Henceforth, I will be deleting posts that complain about Weekly Shonen Jump having too many/not enough gag/battle/exorcism/sports/etc series.

These posts are not insightful, and do not meaningfully contribute to this thread. Also, this decision is not up for discussion, so posts discussing this decision will also be deleted.~ Halloween

Ayakashi triangle seems to be similar to Bone collection, yokai story with romance and ecchi.
So there is a huge possibility that Bone collection will be canceled if Ayakashi triangle is successful.
I don't even think that Ayakashi Triangle needs to be a success for Bone Collection to be cancelled. If you think about what's likeling going to get cancelled next, when the next serialization round will most likely be and who the candidates for cancellation are by then, then Bones Collection is very far up there. Even though we don't know yet how well it will place.

I think probably nearly everyone here has the unanimous opinion that Guardian of the Witch is guaranteed to get cancelled. The other series to get cancelled is most likely either Agravity Boys or Mitama Security due to poor sales. I personally think Agravity Boys is more likely to get cancelled due to Mitama at least having high ToC placements. So there might still be many readers that enjoy it, but just don't buy the volumes, because it's just a gag manga.

Then, we can pretty much assume that the next serialization round will be sometime in August or September, because Burn the Witch is supposed to start in summer. So with GotW and either AB or Mitama gone, the next candidates for cancellation would probably be AB/Mitama (whoever survives) and the manga from the current newest batch. TPGW got a really good reception at least in the west and I would be very surprised if it didn't get a really good reception in Japan as well. So with that in mind, I think the most likely candidates for cancellation in August or September will be Moriking and Bone Collection, unless one or both of them do very well.

In Moriking's case at least, I can see the possibility that it could be very popular with elementary school kids in Japan. So I think it's hard to tell how well it will do in Japan. It could do extremely well, but also extremely bad. However Bones Collection so far imo really doesn't do anything that makes it stand out from the other manga we have in Jump or that Jump had in the past. So I'm inclined to say that it has a very high chance of being among the manga to get cancelled in August or September. Though this also depends on whether there will be 2 or 3 new series then. If it's only two, either Moriking or Bones Collection will probably survive, depending on who does better. If it's three new series, I could see both of them getting cancelled.

I'm curious how long Muhyo s2 will be, I imagine just 12 again. It'd be nice if we kept getting new Muhyo anime every couple years and it ended up being one of the rare complete Jump adaptations.

S1 apparently went up to ch 36 so, if s2 is the same length, it'd need 2 more seasons that length afterwards to finish it unless they skip a bunch. Or one more double length season I guess.

So just went to check my Jump Bookstore and found out I had Jump GIGA Summer 2019 Volume 3. So here's God of Destruction Magu-chan One-Shot. For those wondering, yeah, it's pretty much comedy. Not gag I'd say, even if it can go that way in the serialization. Overall feels like an interesting concept but the execution doesn't satisfy me that much. Hoping it has been polished enough for when it starts in Jump.

Might be another Undead case with the serialization having been tweaked for serialization and being better off for it. However, am I the only one getting Shadow Star Narutaru vibes? Oh dear.

This seems like it could quickly go into another child horror series during the serialization if the author wills it. Imagine if the author intends for something akin to TPN except with the psychological horror cranked up to eleven.

Do you got the oneshot for ayakashi triangle. Also my hype for GOD Magu Chan has grown, it seems it will go more so with the battle route with some comedy in it than a straight up comedy manga.

Feel free to correct me on this, but I'm fairly sure Ayakashi doesn't have oneshot or anything, like a good amount of series. Yabuki just finished the Darling in the Franxx adaptation in + (which I guess is part of the reason we weren't expecting him to come back so soon), and from what I can recall, his most recent oneshot was just a TLR one.

Just read the oneshot for Magu-chan, I thought it was ridiculous (but in a funny way), the way they just blew away the rain and left a hole in the clouds, I just couldn't stop myself from letting out a small giggle.

The talk about Demon Slayer and Neverland’s Final arcs has me thinking. We often talk about how series having bad endings.

Wanted to ask. What are series in Shonen Jump that you all have great final arcs. Ideally I’m interested in Battle/Adventure Shonen, but ultimately genre doesn’t matter.
What are some series that you would say stuck it’s landing?

- Demon Slayer
- Assassination Classroom
- Shaman King's ending was pretty different to expected, but certainly interesting
- Rurouni Kenshin's ending was good, though didn't quite match up to the Kyoto arc
- Death Note was good but again it was very hard for it to match up to how good L arc was (talking about the manga, the anime skipped too much and made it crap)
- I think I remember liking Black Cat's ending? But it's been so long since I read it that I forgot what happened
- Kuroko Basketball (was a pain to follow weekly, but great to marathon)
- Hinomaru Zumou's ending was good too

Sket Dance might be my all time favorite Jump ending. Even knowing it was coming couldn't prepare me for those last few chapters.

Those are some nice looking placements for Undead and Mashle, not what I wanted to see for Yozakura though. Hopefully it looks a bit better on Shoseki.

Well, I guess it’ll be safe to say that if both Undead Unluck and Mashle do well sales wise, that Yozakura and Mitama are gonna be on the chopping block sooner or later. They both had a great run though if they do end up getting axed.

I truly believe that Gondaira’s third attempt will be it.
