For the opening post, i would like to ask about hypothetical scenario: what if luffy knows about what is going on to sabo right now? Let's say he was captured on the beginning of wano, would luffy rush to the marine HQ and abandon the fire festival or would he just stay at wano to beat kaido?

I would say this thread is meant for exclusive discussion on him. Can also be used to talk about his personality or past chapter related to him or future prediction

1) Maybe next arc? Repeat of save Ace, but this time SH's in the WB pirates positions, with the Grand Fleet joining in, plus Dragon and the Revolutionary army?

4) Gear 5 - tennis ball shaped rubber ball lol. Fully CoA covered, condensed form, bounces off everything and wrecks his opponent. Would be hilarious.

For awakening, I do not think Luffy will be able turn objets into rubber as his powers do not work like that (his DF is not a logia or a paramecia which can produce matter like Katakuri/Doflamingo) and it would be a weak awakening. However, I think he will be able to grant rubber properties onto the objets like elasticity or bouncing effects (same properties his body has) and it will give Luffy a massive power up to cancel high level attacks, destabilize his opponent’s movements or uses the environment to hurt.

For example, imagine a strong attack flies to Luffy who uses awakening on some object in between him and the opponent, then the attack is absorbed by elasticity and bounced back elsewhere or even to his opponent’s face. Or imagine the opponent moving towards Luffy who uses awakening on the environment and the opponent ends up bouncing in different directions as the rubber-like air/ground impact his movements and Luffy makes him bounces wherever he wants so that he can finally punch him. And what if Luffy uses gears on objects, like manipulating a G4 massive building to attack? I imagine him like Jinbe with water but with his rubber-like environment.

I have high level expectations for Gomu Gomu no mi awakening and I hope Oda will deliver a massive power up for Luffy’s fighting abilities. There are plenty possibilities with rubber properties applied outside his body, all the more so as he has 4 gears.

After a timeskip I bet he ends up with Hancock... Or he gets her pregnant and we get a panel of her pregnant while he goes off on more adventures. Dad's in OP kinda suck so he'd be a hands off dad.

I mean, he saw her nude and barely has any reaction. He is asexual, will be weird if in EoS he gets married

It's typical shounen. Very often MC's don't have feelings for the opposite sex or the person they don't end up with

It is just weird for luffy to be married. He is like goku. But goku is just too dumb to know what marriage even means, luffy know what it is though. Boa needs to have some big bait to get luffy

I think a time skip is going to bypass the explaination. I do agree, but just something the shounen genre does.

Remember, Luffy is gunna change from "adventure is my wife to your wife is now my wife" lol

The one on the right doesn't look asexual to me lol

Imo Luffy's awakening gives him full control over his body shape and rubber density just like Mr.Fantastic this coupled with his new advanced haki will make him a top tier contender.

I imagine luffy being able to make his body harder, softer, shape shifting etc this opens up a whole new world of possibilities and creativity for his abilities.

I still want it to happen. Hancock would be so happy surrounded by love and mini luffies.
This is quite unlikely though as I think that Luffy will die EOS just like Roger maybe from pushing his body too far all this time. (Hormones, poisons, gear 2nd, gear4th etc)

Dang, you nailed it with this one. We even got a couple of examples as early as East Blue saga: 1 from the heroes' side (Yasopp) and 1 from the villains' side (Morgan).

1) The Strawhats will accompany him this time rather than leave him to his devices. They were devastated when they found out what happened to Ace and they weren't there to help him.

2) Don't know. We've got more context on awakening fruits rather than the full extent of CoC haki, so it's likely awakening is next.

3) Personally, I think Luffy's awakening is going to be a little different. As Lord Rayleigh pointed out, Luffy doesn't produce his element, he just is the element. So him transferring the properties to his environment is probably the only possibility, unless there are other aspects of Paramecia Awakenings that we aren't aware of. Think Hisoka's Bungee Gum, just with Luffy's flair.

4) Gear 5 might be something he creates using his new form of Haki or something he creates with Awakening. Gear 4 could also just be the last form and he'll have several variations.

With Boa, the most I imagine is a Toriko type ending with them. Luffy doesn't really demonstrate any real interest towards her, but he'll basically accept her nonchalantly.

Since seeing the Fishman Island Arc, Shirahoshi does not bear a grudge towards Hody Jones after he murdered her mother. I've been wondering for a while whether Luffy will/ has been doing the same regarding Sakazuki (whether deciding to after knowing Shirahoshi's past) after he murdered Ace.
