Henceforth, I will be deleting posts that complain about Weekly Shonen Jump having too many/not enough gag/battle/exorcism/sports/etc series.

Hmm...

Do you think there's a chance for volume extra chapters for Yuuna Volume 24? I mean...Miura has drawn up those before with Koisome Momiji. That's what a few from the Yuuna fandom are hoping, to at least provide more closure.

And assuming this quote is correct : " volume 22 went till chapter 196", that means there are only 13 chapters left to fill 2 volumes. So there has to be extra chapters (whether extra epilogues like Food Wars or random chapters) to fill the final volume

Starting to think that Jump is sending 10 copies of Yozakura to Amazon because the manga has been basically out of stock even before day 4, also it has zero reviews while even Zipman vol.2 already have 3.

It's the same thing with every new Yozakura volume on Amazon

I thought Agravity was at 12k?

Maybe they will see the sales of Mitama this month to see if they will keep it or cancel it depending on its growth.
Maybe Jump wants Agravity at the bottom because its a gag, and it still did get some promotion on twitter due to its official account.

There is a lot of factors for both of them, and idk which one will survive.
There is an alternative route Agravity could go for: Jump+ transfer. After all, its oneshot launched there, so it wouldn't be so surprising.

Though it wouldn't be the first time Jump axed a 10k+ Vol 1 selling manga (that is not from a hit veteran like Hungry Marie or S8) in recent times (last time it happened were Amalgam of Distortion, Cross Account and Shuudan in 2016 and 2017).

Jump+ isn't a dump for failed WSJ manga, it's a separate publication with its own hits. It doesn't need Agravity Boys.

I think there's only ever been two series that transferred to Jump+, other than for an epilogue? One of them was by choice (Tomatoypoo), though I don't know why iShoujo switched over.

iShoujo was canceled on Shonen Jump, had a special chapter on Jump Live and a full sequel on Jump Plus because the manga was popular online. Soul Catcher(S) also moved from Shonen Jump to JumpNEXT and to Jump Plus due to popularity and good sales.

I think your choice of words were quite poor, WSJ isn't the ultimate place in the manga industry where if you can't succeed there means you're trash with not place, series can grow in another platform, Agravity Boys sold 12k in a month, this is more than a really good part of Jump Plus, so why they wouldn't need it? in fact i think it's the perfect platform for the series, it could grow there without having to worry every week about rankings.

Also, Jump Plus is like Magazine Pocket or Sunday Web, these platforms have they own series but they also are used sometimes to transfer series from the main magazines when they aren't really working there, isn't any demerit as you're trying to make it like.

I think it's more trying with different readers. Maybe they see potential in the series with readers that wouldn't normally buy a volume of Jump but would check out the chapters on Jump+. Moving a series to Jump+ isn't really degrading the platform in anyway.

If that was the case, it would always be in last place of the ToC, yet it isn't. Those kind of gag manga were always at the end of the magazine. And by end of the magazine, I mean that they were consistently the last manga in the magazine. The last of those gag manga were David-kun and Jimoto ga Japan, which were trading places from week to week. Ever since they both ended, there hasn't been a gag manga that has consistently been at the end of the magazine. Agravity Boys isn't consistently at the bottom of the ToC. It is still switching places with other series, mainly with GotW.

I think Honto only goes up to 100. They'll still be on the Shoseki list no doubt.

It'll be interesting to see if Mashle or Undead sells more overall, Undead started higher but Mashle could do better than it if it drops more slowly.

...it's hurting even more now...
Ehh, Honto is always like this, i'm actually surprised both Undead and Mashle were able to hold it for a 3rd day since any new series survives just 1 or 2 days on Honto top 100

I'm curious what the initial print numbers are for all these different series. I wish we were able to see them, they could be pretty interesting since it'd show shueisha's rough expectations.

For some reason I really like that 49-59-69 chain. It's nice. Awesome for Mashle btw.

69 for Yozakura :derp

In all seriousness, these are decent holds for all of them minus Mitama. I think this is a 4 day week for them, hopefully they can manage to be top 100 all 4 of them.

Also, Undead volume 1 is still on the list, but lower, Yozakura 2 fell off again though.

Yozakura:

Vol.1: #40 > #60
Vol.2: #47 > #63
Vol.3: #41 > #69

Undead:

Vol.1: #29 > #65
Vol.2: #25 > #59

Mitama:

Vol.1: #52 > #96
Vol.2: #60 > #144

The drop with Mitama is real, it dropped 94 positions from one day to another lol
