JjK: Chutulhu strunk!!!
OP: Luffy and Zoro proving for the 147th time you don't need brains to be the strongest! (and thank Oda for that or else their goals would be unreachable) XD
TPN: Really? For real? R? E? A? L? Oh well it is probably some "future child" bs but still for the promise to be "that" is just insulting to the readers who all had their own theories about the promise and its cost.
TPG: 2nd chapter is where it comes down for me - can a series connect to ch.1 yet also show growth either in character/relationship and ofc some hints for future later established goals. This one could and very well so as well. Easily first place this week for me. I really liked that ch.2 put forth the questions a reader would get after ch.1 - is his series a plagiat? Can he stop this series on his own? Will he continue and if so why? Will he keep getting future WK chapters from 2030 or not? Will he meet the real creator and how? Gotta admit the last question was a bit nilly-willy answered but whatever. Yes, Teppei considers his WK a plagiat from the real creator and he regrets it deeply for which he gained massive character points in my book. Same with how he was nearly ready to destroy the only time-machine on earth (that we know of) to stop it from happening and to continue his own path no matter how hard it gonna be. Ofc if he'd really do that we could finish the story right there so that didn't happen but his reasoning for continuing makes sense - this has grown out of hand, he can no longer control it and he himself want to tell the world what an amazing mangaka this Itsuki Aino is even though nobody would know that person and even in ten years nobody might hear of "him" due his work already being published by someone else. I really love the Sci-fi explanation because it was so very "Sci-fi fan-like" like someone who read sci-fi for a hobby thinks up to make sense of the impossible. <3
What I really enjoyed though was Teppei regretting that he is still an "empty human being", he hasn't found his own story he wants to tell the world and I think depending on the length of this series it might end with Teppei doing his very own thought out story even if it doesn't become a mass seller like WK will become. The ending with him meeting Itsuki Aino like that was surprising I thought she was a shut-in but the real question is where it will continue from here: Will he tell her everything? Will she believe him? Will she blame him for taking away her (alternate) future of becoming a famous mangaka herself? Will he keep her hidden from Jump or will he introduce her as the writer which would diminish his status as he would be "only" the drawer? Hope ch.3 can answer most of those questions next time.^^
A real problem I do see however is Aino's future role in this series - if her future original timeline self keeps supplying Teppei with the chapters to draw then she doesn't need to be a writer for him. So I still think that WK will somehow end up as a failure and ends like in 20 chapters or so leaving the two the only way to fully tell the WK story in a world which appreciates it for its good points whereas in ten years there might just not be the right audience for it.
Mashle: Lol, those 3 houses are so exact like in HP, not even a surprise. Still a scary school if you are allowed to do that to your fellow comrades without any punishment whatsoever.
Haikyu!: Starting to lose oversight over who is who and what flashback is what for...
Yugen the Oneshot: I liked it, Yugen being a spirit-pervert who doesn't care for the body looks but how the spirit inside looks is a fun way of having him flirt with basically anyone he deems "pretty" by his own standards. The ErinaxHisako teacher was also a good addition to keep some grounded character as boundary to Yugen's flashiness. Very horror but not actually so scary at least in this one-shot. I could see this getting serialized - a school full of super-cute/pretty/sexy high school girls and an over-top-teacher with a weird taste and a pretty Erin Hisako teacher as straightwoman could be what a lot of perverts, I mean, men of culture would want to read weekly.
BoneC: See this is info exposition outta nowhere just dumped on the readers to move the story forward. It just ain't good.
BnHA: This chapter might be hype if I didn't expected this reveal to be like this but I expected it exactly like this and thus it is just unsurprising and a bit lackluster even.
Dr. Stone: What do you mean that's a GUY? Dr. Taiju??? XDDD
M:YK: So many kgs on Taiyo's legs hahahaha, so funny ahahahasiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiigh~ Well, the story sure is moving quickly along now, it's something. As long as we stay away from all the other creepos introduced so far.
Moriking: Bit weak, action clearly ain't the main focus here. Oka a cute though, she and Shoko gonna be best friends for sure, also what the hell did you mean other insect kings will destroy humanity, Moriking?????
BC: Don't read this, nada.
CSM: Yeah, even Santa stood no chance against this mental attack. HalloHalloHalloWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEN~
WNL: Rizu's arc was a lot of two other character arcs being resolved but I liked this arc a bit more than the Uruka one though I am probably biased. :P
Undead Unluck: Lol, they even cut Victor's speech bubble in half. XD So this wasn't the first time they fought Victor, he even commented on Gina's absence/death. Liked the showcase of everyone's "power" though I am not quite sure if it really was all there is to their "Un"-powers. Billy is my fav Union member atm though, even outdoing badass Shen Joker, firing his guns with his back facing Viktor, running around the battlefield calling Tatiana for help and when everyone goes ?!?!?!?!? at Fuuko's idea how to get Andy back he is like "What? What happened? Hello, blind man here, someone mind explaining why the battle noise stopped?". xD
Well next week gonna be interesting, even Nr.1 was surprised by that move of Fuuko, lol, showing once more - boobs can save the world. Or can they?^^
AA: So we have a new ship now? And a movie date straight away?`XD
Mitama: Feels weird reading a Mitama Chapter without a certain someone in it...
AB: I had no idea how little I wanted a Geralt the Quiz show... even Baba with his extensive knowledge about Geralt's underwear couldn't save it.
GotW: Uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuugh~ I do gotta say though I like Claude and Spica more than Fafner and Manasfa, their background story is more interesting, their struggles feel more real and their interaction with each other is more nuanced than it is with the main couple. Imagine a first chapter with Claude the rule junkie - Guardian of Spica and Spica the kind witch who feeds the poor with stolen food and Claude stopping her being the boo man before he gives the poor children the chance to get food at his own house. You could show how and why Claude is such a rule-following fella, how he is responsible for Spica being a witch and how when ordered to kill her his will to protect her, keep her alive battles with his loyalty and strictly following the rules character. Obviously in that setting we didn't need a stubborn Fafner who just refuses to lose "because" he says so, Claude would make that decision for himself in ch.1 and ofc would chose keeping Spica alive over following the rules and then from there the story would continue~
But oh well, it is what it is.
