I don't think Dowon could take Yama or Evankhell either, but the Baam part might well be true. He's a nightmare matchup for a Wave Controller. He can nullify incoming shinsoo attacks with shinwonryu and is resistant enough to it to no-sell whatever little might slip past that. He certainly has the firepower to hurt her and is probably more proficient in close quarters by now.

The people who give Baam major issues in fights are the ones who can physically beat the hell out of him (like Kallavan).

Khel Hellam dying and being replaced by Jinsung would be cool. I expect he'll show up with the FUG cavalry. Someone mentioned that we knew that the FUG elders and Sophia were on their way - I know we've had confirmation that they're interested, and from a storytelling perspective it's obvious they'll show up, but was it confirmed somewhere I didn't see that they are en route?

As far as casualties on each side go...

I agree that Khel Hellam is a likely sacrifice on FUG's side. As someone else stated, his main ability has been thwarted multiple times by Zahard and this whole arc has been tightly related to his origin story. He's also one of the strongest characters we've seen thus far (him fighting Yama and Evankhell simultaneously becomes more hype as we see what beasts both of them are on their own) and I'm expecting that if he fights anyone it will be Lyborick.

Cha is definitely doomed to die in the course of this story, but I expect it will be farther down the line. He hasn't even really been fleshed out yet as a character. I expect that if the 8th Son shows up, Cha and Dowon will get a rematch versus him.

I don't expect any of the Baylord brothers to die, but honestly, if any of them did I would expect it to be Doom. They seem like they're part of the squad now though.

Evankhell's death flags seem to have passed. I also expect Evankhell to die at some point in the story, as it's been pretty heavily foreshadowed that their destiny is to go down fighting, but I'm not sure if it will be here... I could envision some sort of situation where Zahard hits the Delete button on the nest and sends in Adori or something and Evankhell burns out bright to hold off Zahard's army while FUG escapes with Jinsung. It would play nicely into the idea of Baam saving his teacher at the cost of another, but IDK how much SIU cares about that sort of thing.

On Zahard's side...

Yasratcha is doomed. Yama is going to destroy him savagely this time around. I'm sure it will be a struggle, but he's just not making it out of this battle alive.

Kallavan's role in the story also feels like it's ending. He's too much of a zealot to betray Zahard. I expect he'll either try to kill Lyborick once he escapes his current predicament and be slain to hype Lyborick as absurdly powerful, or else he'll get his revenge and end up killing Lyborick later on and possibly die in the process.

That said, Lyborick is also definitely going to die at some point, but it isn't clear to me if it will be now. SIU might have plans for him to develop into a recurring villain. I wouldn't be surprised if he ends up dying though, I think the Nest will be a victory for FUG and if Lyborick was hand-picked by Adori he seems like the type to go down with his ship. The whole flashback with Hund Lych Khun also debunks my previous hypothesis that he could be a deep plant for the Poe Bidau family - he seems absolutely loyal to Zahard.

Maschenny is definitely not going to die. I hope we get to see her fight though.

After the Nest battle, it feels like the LPB family's standing will be severely debilitated. They've lost two of their strongest family members so far, and it's safe to say several more are going to die as the battle continues. The Nest is almost certainly going to be conquered or destroyed by FUG. I also noticed the LPB family head is most likely the lowest ranking of all the 10 Great Families, and it wouldn't surprise me if he ends up being one of the first Family Heads to actually show up in battle against FUG later on in the story.
Swap out Evank going nuke for Adori for Evank going nuke for LPBFH and I agree entirely

You guys should calm down :lmao. Introducing powerhouses like that would not be good. There is no way anyone on this battlefield can handle Adori or anyone stronger. Baam and co have some plot armor but still, I don't see how it can be handled well. Especially when it's the beginning of the battle.
LPB FH does an attack on Baam, Lord Luslec blocks it, introduction to them I guess?
--- Double Post Merged, ---

It absolutely would be an L. The manpower losses are acceptable (as long as they're just grunts and not high level Rankers, who are far less replaceable) for propaganda, so long as the royal army still wins the battle. If they're defeated and driven from the field or annihilated, then that can only be a humiliating result for the empire.

