Recently I’ve been re-reading Yozakura and it has actually been very enjoyable, especially once i stopped forcing it in my head to be the next Hitman Reborn (but lowkey fingers still crossed lol).

The argument for the lack of the family member use is fair but it’s spread out nicely and when they are used it’s enjoyable. The over arching story being sprinkle about flows well when reading in bulk and you grow to accept the world and characters are all crazy except for Taiyo.

Glad the sales are doing well and hope it continues to grow because i think it would translate really well into a anime.

I will never let this dream die. How many chapters did Tsuna take to stop bursting out of his clothes?! We still have time!

I think yozakura just needs a recommendation from an author or any other Japanese celebrity to increase sales a little.

I don't think there's any way to compare Yozakura to Reborn. More than 30 chapters have passed and he did not go as deep into the battle shonen as Reborn did.

Mashle with 18 chapters is already giving more depth to the battles than Yozakura.

But it took Reborn 61 chapters to get out of the daily life arc, Yozakura is still 24 chapters behind and it already had a lot more dramatic moments, at least that's how I remember.

Either way its transition is inevitable in my opinion. The author didn't introduced this large cast of characters for nothing (i sure hope so) and besides that he needs to change what he is doing in order to survive when newer serializations keep surpassing it.

However, the author of Yozakura does not seem concerned about doing this anytime soon, even though it is a natural path as you pointed out.
Mashle and UxU won their seats, I wouldn't be surprised if these two are the only hits of 2020. I don't see Moriking or bone collection being a problem for Yozakura, and TPGW, if the Japanese childishness is hurting him, then neither will he be one problem.
The only one that could offer a concern would be the Ayakashi triangle, but I can already coexist with him and Yozakura.

I don't believe there are people here who want kyoani to do the Act Age anime! It irritates me a lot when I read this opinion, do you hate the story and characters of Act Age a lot? If Kyoani does the Act Age anime, they’ll change the history of the series a lot, they’ll cut chapters, they’ll have fillers episodes, they’ll change the development of the characters, they’ll probably cut characters, they’ll create characters that don’t exist in the manga, it won’t be a good adaptation, maybe a cute and fun series but it won’t have the same story of the manga.

I think that depends on the agreements they made with the mangaka and the publisher.

It is the new fashion, after the tournament arc. Now the fights inside trains or railway stations are the metro. Even Act age has its train arc.

People can work in both fields, not particularly uncommon in America, especially to see animation folks do a live action project once or twice.

Either way I could see this working I guess, Neverland is a property that feels more easy to adapt into a American show than most Jump series.

Live Action Series would work really well for TPN. So, i'm cautiously optimistic.

TPN should be A LOT easier to adapt than One Piece. TPN's adaptation could be their answer to Netflix's Stranger Things, if done well.

Yozakura started in issue 39 of 2019 though. So if it ends up surviving, it would count as a surviving manga from 2019, not 2020. Also, currently I'd say Yozakura is still fairly safe for now, because Agravity Boys and Mitama seem to be on the chopping block first and one of them will survive until the next serialization round. After that, we have to see how well Moriking, Bone Collection and TPGW do. I think it's very likely that at least one of them, probably even two of them, will do worse than Yozakura.

As for Ayakashi Triangle and the other new series, I would just wait how they turn out before judging anything. There have been a lot of cases where veteran authors ended up not succeeding. So it's probably best not to expect too much, even if Yabuki had two successes in Jump so far. We don't know how good the new batch will be until we read all of them.
