I actually read a good fanfic about this once
Naruto and Sasuke had both offed themselves in the final battle, so Sakura became the leader. Was pretty solid.

I loved her of course mainly for her design. Even considered voting her. I really liked the Kumo cast in general. Would have read a spinoff about them.

So, how was he right in any of those instances ? Instead, he proved madara right and increased madara adherents
Village is made up of clans and clan is made up of people, and his policy of uchiha and to do away with clans, u even feel least suspicious against was precisely used by danzo to commit genocides of multiple clans , not just uchihas , which is mentioned briefly in shindens.

Basically, he sowed seeds of discontent by keeping uchihas away from power, and is indirectly responsible for the mess tht konoha had to see later.

Madara was the one who proved Madara right in the end. His actions are what kicked off everything.

Nevermind that, the way Kishi presented Tobirama's arguments, we were supposed to take them as fact. No one even offered a counter argument to what he said. Not even Hashirama.

That's only 50% Senju, by the time the Uchiha were massacred ( - and they were arguably some of the strongest [if not the strongest] ninja in the village at the time they were ruling

I mean, it's not like they were just sticking in any old Senju, over a more obvious Uchiha pick


Were the Sarutobi clan too closely related to the Senju?
Or was it that Sarutobi had been trained by the 2nd?

Seems more like a case of sour grapes, to me

U do not go making entire clans suffer for one rogue ninja, who has abandoned his clan and get all paranoid.And hashirama always did say to tobirama never to incite uchihas, but he did opposite.

Well, senjus never were on receiving end of it and i would place it on his feet since his policies were what fostered tht.

MEH, attribute it to kishi's flaw there where he failed to achieve desired results or for the matter connect missing dots.

As zimbar says, his character is really fleshed out in novels from how he was small and trained itachi to his missions his ideology, how actively he tried to mend things + his thought process when he failed.
In manga, all we have is person with cool doujutsu.

Hiruzen was just turned into an incredibly poor leader, following the Uchiha retcon...

If you are arguing that Sarutobi was an awful leader [following retcon], then sure, I agree - tbh he was a pretty terrible guy before the retcon, going by how he treated Naruto

If you are arguing that Danzou should've been locked up, as the lunatic he was - then, again, I agree (man had stolen eyes embedded into his own arm ffs)

If you are arguing that some other character should've been Hokage, instead of Sarutobi, then I'm not sure I agree - he was the most powerful ninja pre-retcon... and although he wasn't after the retcon, the Uchiha had been turned into absolute monsters

All except a very minor few (Shisui, perhaps, and a load of un-named Uchiha), none of which seemed to be as powerful as Sarutobi (or, if you want to argue that Shisui was [which I have no idea, as little to nothing was shown in the manga], then Shisui seemed to really respect Sarutobi as a leader - which should instantly disqualify him from leadership, tbh)

Tobirama's only fault is he didn't wipe them all out himself.

This is the best character in the manga. An example of Kishi being able to take a gimmick and make it cool/interesting and not annoying (like Bee). Pure unadulterated chaos, his only motivation is his art. The best catchphrase in the series. No stupid fucking Talk no Jutsu used to redeem him. Goes out in his own nuclear explosion that should have killed Sasuke if not for the stupid fucking Manda asspull.