Zahard and his command staff certainly were not amused with what happened to Kallavan's squad at the Last Station.
Spin some story, Fug devils cowardly attacked the Royal army from behind as they were protecting the nest

Dowon was redirecting the explosion from a dying ship. And she doesn't fear death.

I think many here are underestimating the new 4th squad. As much as they are not part of the top 300, Kallavan's commanders were strong and most managed to survive the EVK, can you imagine even stronger rankers? Given what happened on the coexistence wall, we know that Doom, Paul, YHS and Karaka are likely to face Yasratcha's division commanders, we don't even know if Yama will be able to fight alone with Yas, let alone the situation of White vs Kallavan. Without Khel Hellam and Sowo, those to face the new 4th squad come down to Cha, Dowon and EVK. Sophia needs to appear and actively fight, yes, there is still someone with "the power of a branch chief", Lyborick and Maschenny.

We know that Taro and the rest of the Hidden Groove stuck out of the centipede before the explosion, meaning they are still on the wall, I wouldn't be surprised if Hwa Ryun warned EVK or the regulars who haven't shown up yet (Kaiser and Quant) to go there and intercept the ship.

I don't particularly see any reason for Cha to die here, SIU has developed the members of the Hidden Groove in parallel with this whole Ninho arc, they don't seem to me to be characters of bows, but characters relevant to the history of Baam. Lyborick may come out alive, but with the fact that he is directly involved in the fall of Cha and Dowon's friends, we can have a fight to the death here. BTW, SIU does not follow the logic well, their choices are always doubtful, like killing Inieta and leaving Sachi and Boro alive and active in history.

I honestly don't know why you guys are obsessed with Rak becoming a jinchuuriki. We do not even know how the issue of ancient parasites and DDs of the people of Nativo one works. And killing EVK and Khell Hellam just to up Rak would be VERY bad writing.

She is talking about Zahard,

That makes no sense if Kallavan joins BAAM it will be to follow him forever that's just the type of guy he seems to be also remember should he ever do so he can't exactly just waltz back into the Zahard army. So it will be for something bigger than just revenge, BAAM would have to appeal to him with a show of great strength and some mighty heroic feats to convince him he could be capable to stop the wars.
Baam is the new human collector; he's collected 3 slayers, a former floor ruler, his "primary school frightful head teacher "(Hangsung), Dowon, Cha and Bright Sharon (my lovely assumption). Kallavan is definitely gonna get collected and forgiven.

For about 2.4 seconds. FUG is hardcore fucked if she decided to roll up on the battle.
If adori comes it will most likely be like the Zahard entrance in hidden floor.
Presence of such powers on zahards side would mega tip the battle on Zahard side.
Would be good to watch though. Curious to see adori.

You guys need to remeber that even Kheil Hellam was powerful enough to fight capped by an Admin. I don't think Adori would have freedom to display all her Power easily. If they are capped to same Power, I could see Kheil using his abilities to keep Adori busy while all escape. Although he certainly could be taken care of by the likes of Lyboric and there's no need for Adori intervening here.

According to Kuhn that plays right into Zahard propaganda and tower support. An according to Kallavan Zahard will not see it as an L.
Don't think it will work this time. Bam is the poster boy in this battle. If he navigates the Fug to defeat of Yaschra by Yama and Bros and destruction of squad 4+5 and freeing jinsung the bigger news would be a c rank regular not just beat a ranker, he gathered a huge army and defeated zahards elites to free his master from a prison complex designed to hold the mvps.
Add to that if the 8 th son of LPB dies than the loss won't just be squadrons but it will mark a massive defeat on one of the 10 families.
The hidden garden boasts that they killed one of the sons. This time it just won't be 1 son but a plethora of high rankers chosen by Zahard as his army as well.

