Honestly don't get the Orihime hate excluding shipping wars bias. Would have loved Ichigo's friends to be more relevant of course but she was decent enough. Her ability was broken and could have been used much better.

I never cared much about Ishida. Boring powers, I had high expectations when he first appeared but he never delivered, but he had some cool moments.

Renji almost made my list but ironically, although he probably shone more than all of Ichigo's friends, the lack of screentime affected my choice..

For the Bleach Top 10 I heavily valued this . I don't care that much about most of the cast but when I saw things from the waifu angle it made things much simpler.

That's one of the reasons. She had a broken ability but decided she would only use it to heal cause hurting people is too hard. It was a total waste of potential. The "Kurosaki-kun" every 3 seconds didn't help either.

It applies to most of the characters sadly. I do get the comparison to Hinata too(and I don't hate Hinata) but Hinata is much more of a satellite character. Orihime is at least a bit more than that.

Honestly, with her ability, if Kubo had wanted she could have become one of the strongest character of the series. She even stopped Mustache Man attacks IIRC? But still, healing and defending is better than most non-Captains I'd say. And she is likeable enough IMO.

Though just like with Naruto I wasn't really discussing Bleach with lot of people so I also realized that there were huge shipping wars at the end of the manga .

His fight against Mayuri is one of the best parts of Soul Society arc. Also in general his fights were more enjoyable to watch than Ichigo's (Due to the smarts and all).
Where Kubo dropped the ball was that Quincy stuff in the last arc. They never explained why Ishida survived that Quincy holocaust

Decent enough so far. Though, Renji is too low. Orihime is about fine at this place. She was never developed enough for a top 20 spot.
