is no reason as to why Jellal's durability would miles ahead of Laracdes or Tartaros Jellal and Jiemma

Come on are you that slow? During Tartaros Jiemma was a tank and that attack took him out. It's called getting stronger and now that attack could take out someone like Jellal. It's all about landing it.

He just doesn't have feats, All he has is one shotting Neinhart and his supposed "feats" against Acnologia have been wanked out of proportion. Based on feats a lot of people have surpassed him, it's all about his hype that's keeping him afloat

Tip: Read my post before you @me

Abyss break is featless, I don't think he would suicide and Altaris isn't a one shot spell

Who wanks Jellal here, lol. Even the sole Jellal fan here @Ebony Maw doesn't wank him lmao.

Jellal's "feat" against Acno are as credible as Eileen's, people here mostly bring it up to counter Eileen wank lol. At best, if we are being generous, there are a few speed feats from it. Nobody, as far as I know, use it to wank Jellal, at least here

He, along with Gray, are definitely the most underrated mages in this forum IMO

Sure. But based on hype it's one of his top 3 spells (others being Self Destruction and Sema).

Self Destruction spell self destructs the target he casts it on. It's a spell placed upon a target, which makes them explode (or destroy from within) once the circle/code is complete. He doesn't need to kill himself to do it, he was going to die because he cast it on himself because Erza got the guy guilty lol. It's not a "side effect" of the spell.
For eg: he destroyed a mountain in flashback, it didn't kill him. it's anime only, maybe Mashima asked it the spell be demonstrated as such (likely IMO), or maybe just filler.......I'm just putting it out there

Didn't say it was. I just meant that it's strong enough to one shot any Sabertooth mage, except maybe dual elements Sting, since it was hyped to kill Natsu or Erza

Altaris isn't a one shot spell
I think it's one kill skill.
Jellal did not use it even once after Simon death.

Altair (الطائر) is a bird. So, eagle star maybe mean ~ star which bring death.

But just a suspicion. Hard to say about skill which was used in manga only once and which was ended with actual death of character.

***

If judge by drawing (but it was hella long time ago):

Altair didnt seriously damaged Simon body, so it looks like Death curse in Harry Potter.

Ohh I didn't know that. Interesting.

But I don't see it as a one shot spell, it's just a black hole that's sent at the enemy. A strong spell, that's about it IMO

Abyss break hasn't had hype since ToH, again I don't see Altaris cutting by itself.

Imeant in general those feats are wanked. He's underrated because he's featless

You did not get a point.

Some Natsu attacks make targets look like after KFC roast. But they're alive after all.

Simon body was pretty well after Altair, but he died, so attack should move across his "skin and meat" and affect life force.

Ok and my point is I don't see it ending the fight on it's own

Yeah, but it scales. It's a spell that's far superior to the likes of Grand Chariot and Altaris.

I don't know about Reddit, but if I have to guess from what's spoken of it in here, maybe he's wanked there lol

If I am to guess, it crushed all his organs since it was a black hole.

Actually Altair (as star) is not black hole star.

But it's 12th brightest star in the night sky.

And we 've question with it, why it did nt crucify his "skin and meat" ;)

Why would it be superior to GC and when that's been used and has feats?

You can't scale it anymore since it's featless and hypeless.

Easy,
He used Altair when he was really pissed and wished to kill. He didnt use it after.
On other hand he used GS very easily.

About his principles there's good dialogue between him and August.

That's my point, if it was truly one of his strongest he would've used it more.

Hes been in kill mode after that moment and has never used it

It seemed like one. It was pulling light or something.

Gravity doesn't necessarily need to pull apart the body and wound

It was one of the most hyped spells in entire x784, it's hype was on Fairy Law level. So not hypeless.

It's superior to GC cause he uses Grand Chaiot like Slayers use their roar. While Abyss Break was his finishing spell of the arc; it was his final resort

By that logic, Laxus would be using law more often. It's FT lol

Nah.

It's look like using darkness against his credo

At same time

he calls that skill with "endless darkness"

Not really. Sure, it takes a lot of magic power, but it's not nearly close to maximum potential. And it's magic power consumed is proportional to the number of enemies and power of enemies it's cast on.
Makarov used law against Jose and didn't appear tired at all.
Laxus got tired only because he intended to use it on all of Magnolia.

Come on dude, are do really saying that Grand Chariot has bigger hype than Altairis?
Jellal used Grand Chariot when he was casual with Natsu.
Jellal used Altaris when he was much more serious and pissed off, and wanted to kill. Erza was convinced that the spell would kill Natsu or her.
Jellal was going to use Abyss Break as the last resort, it was clearly the strongest spell he was about to use in TOH. It's hype is similar to the hype of Law, most time of Phantom Lord arc was involved in stopping the spell.

IMO:
Grand Chariot and spells he used on Acno (don't remember them) are equivalent of roar - a mid tier spell
Altairis is equivalent of secret arts - a high tier spell
Abyss Break, Sema and Self Destruction are equivalents of Fire Dragon King's purgatory and brilliant flames - top tier spells

Not comparing the power of spells, just putting relative tiers of spells for Jellal and Natsu
