These posts are not insightful, and do not meaningfully contribute to this thread. Also, this decision is not up for discussion, so posts discussing this decision will also be deleted.~ Halloween

This week's top 5:
1. Mitama Security - This really feels like endgame developments, but I hope I'm mistaken. Glad that Rena finally started being honest and outspoken.
2. Mashle - This was a great and really eerie chapter. The door gag and twig legs worked fantastically this time around.
3. Undead Unluck - Interested to see where this battle ends up, and it was nice seeing short little intros for the rest of the union.
4. Moriking - Best girl came back really quickly. That casual mention about humanity had me in stiches.
5. Act-Age - Happy to see Yonagi hanging out with friends and that we'll get to learn more about our mysterious director next week.

The best of the rest:
6. Mission: Yozakura Family - Another good chapter the helped develop the main plot. This may be entering endgame territory, but I can't tell for sure.
7. We Never Learn - Incredibly lackluster ending to this arc for Rizu. Nothing changed for her from start to finish of it. Uruka arc was a million times better than this, but at least Sawako and even Misao got some good moments out of this.
8. Yuragi-sou no Yuuna-san - Things are getting too convoluted for my tastes.
9. Time Paradox Ghost Writer - Looks like I'll have to wait until next chapter to see the girl's confrontation. Hopefully things will pick up from here.
10. Chainsawman - Glad the battle seems to finally be concluding.
11. Bone Collection - This series is neither funny nor is the action good at all. To make matters worse, the art is pretty awful.
12. Agravity Boys - This might've been my least favorite chapter so far. Even with HDB, I didn't laugh even once.

Yugen was really interesting and well made (honestly better than HMY), it almost feels like a pre serialization wich makes sense with Tsukuda comment, really wish they go with this.

Poll will come later...

JjK: Chutulhu strunk!!!

OP: Luffy and Zoro proving for the 147th time you don't need brains to be the strongest! (and thank Oda for that or else their goals would be unreachable) XD

TPN: Really? For real? R? E? A? L? Oh well it is probably some "future child" bs but still for the promise to be "that" is just insulting to the readers who all had their own theories about the promise and its cost.

TPG: 2nd chapter is where it comes down for me - can a series connect to ch.1 yet also show growth either in character/relationship and ofc some hints for future later established goals. This one could and very well so as well. Easily first place this week for me. I really liked that ch.2 put forth the questions a reader would get after ch.1 - is his series a plagiat? Can he stop this series on his own? Will he continue and if so why? Will he keep getting future WK chapters from 2030 or not? Will he meet the real creator and how? Gotta admit the last question was a bit nilly-willy answered but whatever. Yes, Teppei considers his WK a plagiat from the real creator and he regrets it deeply for which he gained massive character points in my book. Same with how he was nearly ready to destroy the only time-machine on earth (that we know of) to stop it from happening and to continue his own path no matter how hard it gonna be. Ofc if he'd really do that we could finish the story right there so that didn't happen but his reasoning for continuing makes sense - this has grown out of hand, he can no longer control it and he himself want to tell the world what an amazing mangaka this Itsuki Aino is even though nobody would know that person and even in ten years nobody might hear of "him" due his work already being published by someone else. I really love the Sci-fi explanation because it was so very "Sci-fi fan-like" like someone who read sci-fi for a hobby thinks up to make sense of the impossible. <3
What I really enjoyed though was Teppei regretting that he is still an "empty human being", he hasn't found his own story he wants to tell the world and I think depending on the length of this series it might end with Teppei doing his very own thought out story even if it doesn't become a mass seller like WK will become. The ending with him meeting Itsuki Aino like that was surprising I thought she was a shut-in but the real question is where it will continue from here: Will he tell her everything? Will she believe him? Will she blame him for taking away her (alternate) future of becoming a famous mangaka herself? Will he keep her hidden from Jump or will he introduce her as the writer which would diminish his status as he would be "only" the drawer? Hope ch.3 can answer most of those questions next time.^^
A real problem I do see however is Aino's future role in this series - if her future original timeline self keeps supplying Teppei with the chapters to draw then she doesn't need to be a writer for him. So I still think that WK will somehow end up as a failure and ends like in 20 chapters or so leaving the two the only way to fully tell the WK story in a world which appreciates it for its good points whereas in ten years there might just not be the right audience for it.