The response from the tower is going to work against Zahard. If they win. People mostly sit things out till winners are decided. And in Bam manage to win against 2 squadron and a son of FH the shock wave would be enormous.

Khell IS without a doubt a very powerful high ranker but I have no idea why people are saying that this guy has a chance against Adori. Adori is ranked 7th in the tower, this beast is a fucking monster. Someone like khell would get destroyed in less than 3 seconds wtf. It would be more wise for Khell to hide when he sees her than try to stall time lol.

Even if Adori isn’t allowed to use her power. Her blood will allow her to smash Khell without using shinsoo. Not to mention, Adori only needs to take out her weapon and everyone is dead.

I’d guess Baam kills the giant snake in a way that stylistically resembles Enryu killing the guardian.

He's already a Jinchuriki, it's just a matter of making him ten tails if we're using this analogy

I think Baam might solo fight a division commander just to solidify his power. He's not yet on a level to 1v1 Kallavan, but one tier below that. White can relax for a while and eat the souls up from the coming fight, but he needs to get his stamina back and go sit in his little red stone circle

Agree with you on Kaiser, it's about time we see her get involved. Cha and Dowon and maybe the revived HG dealing with the new 4th could also work.

I think this is true. I think them winning at the nest will give Blossom the green light she need to know Baam is her champion, and she'll make a deal that if he can free Enne, she will back him in the war. etc

Agreed that Adori or LPB FH showing would be a LOT very soon. Though I hope to see it... dunno if we'll get that lucky. Yes, we have seen other FH's but not in a combat scenario. Adori is roughly equivalent to a FH as well.

On the other hand Zahard SHOULD send someone to try and salvage the battle if they lose the equivalent of 3 corps, more than that corps commanders in power, all their ace prisoners, and the combined vault of LPB and Zahard all in one fight - terrible egg on their faces. And the tower is watching now that Baam beat a ranker in public. So Zahard/Adori/LPBFH is likely to send a cleanup crew that cannot be denied. There is also the possibility of another strong princess showing - such as Hag - doesn't have to be Adori, yet.

If Adoru or LPBFH (can we just call him 'Bill'?) show up, it would require the likes of Luslec, Gustang, or Urek to counter them. Wild card is Baam using thorn 2 to warp everyone away in the last second like on data floor. I don't see anything other than death for all without one of those heavy hitters arriving. As much as I like EVK and Khel (well, enough...) they don't stand a chance for a FH level individual to show up no matter how they might be handicapped.

- Gustang is a possibility as he has the same interests, but I get the feeling he's gonna let this play out and is probably busy elsewhere (plus doesn't want to dirty his hands personally). I'd like not to think he'd let Baam, as an irregular upstart that is an asset/ally against Zahard die though. I do think he's working with FUG/Headon at some level, so saving Baam would be in his best interest if he's also fighting Z forces in the tower.
- Urek is a possibility but this isn't a WT affair and that would send a clear signal of where he stands against Zahard's empire (as if they could do anything about it...). It gets old having Urek bail out Baam but he's the 'eagles' from LOTR and it will likely happen again. He clearly favors Baam and I think at this point will act to keep him from dying. Who knows if WT is monitoring this fight but I suspect they are. Urek specifically told Yuje to tail Baam and they also have a network watching FUG and Gong Bang even (something along the lines of this was mentioned when Urek pulled out the syringe on FoD and mentioned a WT raiding party). Anywho, I can't see him coming to Baam's aid (again) yet.
- Luslec, I'd love to see. He'd only mobilize if a FH showed up (and vice-versa) and if Adoru/'Bill' showed that would give him a reason. But then would another FH show as well? That would be FUG's ace and IDK if SIU wants to reveal all FUG has at its power zenith yet as we still don't have all the slayers and elders shown.
- Baam saves/warps everyone away (or Mado's ship or some other equivalent) when facing Adoru/LPBFH is always a possibility and even probability. It happened to Baam himself on auto on data floor and now he is showing the ability to warp massive amounts of people at once. Though he better develop his range and shorten his charge-up time because I don't see a figure at FH level giving Baam the time to do that. Though it did punk Zahard himself....

