And given that he doesn t care about rachel we can assume that whatever connection they shared stoped after floor 2.
I don t think it is that strange that rachel agreed to some deal in order to get ghost's help to pass the second floor.

I think Akryung might be an artificial being that's been made of Guardian flesh(The one Enryu killed or someone else). Could also be a Human-Guardian hybrid.

Honestly, I think SIU green lighted all the Akryung scenes to the anime studio and threw more questions and tidbits for us manhwa readers. With the anime production occurring during the beginning of Season 3, I get the feeling this might be SIU throwing more mystique around Akryung for us to speculate.

Maybe akryun is a manifestation of rachel's talent brought forth via shenanigans and administrators? Well, obviously the anime is what made me think this... bam has a bunch of stuff inside him, mostly because he keeps absorbing them. But zahard also seems to have a sort of thing with red tentacles within him. Dunno what it is or how it can possible relate to bam's situation but it's not exactly a stretch that for whatever reason other irregulars have monsters within them. Even with yeon hana we have learned her flame comes from a native one so she has at least that within her. So basically headon or some other admin would have used their powers to manifest rachel's monster and talent externally... so that it may grow while rachel pulls her head out of her ass and is ready to wield it herself.

According to this interview, they did contact SIU but these Akryung changes don't really bother me, if it's an actual tease for the future, cool, if not, it's cool as well. There is not much about him to begin with. The only adaptational change which I really disliked was Baam attacking Hwa Ryun because it was completely out of character.

How much contact did you have with author SIU during production?



The WEBTOON editors acted as a go-between for the production staff and SIU. I had no direct interaction with him, but I believe he was very cooperative with how the anime was produced

Also, when the anime was announced(oficially) SIU tweeted (or was it on the afterwords?) that he was surprised because he had a meeting long long before.

My understanding is that outside of the initial Meeting with producers, SIU only ceded the rights and everything Else was between webtoon and crunchyroll people.

So I think this changes should be taken as Just the anime people Bullshit.

Now, what a boring q&a... The director sounds like he wanted tô be doing anything Else but talk about the anime.

The train guardian existed when zahard and his pals were on the train. I have no idea what you are talking about...
And he can only use black sphere inside the train. So even guardians can only use black sphere under special circunstances...

In this case it amplifies some of baam's phisical abilities like reaction time and combat sense (at least that was what happened each time it gave baam power) while the red thryssa amplifies his control over shinsu.

However we have no indication other irregulars have this kind of monster inside them. At least we should have seen some indication from eduahn or data Z if they had monsters… Another problema is that rachel is suposed to not have any special talent. She is an irregular but she entered the tower because of baam… And ark shouldn t have left rachel alone for all this years if his life is tied to hers… It is just craaaazzyyy.

I just hope thaat siu gives a good explanation why fug didn t transform rachel into na irregular weapon as they wanted to do to baam with the thorn. As long as the weapon can kill irregulars it would be super usefull to them!

It is implied other Irregulars have monsters inside. Actually, with what we have seen recently, it can happen to Regulars even. Irregulars awaken their innate powers in the Rice Pot, they see certain things there. Baam has some kind of ability which allows him to absorb things but it's implied that his peers have monsters inside.

Baam saw Young Data Zahard's monster and got scared. And when the Adult Data Zahard appeared he manifested the red horns from the monster inside him.

As for Regulars we have now AA with his Fire Fish, Ancient Powers like Evankhell's elephant.

Regulars did not exist before Zahard became king and he had made contracts with the administrators to have the testing we do today. The GoG was made by the Workshop, same as the train. The Workshop is it’s own organization and existed in the Tower before there ever was such a thing as Regulars.

interesting point. I wonder how the workshop exists on all floors before the great warriors when as far as we know travel between floors is impossible if you are not a irregular or regular. Perhaps the workshop or at least the founder is an irregular.