Mashle: Lol, those 3 houses are so exact like in HP, not even a surprise. Still a scary school if you are allowed to do that to your fellow comrades without any punishment whatsoever.

Haikyu!: Starting to lose oversight over who is who and what flashback is what for...

Yugen the Oneshot: I liked it, Yugen being a spirit-pervert who doesn't care for the body looks but how the spirit inside looks is a fun way of having him flirt with basically anyone he deems "pretty" by his own standards. The ErinaxHisako teacher was also a good addition to keep some grounded character as boundary to Yugen's flashiness. Very horror but not actually so scary at least in this one-shot. I could see this getting serialized - a school full of super-cute/pretty/sexy high school girls and an over-top-teacher with a weird taste and a pretty Erin Hisako teacher as straightwoman could be what a lot of perverts, I mean, men of culture would want to read weekly.

BoneC: See this is info exposition outta nowhere just dumped on the readers to move the story forward. It just ain't good.

BnHA: This chapter might be hype if I didn't expected this reveal to be like this but I expected it exactly like this and thus it is just unsurprising and a bit lackluster even.

Dr. Stone: What do you mean that's a GUY? Dr. Taiju??? XDDD

M:YK: So many kgs on Taiyo's legs hahahaha, so funny ahahahasiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiigh~ Well, the story sure is moving quickly along now, it's something. As long as we stay away from all the other creepos introduced so far.

Moriking: Bit weak, action clearly ain't the main focus here. Oka a cute though, she and Shoko gonna be best friends for sure, also what the hell did you mean other insect kings will destroy humanity, Moriking?????

BC: Don't read this, nada.

CSM: Yeah, even Santa stood no chance against this mental attack. HalloHalloHalloWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEN~

WNL: Rizu's arc was a lot of two other character arcs being resolved but I liked this arc a bit more than the Uruka one though I am probably biased. :P

Undead Unluck: Lol, they even cut Victor's speech bubble in half. XD So this wasn't the first time they fought Victor, he even commented on Gina's absence/death. Liked the showcase of everyone's "power" though I am not quite sure if it really was all there is to their "Un"-powers. Billy is my fav Union member atm though, even outdoing badass Shen Joker, firing his guns with his back facing Viktor, running around the battlefield calling Tatiana for help and when everyone goes ?!?!?!?!? at Fuuko's idea how to get Andy back he is like "What? What happened? Hello, blind man here, someone mind explaining why the battle noise stopped?". xD
Well next week gonna be interesting, even Nr.1 was surprised by that move of Fuuko, lol, showing once more - boobs can save the world. Or can they?^^

AA: So we have a new ship now? And a movie date straight away?`XD

Mitama: Feels weird reading a Mitama Chapter without a certain someone in it...

AB: I had no idea how little I wanted a Geralt the Quiz show... even Baba with his extensive knowledge about Geralt's underwear couldn't save it.

GotW: Uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuugh~ I do gotta say though I like Claude and Spica more than Fafner and Manasfa, their background story is more interesting, their struggles feel more real and their interaction with each other is more nuanced than it is with the main couple. Imagine a first chapter with Claude the rule junkie - Guardian of Spica and Spica the kind witch who feeds the poor with stolen food and Claude stopping her being the boo man before he gives the poor children the chance to get food at his own house. You could show how and why Claude is such a rule-following fella, how he is responsible for Spica being a witch and how when ordered to kill her his will to protect her, keep her alive battles with his loyalty and strictly following the rules character. Obviously in that setting we didn't need a stubborn Fafner who just refuses to lose "because" he says so, Claude would make that decision for himself in ch.1 and ofc would chose keeping Spica alive over following the rules and then from there the story would continue~
But oh well, it is what it is.