We should also consider the snek and floor ruler (if it's different from the 8th son though some have just gone ahead and assumed it's one and the same) which could each have corps commander+ levels of power.

Nah, he's a simp. She'd step on his fruit and he'd thank her for it.
No way. Cha is the closest thing to a Chad (second only to Urek) this story has. When has he bent a knee to Dowon? Bro went on a massive, test-fueled killing spree in her name, yes, but that's alpha-male shit.

I honestly don't know why you guys are obsessed with Rak becoming a jinchuuriki. We do not even know how the issue of ancient parasites and DDs of the people of Nativo one works. And killing EVK and Khell Hellam just to up Rak would be VERY bad writing.
I think that's what the story has been hinting at. The mere fact the giant was shown to be split up kind of implies it is possible or even likely to be pieced back together again. Rak and his race have some connection to that as DDs. We see the elemental powers shown in the giant flashback are all coming together in the story. And even EVK's fire-monster has mentioned the ability to host-hop.

I'm not sure how much of it is being 'obsessed' with the idea as we just see the writing on the wall. Disagree it is bad writing too. The core 3 (Baamrakkoon as even SIU calls them) are going the distance, and the regular sidekicks will keep getting buffs. Rak's buffs are obviously related to the ancient powers, conveniently coalescing around him, and he'll need that level of power to stay relevant eventually. Also, EVK and Khel are showing they have limited use and we know there will be losses on FUG's side.

It might not be THIS battle but at some point I expect Rak to be buffed and hosts to be changed. That could be one and the same. Otherwise why show all that has been shown, and mention the host-hopping at all, plus Rak's familiarity to EVK's flames. It's all foreshadowing IMO.

Though you are right we don't know the mechanics completely we are starting to see the big picture.

I’d guess Baam kills the giant snake in a way that stylistically resembles Enryu killing the guardian.
Possible. In keeping with the above and at risk of the regular-haters going apoplectic, I'd like to see Rak somehow unsealed in this battle. So far he has been relegated to hopping around the Cage - AA and even Ship/Hatz have been shown to be useful and he's done NOTHING. He didn't even get to shine at the Cage fight before. All that talk about his rock powers and him recognizing the EVK flames, possibly getting the ancient spear and nothing to show of it. He HAS to get some development if even the lowest-tier regulars are getting accolades in these fights, albeit small-scale in power.

I'd hope releasing the spear has an effect of releasing more of his cursed seal. Alternatively Khell and/or EVK could pass on their beasts to him, but I think first he needs to go all out with his native rock powers (imagine releasing on the scale of the fire elephant or forest bull) before hosting another elemental power. Rak fully realized and armed with an ancient spear would certainly be pretty badass, and possibly strong enough to take on what Rak LOVES to take on - big game (giant cobra?). Remember his enemy on data floor.

This is assuming that Cha doesn't take on the snek himself as that was sort of hinted at. But he will probably have his hands full with the 8th son of LPB. Optional is Cha and Dowon fighting alongside each other against the 8th and bigsnek since they are a package deal on both sides.

There is nothing to indicate that, honestly. The only thing we know is that Rak is a DD of the natives, which in turn are part of Native One. We don't even know what the ancient parasites are, if they are in fact the parts of Native One, if they are some fallout or something else. Simply saying that putting everything together makes the native one pure speculation without any basis, we don't even know if the power of an elemental other than "earth" can affect Rak.

Not mutually exclusive due to the weird flow of time within the frozen waterfall: (1) Baam goes inside, battle rages on outside; (2) Baam experiences months/years of stuff inside (and picks up another thorn fragment?), but almost no time passes outside; (3) Baam emerges and kills the snake (saving Cha)...

I mean that’s not the way you’d expect time to flow inside the frozen waterfall but there’s always huge amounts of handwaving involved once time flows weirdly.

So what are you saying - they take turns fighting snek in different time-periods?

