Wow it was axed in 8 chapters. That is ruthless. It's sad that he hasn't moved on from Bobobo though. His recent work from like 2014 was Bobobo related.

Yeah. Even fans felt like Shinsetsu Bobobo was a weak sequel that wasn't as good as the first series. It didn't even get a chance to last longer than a few years.

So mashle will probably be somewhere between 25k and 30k FM, while undead probably a tad over 20k and yozakura...I'm guessing 18-19k? Mashle is definitely safe, wonder if it'll get a cover soon.

Kimetsu's backlog just doesn't seem to ever stop, and next week volume 18 is almost guaranteed to overtake OP 61 on oricon, so that's another record to cross off the list. At this point, it's time to wonder if we'll get our first ever oricon 4mln volume in a year. Volume 18 needs an average of ~ 29.7k per week to reach it (without counting this week, obviously).

mangaplus views dont properly register till a while after. We gotta wait a couple more chapters to see where it ends up

They do register properly, but they give you the sum of all views from the last five weeks. So for the first 5-6 weeks, the views of the first chapter (which are almost always higher than the rest) will skew the average.

My point was more basing purely off the opinions here it seems like one of the worst series Jump has ever launched from chapter 1. Pretty much every other place I've seen it's a lot more mixed-positive (at least at the start). Go look through Viz's comments if you want another example. People were fairly positive on it until a couple chapters ago they started feeling more bored . I agree with 101nemesis that I think it will place alright but start dropping.

I don't think that many people here actively disliked it. They were just generally unimpressed.

But then the same could be said about Yozakura and that one is still around, so... who knows.

It's funny how 'middle ranking' is actually the smallest category now, since there are only 14 series being ranked.

Wasn't Superbowl (American football) the most famous sport event in the USA?
Also, I never know any countries care about baseball beside the USA, its Eastern fangirls (Japan and Korea) and Cuba. Do Canada play anything beside Ice Hockey? Do Mexico play anything but real football?

Sorry for the late reply. Basically baseball is the 3rd most popular sport in America behind American Football and Basketball. NFL had been declining but is back on the rise.

[/SPOILER] Baseball is popular in US, Dominican Republic, Cuba, Venezuela, Columbia, Mexico, Japan, Korean and Taiwan. It’s definitely second to European Football in most of these countries tho. I know of teams in Europe but really niche. Like MLB had a game in London last year. Canada is weird cuz they have the Blue Jays in the MLB (used to have Expos but they moved to America), Raptors in NBA and their own American Football League (CFL).[/SPOILER]

I'm sure there will be a sports manga in the next editions. But the problem is in the acceptance of jump readers, because last year jump launched two sports manga (Beast children and Double taisei) and the two failed.
I do not criticize them for being more cautious.

And about the new round of serializations.

Jump launched a romance and fight manga (to replace yuuna) and 3 other comedies. The point is that Mashle and Moriking have already secured their seats. Mashle is selling 22k so far and Moriking got the 3rd place in the magazine in his first rank.
Seeing all this, will there still be space for the Tamura manga and the others.
Perhaps there is room for boku to roboko as Mitama is apparently near the end. However, I don't see room for Shakunetsu no Niraikinai and God of destruction, especially seeing Mashle and Moriking's reception. I think these manga are only there to serve as pillows for Ayakashi triangle, if it will be a success I don't know.
