I'm surprised they didn't mention that Gege's also congratulating Miura for Yuragi in there.
I see that Gege is also a man of culture as well....Gege does draw some pretty hot guys I'll give him that.

Which reminds me, who's expecting a yaoi boom for Jujutsu after the anime airs?

This is a bit off topic, but what's your guys' favourite manga in Jump that got cancelled?

My favourite one is definitely Teenage Renaissance David-kun. I still think it was one of the best comedy manga in Jump in recent years. I'm guessing it didn't gain any popularity in Japan because Japanese readers didn't get most of the western references, which is pretty sad because the comedy was gold.

probably Gakkyuu Hotei (School Judgement). It was a fun kids mystery series with good build up throughout and got nicely wrapped up at the end.

Honestly I think I would've liked it less if it had survived, getting cancelled meant the story kept moving at a nice pace since the author seemed to realise it wouldn't last halfway throw and kept the important stuff coming. If it lived, it probably would've been like Conan where you get tons of episodic pretty meaningless mysteries between all the plot stuff.

Kurogane and especially Samon the Summoner.

It's a crime that both were unceremoniously cancelled after sticking around for a few years.

I need to go through the entire list, but the one that came to mind for me is Alice and Taiyo. This was part of the reason as to why I was super surprised that Act-Age is succeeding. I liked what I read of that series, flaws and all.

For me kurogane, stealth symphony, the last suyuki, takama-ga-hara and iron knight. Really liked the premise and world of these series but exclusion wasn’t there (except kurogane, felt robbed with that one).

Definitely need to check those out at some point. I've heard from a lot of the cancelled manga from 2010 to 2016. But I didn't really start reading Jump manga from chapter 1 regularly until TPN started. The only exception to that was BC which I've been reading from chapter 1 as well. So I've heard a lot about especially Gakkyuu Hotei and Samon-kun wa Summoner, but never got into reading them. I've heard Kurogane mentioned here and there, but don't know what it was about.

Illegal Rare, Ultra Battle Satellite, Shuudan, Golem Hearts, Tokyo Shinobi Squad, MAGICO, Mononofu, and Noah's Notes all stand out for me as series I got attached to before cancellation.

It was completey different than Nura.
I think it failed because people judged a book by its cover and were confused by the contents. Having this aesthetic of a edgy dark vampire manga yet the series itself being so whimsical, fun, and genuinely funny. Whilst still being able to strike that edgy vibe as well when it needed to wihout feeling tonally inconsistent.
It felt so polished in every aspect and im still shocked it failed even though Jump did try really hard to push it with a lot of color pages, even still towards the end.

Yoakemono, Mitsukubi Condor and Gokutei Higuma, the first 2 in particular made me wanna follow Shibata and Ishiyama and looking forward to what they came up with next (to bad both Amalgam and Zipman failed so L there)

Higuma was nice, especially since it was probably the first one I followed from the start, going in completely blind and ended up liking it

Ishiyama and Shibata both strike me as exactly the type of mangaka criticized in TPGW. Simply drawing things they've read before in a slightly different packaging. No real identity/soul or ambition to speak of.
There's a reason their series failed. Good art alone usually won't save a bland mediocre series in Jump.

I hope TPN gets an anime original end. Anything would be better than what we got.
In the end, we truly were the promised neverland.

It's kinda funny because Tsunehiro Date had the same issue with Cross Account that it was a very bland and mediocre romcom. Now he found a good writer to pair up with and while he isn't creating the story for TPGW, his art is still on point as always.

I haven't read any of Ishiyama's manga, so I can't comment on him. But Shibata could definitely benefit from pairing up with a story writer, because his art is really good. Though I think many mangaka might be hesitant to make this move because they rather want to be the ones to create both the art and the story than only making the art for someone elses story.

Remember when Luffy never had Haki and struggled to fight Logias? Good times.
I don't know what that is yet. But I do remember when Red Hair Shanks struggled to fight off a shark.

Which seems... really weird, in hindsight.

Watch Yozakura manage to somehow outlive Bone Collection.
It wouldn't surprise me. Yozakura found itself a comfortable spot in the lower mid-tier, and as long as there are worse series around, it's gonna stay right there.

Of course we don't know yet how Bone Collection will do, but if opinions here are any indication, its future doesn't look too promising.

TPGW there will be extra pages next week.
Let's hope this means we'll be seeing some progress.

they aren't doing any spin-offs (including Vigilantes which Viz already translates anyway) so there might be something there
Vigilantes in on M+, but only in Spanish for some reason.

Don't know if this counts as a spoiler but I'll tag it as it, but regarding ecchi in the series: there's not a single ecchi panel that can relate to To Love Ru or any other ecchi series, at least in this first chapter. There are merely 2 panels with some NSFW content but because of the plot that's being explained and barely accidental exaggerated ecchi.
Good. Please let this be more like Black Cat, I liked that series (it was one of my first manga).

I haven't been following the magazine for too long yet, but I'm still sad about Higuma. Really would've liked to read the rest of that story.

I liked Neolation and Tokyo Shinobi Squad, too.
