Naruto got LCP in its final issue too though since it had two chapters in the same issue you can make an argument that Naruto's last page wasn't a LCP haha., You are mistaking it with
LCP+Cover which Slam Dunk is the only WSJ manga that has gotten it. But I was only asking for CP for KnY, not LCP. Kimetsu will not be getting a LCP because its last chapter is gonna get released during an issue with a new manga, and it would be unfair for the new manga not to open with LCP.
BTW this is the final issue for DB which also had LCP in its final issue.. But it's crazy how they didn't even promote WSJ's best seller was ending in that issue (Naruto's last issue had an advertisement for Naruto ending and it had Naruto's face on it).
And this is Ring Ni Kakero's last issue even though it's not stated in this website (It also had LCP) it has one of the coolest WSJ covers imo, a Kibasen (Cavalry battle) between the gag manga of the time: Kochikame, Dr.Slump, Kinnikuman and Sannen Kimengumi.
BUT I do think maybe if COVID hadn't changed the schedules maybe KnY would have ended with LCP in this issue (remember we basically lost a week of WSJ, so it would have ended one issue prior, in this issue which is the double issue) so COVID obviously changed schedules of CPs, but it's super weird because MangaPlus's mistake has One Piece as LCP during this week.. So maybe they had inside info that OP was gonna get the LCP for the double issue, but that would have meant that KnY wouldn't have had LCP, but a normal CP...
I'm just tired of theorizing lol, I guess what would have happened is that One Piece would have gotten LCP and then KnY would have gotten normal CP.. But we will never know.
If we are talking sales alone Kimetsu is as deserving of LCP as any of the manga that have gotten it, selling better than Naruto and Ring Ni Kakero and basically on the same level of DB and Slam Dunk... Also.. I have this theory that Yu Yu Hakusho would have gotten a LCP when it ended but Togashi just said nope haha or something
