Henceforth, I will be deleting posts that complain about Weekly Shonen Jump having too many/not enough gag/battle/exorcism/sports/etc series.

These posts are not insightful, and do not meaningfully contribute to this thread. Also, this decision is not up for discussion, so posts discussing this decision will also be deleted.~ Halloween

Not with absolute certainty, but, then again, we can't do it entirely for the ENG side either.
No no, I get that. What I'm saying is, can you gauge interest to an appreciable/meaningful degree?

Isn't something really hard to do, you just need time or patience to do, my posts about Agravity Boys are because i noticed many jp tweets about Agravity Boys being good, they placing the series at first or second between the 5 new series and also the weekly twitter polls. Also noticed that with Yozakura first volume release many people started to tweet about Yozakura being really interesting and etc, and after the release the series started to recover in the toc

The Wall
The only good things about Kaguya is rule 34.
Madara actually has a decent motive, but he just went on for too long and got really stale, then ended up like a little bitch.
Obito is pure trash, trash as a villain, fucking "coolest guy" and shit. The Tobi part is fun tho, I wish we was in a timeline which Tobi was his own character and fucked shit up for the lulz.

This brings up an interesting idea. What would you guys say is your top 10 Jump villains? You can do top 5 or 3 if you want as well.
No order

To be fair the whole popular just start after the big animation/season which KnY get, it really became very popular because of the anime, the current battle hasn´t really anything done with the great popular of KnY.

The fight and the ending is really bad, it’s full of legit asspulls, constant repetition with the fight, and very weak character work for Muzan. He’s so flat.
It never though that someone could surpass Kaguya - DemonKing - Big Mom as bad villian of all time in the history of the mangas. The previous arcs get great stuffs and also good writing villians with good fightstyle, Muzan as final villian is so bad he didn´t come even close to the greatness of the previous villians.

In my opinion the ending right now in KnY might be even worse then the one in Naruto/Bleach endings, at least their final villians get a better threat and also the fight wasn´t lame as right now the battle with Muzan.
Lol, I'm sorry but this is so silly that I had to laugh at it.
"NOOOO THIS 20 CHAPTER FIGHT IS BAD IT'S LITERALLY WORSE THAN 200 CHAPTERS OF GOING TO SHIT"

Not that I'm going to deny that the fight with Muzan is very meh or anything, mind you, but this is such a reach it's actually pretty funny. Muzan having a weak fight also doesn't ruin the story at all, contrary to stuff like freaking Kaguya appearing from fucking nowhere and Obito turning good, which absolutely did.

The medicine is very convenient, Muzan's abilities are boring and the choreography for the fight has been pretty weak, which is a shame because I can really get behind what Wani was going for with a super desperate fight on both sides, everyone is tired as fuck and just dragging themselves to buy even 1 minute while Muzan is just desperate to escape. There is some very cool stuff there, just a poor execution.

Now if after Muzan dies something like his eye having a Kanji with "Celestial Moon 6" or some shit like that appears, that ruins the story. Not a poorly executed fight.

In no order

Vegeta (before he becomes good)
Frieza
Zabuza
Itachi
Light/Kira
Isabella
Tomura Shigaraki
Meruem
Sensui

Want to put a One Piece villain on the list badly, but I like a lot of One Piece villains and can’t think of a favorite. Same with villains from other Jump series. Just gonna leave the 10th spot empty

Side note.
I actually liked Kaguya. Thought her design and concept was cool. Her introduction into the story was just sloppy

"Every One Piece Villain"

...May I ask why people hold OP villains in such high regard? While there are some decent ones, it's overall pretty mid-tier with lots of generic bad guys who're defined purely by gimmicks. Naruto, Hunter x Hunter, My Hero Academia and Jujutsu Kaisen among others all have much better villains in them.

Not every villain needs to be conceptual deep.

I recently seen a lot of people have the opinion that what makes a good villain is “a villain who believes that his actions are good”, or “a villain that the audience can sympathize and relate too”.

Which I completely disagree with. Those points do make for a good villain. But it also depends on the tone and the atmosphere of the series. In something like say The Promised Neverland, Isabella being a sympathetic villain totally fits with the series.

With One Piece however, a villain like Arlong only needs to be a menacing villain with an emotional tie with one of Of heroes. He doesn’t need to have a compelling backstory, or deep character motivations.
Most One Piece villains are just very memorable with their “gimmicks”, actions, emotional connections with the heroes, and how they interact with the Strawhats.

And with all of that being said, there actually are some villains with compelling motivations and stories mixed into the villain rousted. Like Doflamingo for example.

OP villains serve their role in the story really well and are intimidating and powerful. As individual characters they’re not much of anything, except Doflamingo

Yeah, that's the exact thing. OP villains are good threats, but beyond Doffy and Katakuri, Oda often does very little to build them as actual people. Which is what I really look for, I guess.

It's not all about being villain that it has to be bad guy in fact they are more flexible and very versatile rather than they do typical villain stuff. That's why they got more praise even more than the Strawhats and they are more fun to talk about.

Take example is Buggy the clown, he was like your typical villain that he needs to be defeated and forgotten in typical shonen way but when he had interesting lore and in-depth all this time he got quickly praise for it and the fanbase are starting to create memes about him because he was so fun.

Muzan and some WSJ villains are impossible to utilize this type of villain because they were supposed to be written like that and that's it forgettable unlike Buggy he was over 20+ years old villain and still he was so fun to talk about him till this day. (That's why he was on Stampede movie because the fanbase do love him)

Heck! I can remember all of them from the beginning because they are so iconic even the lackluster villains like Wapol and Foxy but for the minor villains from WSJ beside One piece, can you remember them all? What is their iconic things or parts that you would remember them for a long while? Nothing but for Buggy his big rounded shape shiny red nose is all you need to him remembered.

If you failed to understand my point, you are just narrow minded and you wanted perfect written villain at your own taste nothing more, nothing else.