Mashle- This series is just so clever and spectacular. I like the they set up surprisingly amazing set up and world building. This is one of the only manga to make me laugh and tense at the same time. At this point this has a massive amount of potential to not only shonen jump’s next huge comedy manga but manga in general.
My hero academia- I know I keep saying this but I am so glad I gave this manga a chance after watching season 1 and half of season 2. Holy crap has this manga gotten me on the Edge of my seat. This has the potential to be one of the best arcs in jump history (I would even say shonen in general). It looks like the author isn’t pulling any punches and I can definitely see a lot of unexpected moments, deaths, and twist during this arc. Once this becomes an anime it will break the internet for sure.
Time paradox ghost writer- Man i have never thought there would be so much of a tense atmosphere with such a light hearted plot. This chapter is absolutely amazing; the incredible pacing, outstanding art, cool plot with a ton of potential, and a likable main character.
TPN- Man was this manga a ride. Through all the highs and lows I still would consider this one of my favorite manga. Honestly I feel as though the main problem wasn’t the genre shift or the pacing, more so the way the manga went about the world building and characters. After the goody pond arc I feel the focus was way to much on Emma so the world building and characters would feel extremely one dimensional. It also would cause some lazy writing on the world building part which made it seem very rushed. I won’t make a full on review until the end of the series so I can go in depth on where TPN rose and fell but all in all this was a decent chapter.
Dr stone- Finally something somewhat interesting happened. I just want either a new arc or an interesting science invention right now.
Mori king- pretty good chapter. Again not really a lot to this manga but it is a very funny and relaxing read that’s cool after reading my hero academia and chainsaw man.
Chainsawman- Talking about chainsaw man this chapter was absolutely fantastic. This can open the door to an absolutely incredible arc in the manga. This really makes me want to know more about makima and what her true intentions are. This series really went from a gory alternative action comedy to a suspense dark fantasy action manga real quick. I honestly can’t chose between this and MHA.
Act age- The hype is absolutely insane in this manga. I really can’t wait until we go into the practice/ play portion because those are always my favorite part of the manga.
Undead unluck- This manga seriously just can’t stop with the hype chapters. The amazing fights, incredible world building, and unique battle system can make this one of my all time favorites.
Mitama security- I am going to be extremely mad if they axe this before mission yozakura family and gotw.

I kinda hate that M+ doesn't translate the promotional texts. Like it would be nice to have the text that announces the anime for Jujutsu. MediaDo's translation of Render has those texts, why not Viz/M+?

So, TPN ending next issue? Or in two issues. Can't see it lasting much longer than that tbh.

Next chapter will fill vol 20. So it should be the ending but who knows if it can go with another chapter.

Yeah, the final volume can have a bit of overlength. Definitely think Volume 20 will be the final TPN volume. Nice round number to end on.

Whoa, My Hero Academia was great this week !

Nice second chapter for TPG, looking forward to it !
Moriking was funny this week, I'm really starting to like it !
Bone Collection started to set up is world a bit more, so chapter was fine.
This week one shot was great, even if some dialogues seemed too much, it was a nice read.
Yozakura is finally getting into a more serious arc, so I'm into it !
Undead was great, I love the universe of that serie and the art is great !
Mitama was setting its new arc I guess, we'll see where it gets.
Agravity Boys was nice as usual, but felt quite generic.

And finally Mashle ! This is so dumb, but the great kind of dumb ! I love the serie so far.

Chainsaw Man takes the cake for me this week. Mashle and Act Age were also very fine and I’m interested how things will go with both of them.

Time Paradox also had a solid second chapter, really hope the author knows how to handle the story and where it wants to go. FMC has a nice design.

Yozakura is really in a weird place right now, like I could totally see it being just a new arc, or it could also be setting up the endgame already, tho Taiyou and Mutsumi’s interactions are always fun and wholesome to see

Moriking had decent chapter, and really don’t care for Bone Collection to even check it lol

Yugen was a very enjoyable and entertaining one shot, nothing outstanding or special, but definitely not boring. Tosh’s art really suits perfectly for a horror themed series, and well if Tsukuda wants to go bonkers then this series actually allows for that. It really seems like a first chapter rather than a one shot lol, but if Tsukuda claims he’s preparing a new series I wouldn’t mind if it’s this one but only if he really has Everything properly planned and doesn’t jump the shark as much as he did in Soma (in before his next series is another thing entirely)

TPN continues to make me ungodly levels of angry. The fact that this is the same series that put out the Gracefield arc is honestly unbelievable.
Maybe the Gracefield arc was actually written by someone else in the future and a time machine brought the story to Kaiu Shirai who had the continue the story but couldn't create something the same quality.

Sounds interesting, somebody should make a manga out of this theory.
