Magu-chan: Again, only in English. I can't help but see this as a bad sign.
- Oh, great. A cult. (Am I the only one who got reminded of the end of Death Note?)
- Oh, great. An arrogant god-thingy. How novel.
- Is this an RPG? It looks like an RPG.
- Oh, great. Another ungodly powerful potentially world-ending ancient artifact that people just lost somewhere.
- Congratulations! You have been nominated for the award of most stupid WSJ main character of the decade. In just three pages. That's impressive.
- Kill it.
- ... That actually wasn't that bad a try. Nice serve.
- See, even the killer octopus thinks you're stupid.
- Nice punch. Is it possible to get into middle school with a sport scholarship?
- Yeah, it's gotta be.
- The killer octopus isn't that smart either.
- This got old already.
So far, it feels like a cross between "Time for Torture, Princess", Mizore-chan and Bone Collection. But Time for Torture is funnier, Mizore-chan is more original and Bone Collection has better action.
I'm not completely writing it off yet, but the second chapter will need to distinguish itself more if it wants to survive.
Ayakashi Triangle: The unnecessary panty shots annoy me. I can overlook that sort of thing if the story is really good (like in Btooom), but if this becomes a monster-of-the-week thing, it's not gonna hold my interest.
Dr Stone: You are both underestimating and overestimating the enemy at the same time. I love it.
Bone Collection: Is it me or is the art even less polished than usual this week?
Time Paradox: New wave of Corona in 2030, confirmed.
lol, Undead Unluck became self-aware.
I don't really like her dress though. Not entirely sure why. The top kind of reminds me of a space suit?
WNL: Yeah, this kind of story really doesn't work so well when you already know the ending.
Moriking: So you can summon butterflies, grasshoppers and beetles, but not ants or cockroaches..? Yeah, I call bullshit. He was just trying to make the kid feel better about himself.
Mashle: The first half was basically OPM, if OPM was even more self-aware (that "There goes the dramatic tension" made me laugh out loud). Second half was basically just set-up, but promising.
Mitama: The 'final arc' was wrapped up off-screen. I'm still not sure what that means.
Act-age: The fact that they keep using the word 'actor' for the person they are playing really throws me off. Is this Manami a guy? Are they doing crossplay? (Wikipedia says it's a girl's name) Or did the M+ translator just suddenly forget that the word 'actress' exists? They were using it before...
Black Clover: This is as classical as it gets.
Guardian of the Witch got a mostly decent ending after all. They even took care of all loose ends. I hope the mangaka comes back soon with a new idea and improved storytelling and pacing.
