Is Bleach even at 100M copies in print yet? Slam Dunk is at 170M...not happening.

Bleach reaching 100M copies in print will be a nice feat if it hasn't reached it yet.
It's over 100 million.

By how much? Never knew it was 100M+ but yeah growing 70M+ over a final arc adaptation isn't likely
It's over 120 million, IIRC.

lol.. movie.. Bleach movie always underperformed compared to naruto, OP, DB (gintama and MHA too, damn)... no one surpass 1 billion yen.. and Live action only got 500 million... for context gintama L.A got 5 billion...wow,
and now they will had movie from Bleach universe?? lets see if kubo name can gather hype...
sorry for being bummer...
i think kubo will only redrawn the BTW movie to jump like they do with boruto.. i think 2-3 volume is enough for movie..
If I recall correctly, Bleach movies sold better than Naruto movies on DVD/BR until Naruto: Road to Ninja (or the one after that).
Not sure how well they did box office wise since I don't think any numbers were available back then. Last Bleach movie was 2010.

Bleach anime generally did remarkably well and sold a lot on DVD units, more than Naruto.

BURN THE WITCH website confirms 120 million copies in print worldwide for BLEACH, Slam Dunk is at 170 million worldwide
累計1億2000万部突破『BLEACH』
This was also confirmed by the live action 2 years ago. The number hasn't changed since then.

It was editor pushing and fan response that might have got BtW serialized since it got great reception and feedback all over Japan when the one shot got released. I’m pretty sure it was the most popular one shot to come out of that Jump 50th anniversary one shot releases.
Imagine Bleach surpassing Slam Dunk and Kochikame lifetime sales if demand increases with the release of the new anime which may introduce a new generation to the series.
I LOVE Bleach but Bleach's sales would barely increase over Burn the Witch. It'll probably have some increase when the final arc is animated. But yeah, it wouldn't even come close to SD's numbers. It'll at most do another 2-3million, realistically.

Who seriously voted for SxF, AA & CSM:facepalm ? Their anime is guaranteed at this point, especially the former. Was it japanese that voted for this only or people outside of Japan as well?

Happy for Komi
Yup. I feel the same. Btw, probably was voted by japanese and western. There's a guy on twitter who was making noise to vote on Act-Aeg when that's going to come anyway.

Btw, on the live it was said that Nakano is Editor chief of Shueisha. The translator was wrong on it or was he promoted? Because he's Editor Chief on WSJ.

And is Nakano the editor that Kubo mentioned? COnsidering Nakano was editor on Bleach at the beginning.

i mean naruto shippuden the movie (1) already surpass 1 billion, 1.2 billion.. while the best bleach movie got was 800 million.. you can google easily on MOVIE BOX OFFICE.. no one care about dvd/bd.. thats why naruto had 9 straight movie in 9 years and then take hiatus and comeback with another 3 movie.. while Bleach movie stuck in 4.. because sales matter... look at MHA, they plan to get 10 movie after MHA movie sales like cake///

I'm not entirely sure what point you're trying to make.

Are you just trying to trash on Bleach's sales or... ?

It just seemed like, from your initial comment, you were questioning why this was happening.

As if Bleach/Kubo didn't deserve this, based on previous sales numbers.

I mean, Bleach had 4 movies in 5 years. You can try to downplay that as much as you want but aside from OP, Naruto and very few others, barely any series gets that many movies over those many years.

And we are talking numbers after all. So while Naruto movies did better box office wise, Bleach movies did better than most initial Naruto movies in BD/DVD sales. Home media is also a big thing in Japan. Bleach's anime seasons also sold marginally better than Naruto. Obviously this isn't the case with the last 3-4 Naruto movies.
But doesn't take away the fact that Bleach anime as a whole did pretty great in sales and as a franchise.

Also, again, I've said this before - They can "plan" 10 movies for MHA or even 15. But if the third movie grosses less than the 2nd, watch them hesitate. And if there is a 4th movie and that grosses less than the 3rd, watch them silently not release any more.
Hero Academia isn't a property that is still on the rise like Kimetsu. It's manga sales are going down with every volume and the other properties in it's franchise will usually follow. There are many movie franchises out there that stopped sequel plans after the previous movie underperformed. MHA won't be the first or last to have its plans changed if the franchise demand goes down.
Also, this is assuming by then the manga will still be running by then. Within 2 -3years from now, MHA can end.

4 movies in 7 years... yeah..
give me BD/DVD number.. its irrelevant if it sales less than 1 million or even 10 million.. how many different is BD/DVD number can made??? take a look at box office Movie_800 million and 1.2 billion (naruto shippuden movie 1).. thats like 400 million... again movie BD/DVD not anime...
because i know bleach anime did well..
Bleach is giant franchise.. none deny that.. i just want compare movie number to another Giant franchise//

I dont know why you hate MHA so much...
MHA will fine...MHA sales great in USA alone... beat OP nonetheless.. in movie
for manga.. MHA may already peak.. but i doubt JUMP will rush it....2/3 years?? lol... i bet another 5 years is no reach, deku got 7 quirk to develop, they all still in 1st year, for gods sake.. ///
JOKES on YOU, honestly i hate MHA too..more than BC...

this is why i never talk about establish series// and always want to talk newbie series///

This is kind of random, but today's episode of MHA should be really good. A few sakubutas have hyped it up, Hayashi Yuuki (the series's music composer) said we'll regret if we miss it, meaning he probably composed a full song for this one and the series's official anime account has been making a countdown for days now. I'm really curious to how it'll turn out since it's the festival performance and it's a moment that's been expected since the beginning of season 4.

I'm not sure, but we are supposed to get the latest info on the Demon Slayer anime within the next 48 hours:
I understand Matsuoka not joining KNY's livestream since he'll be on SAO's, but it's weird Hanae won't be joining them.

He was only stating facts, doesn't mean he hates the series lol. Even I as a big MHA fan agree with every thing he said, it's how this industry goes, I mean look at NNT and how the production committee gave up on the anime after the first movie tanked.

Which of the sakubutas hyped the MHA episode up, cause I'm really fucking excited for the performance today and the stills look good.
Liborek and J-Mulli. I'm kind of expecting Umakoshi to show up, this episode screams Umakoshi.

Bleach had 4 movies in 5 years:
Memories of Nobody (2006)
The Diamond Dust Rebellion (2007)
Fade to Black (2008)
Jigoku-hen (2010)

Also its just plain logic that if a series declines with each itiration of films, they would stop producing them because it just wouldnt be economical for the producers. MHA hasnt show nothing of this but given the nature of how the majority of movies sagas works, the income of the next sequels drop more and more unless that your movie is a big event that atracts new and old fans to watch it again or you are called Detective Conan.

Bleach anime end in 2012.. so thats 2006 to 2012.. why not bother made more if it made profit... i will not answer again about this topic..
i am not deny that can happen... but before that happen i can see they milk it... again, i am more than happy to be proven wrong..i am not a fan MHA at all..
naruto, OP, DBZ also had several movie every year... MHA can be the next thing.. or not, time will tell...
