Moderator Notice:
Henceforth, I will be deleting posts that complain about Weekly Shonen Jump having too many/not enough gag/battle/exorcism/sports/etc series.

These posts are not insightful, and do not meaningfully contribute to this thread. Also, this decision is not up for discussion, so posts discussing this decision will also be deleted.~ Halloween

The 2020 Alliance is starting to beat the 2018 Alliance. Wondering if any of the 4 new series will also join the 2020 Alliance in the top of the MH polls.

Comparing volume daily rankings is kinda pointless, but volume 2 has good rankings and volume 1 has been charting on shoseki every day since volume 2 came out so that's pretty good for it. Some shops seem to be sold out as well.

As for KnY, same as always.

Yozakura:

Vol.1: #40 > #60
Vol.2: #47 > #63
Vol.3: #41 > #69

Undead:

Vol.1: #29 > #65
Vol.2: #25 > #59

Mitama:

Vol.1: #52 > #96
Vol.2: #60 > #144
Vol.3: #72 > #166

The drop with Mitama is real, it dropped 94 positions from one day to another lol
Not sure whenever Youakura is stable or not, lol.
Seems UU is rising a bit with its volumes which is good.
Mashle got great start, still don't think they make over 20k first week though it would be great if they did.
Mitama is so sad to watch...

Jump+ isn't a dump for failed WSJ manga, it's a separate publication with its own hits. It doesn't need Agravity Boys.

I think there's only ever been two series that transferred to Jump+, other than for an epilogue? One of them was by choice (Tomatoypoo), though I don't know why iShoujo switched over.
The way you worded this makes no sense. Nobody said that they need Agravity Boys, but that they could do a platform change to see if it helps the manga.

Like said in some posts, Volume 1 sold more than majority of ongoing J+ series right now, which is already a good incentive to make it work in a system where the surveys don't exist. And again, the oneshot for Agravity Boys is there like I said in my post too!

But seeing the support for your post, it's obvious what people here think, so I won't go more.

Mashle is doing a massive feat over here! Did not expect that, even with great TOC places.

Updating...

Yozakura:

Vol.1: #40 > #60 > #69
Vol.2: #47 > #63 > #145
Vol.3: #41 > #69 > #67

Undead:

Vol.1: #29 > #65 > #194
Vol.2: #25 > #59 > #70

Mitama:

Vol.1: #52 > #96 > #167
Vol.2: #60 > #144 > #209
Vol.3: #72 > #166 > #301

Yozakura recovered well from that little fall in the 2nd day, but Mitama is falling hard with this volume, dropped 135 positions...

Btw, at this point i think Mashle will be the first new series since Chainsaw Man to enter in the top 50.

Seriously what’s up with shonen jump and crappy endings.
For food wars, the 2 authors were just trolling with their own series. Couldve made such a wonderful ending.. nahh just let ruin it for an new last arc

Well, it was kind of predictable that Yozakura's third volume would sell better than the second, since he has Kuroyuki's mini arc.

Yozakura Family is a manga of romance, comedy and action, it is easy to transform it into a battle shonen but the author is not interested in doing that now.

I think that's basically it and aside from a general tone (that's not even always accurate) differentiating between Shonen/seinen or Shojo/josei is pointless. Is Kaguya really more mature than anything WSJ has run? Is World End Harem really better for kids than Kubo-san wa Mob wo Yurusanai? Or Chainsaw Man and almost any action series in Young Jump?
I still wanna know the reason why kaguya is in the seinen section, I know it's just a demograph but cmon.. it's mkre meant for an "childish" audience
--- Double Post Merged, , Original Post Date: ---

Yup, it is just this simple.
Now, let's all laugh at people using "seinen" as a prestigious term to describe stuff like HxH or CSM.
Bruh didnt u know hxh is a deconstruction from a genre demograph that is based on shonen but an well reconstructive of the deconstruction of seinen that takes element of shonen that is well on pair of the seinen demopgraph :teach:3c
--- Double Post Merged, ---

I swear I will never understand why people care so much about a label referring to the target demographic of a magazine. It makes literally no difference whether OPM is shonen or seinen or whether AoT is shonen or seinen. Hell, WSJ is supposed to be "catered to young boys" yet more than half the magazine's readership is over 18.
Well it's important sometimes if you go for an too childish area or super gruesome area

Regarding Araki's birthday, Reddit reminded of this little story Matsui wrote about him meeting Araki:
Lacking humanity...lol

Aka already jokingly stated his target demographic was office ladies, not kids.

You know, I often find the full results of these polls to be actually pretty funny.

Fujimoto actually commented on the results, some of them are quite amusing

Now Summer Time Rendering is giving of ending flags too (though it might still take a while).

I do hope M+ will be giving us some new series soon. It's been half a year since they published something in English.
