Killer Bee vs Kisame is one of the most underrated fights in the manga. That beginning with Bee throwing the pencil at him was SOOOOOOO hype. Especially with that OST in the background. Good stuff

What's there to hate about Bee besides his awful rap?

Well if that wasn't enough, and it really should be. Bee is a comic relief character. Every Jinchuriki up until that point was this cool interesting character. An actual attempt to tell a story. With little things like depth. Bee had no depth at all!

He faked his death to run off and study the ways of shinobi rap. His every single bit of dialogue is garbage because Kishi was trying to rhyme all of it instead of write it intelligently. He has no character arc. He isn't even really a character. He is a bad gimmick. To the core.

As much shit as Sasuke gets, deservedly, for his emo/chunni exisistence. There is an actual attempt to tell a story with him or at least was initially. With Killer Bee there isn't even an attempt.

I like the fact that he is a strong gag character. He stood out to me thanks to that because the cast wasn't great to begin with. It's not like the Jinchuuriki have been very relevant in the first place. Gaara became irrelevant after the first arcs of Shippuden. Yugito had a cool design. The others had a few descriptions and that was it.

Do not compare Killer Bee to Garra, Demon,. That comparison is really what completely damns him. You put Killer Bee's story next to Garra's story and you just have to shake your head at how far things went downhill. What else can you do?

That's the thing. Only Gaara has a real, interesting story and Gaara disappeared after his rescue. All the other Jinchuurikis have more development in anime fillers. They are barely characters.

There were two real ones at that point. Naruto and Garra. I don't consider anime filler because it's irrelevant to the story as a manga reader. They both had actual stories. Bee was the real Jinchuriki hypekiller.

I did like his team actually. Suigetsu was a bit weak but Karin and Jugo were both good ideas. They never really panned out storywise but I liked the idea of Sasuke getting his own squad. Something he really needed because as a solo character he was just too dry.

My issues are more with the latter parts of Sasuke's story specfically but we'll get to that...
