Mobas are only big in korea and china, they aren't popular in Japan at all.
But they are known there. There are plenty of Japanese fan artists who draw fanart of Moba characters, kids watch the livestreams (at least I see plenty of japanese flag users there) and there has to be SOME Moba community there as well. it's not like Japan is a country which hates video games, far from it.
Mobile gacha games, then.
Japan would go nucking futs for a series based on that.
Ain't that just a game based on luck? And what you gonna do with it? Get a real cute, sexy, beautiful girl outta the gacha ball when you rolled a 0.00001% chance and have the MC gather a harem of lovely Gacha girls who turn out to be some sort of weapon against some unexplained evil and then have some drama by the most beloved girl die and disappear for the MC to keep rolling Gachas ignoring the other girls untill he gets the lost girl back just to realize that she is a "new version" and has no idea who he is or what happened during the time spend together?
They should make a manga where the protagonists make their own game company and in which greedy game companies like EA and Activision are the antagonists.
I like that!
So far whenever game development was involved it was usually VN and Ero games. Maybe have it start like an Indie company with Mobile games to make money, then later crowdfund a "real game" with story and multiplayer and such and then fight off other big studios trying to take them over and grab their know-how and such. But that would include a big knowledge on how games are exactly made and that looks often way less fun than people imagine it when they have the final product in front of them.
Recap numbers time:

3. Haikyu!! 42
4. Jujutsu Kaisen 10
14. Chainsaw Man 6
26. Jigokuraku 9
33. Dr Stone REBOOT
67. Samurai 8 4
144. Mitama Secureity 2
Sad for Mitama. :c
Damnit, is there nothing that'll make a successful gag manga nowadays!?
Big tits probably.
If it grows in the next volumes, it gonna stay for sure if Zipman and Mitama have to leave and other newcomers fail to crush expectations.
there was that one dude on Jump Plus that won a oneshots competition to get serialized and never received his award, he was seething about it on twitter
apparently Jump Plus editors told him if he gets the number 1 rank in Plus rankings he would get serialized, his oneshot did get the number 1 place but he never got a series
the oneshot was also deleted from Jump Plus site
outside of Jump, there's the famous story of Gash Bell author and Shonen Sunday where he went to court over mistreatment and won
Keijo author also criticized Sunday for how he was treated during the serialization, he asked them to hire him assistants for more than a year but they didn't, they didn't search for more sponsors for the anime and the manga was constantly placed in the back even when the anime was airing
Dang, really? Keijo was actually good in my opinion. Good as in take a whacky idea, make it super serious and a national sport and then go full JoJo/Fate and have stuff happen like the thousand butt attack or Sayajin mode and just toss a whole bucket of fanservice in it which due its theme feels natural because the girls have to compete in swimsuits anyway. Plus it had real nice character development of the girls, the whole rival becoming friends thing and upping the stakes with every arc.
In case Mitama doesnt live, I'm gonna go pray to a shrine for Mashle to make it then!
Once Mashle Vol.1 comes out we can guess its possible future better.
Or they could base it upon an established game, like what dancing midget mangaka is doing with magic the gathering.
"Destroy all of humanity. It can't be regenerated." Yeah, that is a fun one. I especially like the translators extra information about the cards and the past of MoG with its different generational experiments. What established game would you pick?
Personally I liked the
Houkago Saikoro Club manga/anime with the many different boardgames/cardgames introduced and played and ofc the development of an own boardgame, something I'd love to do but would be way too scared and lazy to actually attempt it. I really hope this gets a new translation soon, been months since the last chapter.........
