The only other champion related manga you missed was Efu no Shichinin in 83rd which is from champion red.
Funnily enough in 85th is the isekai manga on the wareware youtuber guys that are also the basis for the iruma spin off.

I actually saw that it was out of stock in amazon before going on sale, so this series sales was completely underestimated by the sales department.
That would be understandable, since I honestly didn’t see it surpassing Iruma, and I didn’t think that the series having more engagement on Twitter than the main manga itself would translate to sales.

Continued from last page. Will be interesting to see how much Boku no Kokoro can pull. Iruma's ahead of Makai for now, but reprints haven't come to save the day. The long-term battle between these two will be interesting to watch.
On the other side, look at all these flops. Two of them are already over, and the other two aren't looking too hot, either.

Man, Akita Shonen underestimated Makai! demand. That manga was trending on Twitter when the volume came out. You can already feel it hitting it's current limit without reprints on the way. Went from #1 to out of the Top 50... this thing is probably going to have legs and could realistically take Iruma's crown as the highest-selling currently-running WSC manga. It would certainly make Xiaolong extremely happy to hear that, lol. If it ever comes to that, my only wish is for Makai bring to Iruma up in sales with it.

Also!

I'm setting a goalbar. The latest volume (17) of We Never Learn sold 53,622 copies in it's 4 day first week. I want to see if either Iruma, Makai, or BokuYaba can beat that with a full first week.

A Kuzuhana CP? Neat, they're nice to look at. I've been enjoying this manga a little more and more ever since Chapter 11. Hopefully it can keep going down the path it's currently on right now, then I'll want it to survive!

Kuzuhana will have a CP in issue 29 and a lead cp in issue 30. It probably had good reception, Its been a while since a harem romcom has started well like this.

Vampire Dies in No Time CP - i like Bonnoki's colour pages.
Its having a collab project with iruma, its not new the vampire dies in no time has had collab with it previously.

NOTES
Alright, and a thrillingly long Week 1 complete!
-Holy shit, Iruma's barely outta the Top 20. That's...over 61k it sold. It even managed to penetrate one of the more dominant Kimetsu Walls we've seen this year! (Iruma's #4 when you remove the Demon Slayer backlogs, lol.) This is really exciting, I honestly can't wait to see these Oricon numbers. Not just for Iruma, but also for...
-...Makai no Shuuyaku. This is probably going to be the best debut we'll ever see in Weekly Shonen Champion in a while. to be fair, being a spinoff of the high-selling Iruma in addition to collaborating with a popular YouTube channel is...well, cheating. But it's no less impressive, especially considering the fact that it's already hot on Iruma's tail! #22?! With reprints coming in for both series, this is going to be a war of attrition. Makai might actually win - the Twitter reception may have actually translated rather nicely to sales! I'm hoping that the Makai and Iruma can help each other with sales. One big question, though: Can Makai grow from here?
-Boku no Kokoro's #34 is impressive on it's own, but you add an extra 10k from it's regular edition sales and you've got yourself a goddamn contender for highest seller of the week. The manga managed to top the Comic Vine chart, and now it's earned a spot in the Oricon Top 50 for the first time in it's run. It's very deserving, and I have a feeling that it's only gonna rise from here.
-Harigane Service has an impressive first week, but I wonder how much higher it can go before leaving Shoseki.
-On the other side of the list, we have out newbie flops. Baku-kun at least made it onto Shoseki for a whole day! Things aren't looking good for it, though it can turn itself around. I dont think I ccan say the same for Tsukiji Saikyou. That manga's very likely joining Dorakon! and Shabaou in 1 to 3 volumes.

sales from oricon (the leaker did not include makai but its probably close to iruma)

Iruma 17 -103,280
Boku no Kokoro no Yabai Yatsu - 79,997

if volume 16 took 68 to get 107k sales then oricon definitely includes more sales than shoseki for iruma specifically.
Nah, that’s actually just how much the entire franchise sold in a week. This also happens to include backlog sales, which explains the millions that Kimetsu keeps selling despite no new volume in a month or two.

Iruma still has pretty decent backlog sales from the anime (which is re-running) and Boku no Kokoro is growing. The actual volume sales list will come later this week.

Speaking of Boku no Kokoro: It finished 4th In Tsutaya Comic Prize voting this year.

Makai's sales have melted my brain, I don't even know what to think other than "please let me read it!"

Makai's sales have melted my brain, I don't even know what to think other than "please let me read it!"
I wanna elaborate:

Iruma: For a week, it conquered the entire Kimetsu Wall of Backlogs (Volume 20's the latest), barely placing outside of the Top 5 and 70k. That's honestly incredible. I want to see how well Volume 17 can hold with this extremely hot start. It sold 20k more than the last volume. Two days is a while, though, and there's also the lockdown to consider. Even with these factors, I still think the series has grown and will continue to grow, especially with its spinoff also getting off to an amazing start and the anime re-running. Speaking of:

Makai: Again, it's an Iruma collab with some pretty popular YouTubers, so naturally this was going to sell quite a bit. But... it's almost on par with Iruma! Makai's first volume is the second-highest selling first week this year, beating out even Yowamushi and Beastars! We already have a contender for the biggest currently running WSC manga. The BIG question is if it can grow, but considering the fact that the manga sold out almost instantly bodes really well for it!

Boku no Kokoro: Limited edition sales seem rather impressive. Now add the regular edition's Shoseki estimations and you get 67,503 total copies sold, putting it almost right in the middle of Makai and Iruma. Last volume sold 12,790 Week 1 and the volume before sold only Granted, there were 10 months in-between each volume, so plenty of time to grow. But it's no less impressive. And again, it's only going to grow mroe as it keeps getting attention, as it manages to be a top contender for numerous awards.

Rokudou no Onnatachi - 1.8 million copies in print. source - latest cp

It was previously 1.7m, so a 100k rise.
--- Double Post Merged, , Original Post Date: ---

I made a recent blog post on the state of the magazine and iruma kun recently.
I was thinking of doing one on the series but decided against it since i am not necessarily too keen in any of them. I will leave some comments here though

1 - Yankee JK
A stable ero romcom, Toshinori is an experienced author with some series like this under his belt like Amaenaideyo

2- Nazuna
A nice comedy series, its actually does not have have a lot ecchi stuff even though it was advertised as ero comedy.

3 - Tougen
A battle series - I personally feel like too much was crammed in the first chapter and perhaps even the second.

looking forward to the next new series round.
