Hmm, wait for the pic.

Gege's commentary about the production of the anime
Seems like Akutami is not aware of MAPPA titles having good production in like the first 3 episodes and going downhill afterwards. MAPPA does anime only endings at times, iirc Kakegurui got it so I am hoping JJK doesn't get that treatment.

Aren't all spin-offs unnecessary to the main series by definition (usually. I'm looking at you, Horikoshi and Tabata)? They're supposed to be extras.
I mean, I’m sure MHA’s and Black Clover’s spin off was Shuiesha’s doing, not Horikoshi and Tabata themselves

I don't mean the spin-offs, I mean them including stuff from the sipn-offs in the actual series.

I'm sure he would be aware of any such things before he and WSJ decides on the studio.

Guys, you need to be more cognizant of your posts staying on-topic.

Talking about MAPPA shows isn't on-topic. Even if you mention other MAPPA stuff because of JJK's anime, your post primarily needs to be about WSJ.

KnY won the Annual Piccoma Award in the Luna category I think? (Last year Neverland won)
The most popular manga in Japan won an award?

JK. Congrats to KNY

I've slowly been catching up on manga. Just caught up on MHA. Next will get into CSM, JK, Act Age, SxF and then finally OP (in that order probably or Buranchi will disown me for not checking out CSM immediately).

I personally do think the stuff that has happened in the last 30-50 chapters in MHA is the strongest it's been since AFO fight. Also, binging MHA is definitely more enjoyable than weekly.

Do I think MHA has potential (IMO) to hit a million in sales when the anime catches up to the current chapters? Yes.
Do I think it will happen? No - Mostly because it's sales haven't stabilized with S4. I don't see it stabilizing with S5 as well but who knows.

Have we even had an anime from WSJ that has reached Season 5? Not counting the year long running shows like OP/Naruto etc. Older anime were mostly all long running shows. So my guess is no.

Food Wars just reached s5 this season, though it got delayed after 2 eps. Though I suppose s4 and s5 are really a single split-cour rather than being completely separate like MHA s5 is.

Shokugeki & JJBA come to mind immediately for WSJ titles reaching 5 seasons. Stone Ocean, when?

Add Jigokuraku to your list, unless you're caught up with that. I'm also slowly getting caught up with a bunch of manga titles as well.

Also Jojo's a big one and Gintama has technically has 6 fully separate seasons (meaning they had a break in between), though I think they re-aired old episodes between some of the seasons.

Yeah, I think Soma's normal season was just split into two. But it technically does count as a new season, officially.

Jojo was 4 seasons, no? I might be wrong.

Yesss, Jigokuraku is something I wanted to check out as well. Jeez, that's a lot to catch up on.
MHA is what I finished first.

Jojo has 5 series so far, remember they took a break in the middle of part 3.

I'm seeing rumors (prob fake) of Stone Ocean adaptation floating around already lol. That said, I think this year we'll see it.

It's hard to imagine them not doing Stone Ocean, the other series all did well and while I don't think it's the favourite part in Japan, Jojo's also massively popular overseas now which we know is enough to get more anime produced.

I guess that would make Jojo technically one of the few WSJ manga with complete anime adaptations too, since part 7 (and 8) is considered a separate manga in Japan that was connected to JJBA later on (and only had a short run in WSJ anyway).

speaking of complete series, I suppose Gintama's going to join the ranks too next year once the final movie eventually comes out. I don't think it's actually confirmed to be adapting the rest of the series yet, but there's only 17 chapters left so it would make sense (though some chapters are longer so it's really more like 20 or so chapters).