I don't disagree with the idea that Native One might someday return, and I don't care if it's Rak either, but I hate that pretext of simply killing the characters to praise another one. If EVK one day dies on the battlefield, satisfactorily and the way she wants, ok with that. If Khell Hellam decides to sacrifice himself in order to try to redeem himself for his stupidity, ok with that. But simply "let's kill everyone who has old power for Rak to be OP" is bad writing in my eyes.

I’m saying that the sequence maybe won’t be “cleanly defeat Zahard army, then enter the frozen waterfall”.

More like “Baam gets into the frozen waterfall mid-battle. The battle continues on without him, Cha is fighting the snake—and losing. Baam pops back out and roflstomps the snek.”

With Baam maybe being gone only an hour or day or whatever on the outside, but having spent weeks/months/years on the inside (already implied to be what happened with hidden floor, so we have precedent).

I don't see how the 3 squadron will be credible in this war . I mean we have Evankhell , Cha , Dowon if she stay coherent .
+ Baam . It will only finish bad for that squadron .

About commander , they are not relevant , Doom and paul would kill them easily .

Vice corps commander could be a little interesting too .

I wonder if a doom powered by Khun flame fish could perform full T .

Now that i wonder Yasratcha is just a better combination of Domm + Yama .

Agree for the sake of just killing them off, but I don't think SIU will just shit on their characters and IMO their deaths will be meaningful or sacrificial/redemptive. I don't think buffing Rak (or any other for that matter... but we know Rak is going nowhere any time soon) is mutually exclusive with NOT trashing other characters to do so (glorious deaths). I think if anything both will happen simultaneously.

Kind of like how many/most thought EVK was going to die before, and we had that talk about her ancient moving to another host. IF/when EVK/Khel falls in battle (very likely for one or both IMO) I think the ancient will go to good use being recycled into a character like or including Rak. That is the best praise either could get post life.

And now that Baam can straight up do what Khel, hamstrung with self-doubt, can do his only usefulness is his internal ancient - which apparently can go anywhere/to anyone.

I'm as big a 'fan' of EVK as anyone else here so I don't want her to die but she has already played her usefulness out in training Baam to completion (presumptively) and showing she's not invulnerable at this scale of battle. She's still insanely powerful but since we expect losses for FUG and the 'passing the baton' trope is in play (specifically with the internal talk between EVK and her ancient power about it going to another host) it's probably a matter of time for her to get killed off - not arbitrarily at all if done right. At which point the fire demon will need a new host, if not sooner. (I still also like the idea of YHS).

Unless Baam uses his thorn the time passing on the outside is an entire year to power up the access port from what I remember. Though the thorn is a workaround entirely for him to use it as a hyperbolic time chamber.

I do fully expect something about the time distortions/dilations and the pointedly specific year time-frame to access the interior. Baam might kick someone in it to keep them out of his hair, use it to train, get caught trapped in it, etc... could play out in any number of ways.

Interesting you think the vault will be accessed before defeating the Z army. I suppose it's possible but I think they'd block it as long as possible. Jinsung is there after all. Who knows.

I'd guess this frozen waterfall is where Enne is held. On that guess, there's almost-certainly a backdoor entrance—the "one way in, only once a year" entrance seems incompatible with Garam having snuck in (and back out again). Then you throw in Baam's 2nd thorn, etc., and I put Baam's odds of going in the front door basically zilch.

I would actually like to see a surprise Garam return to guide him around the interior, but that might be a stretch.

What I'd personally like to see would be something like this.

FUG's initial "plan" is to defeat Zahard's forces quickly-enough to prevent them from putting Jinsung into the frozen waterfall. Once this actually starts looking like it could happen, Zahard's forces deliver the double whammy: (1) they move to dump Jinsung in sooner than expected (e.g. via some asspull "rapid recharge"), and (2) unexpected reinforcements show up (maybe the new 4th division, maybe "big snek", who knows). This sudden shift in fate is what prompts Baam to head into the frozen waterfall mid-battle.

Something along those lines, at least.
