Hey I got a question, Has there ever been a case of manga from another mag or place moving INTO jump?
Essentially no. The closest it comes to a series moving from another magazine is that Bastard moved out of the magazine into their seasonal special magazine for a while, then moved back into Jump for a bit before moving to Ultra Jump. Also when Monthly Shonen Jump ended and was replaced by Jump SQ, there was a few months gap between the two magazines. During that gap, Gag Manga Biyori, Claymore, Rosario to Vampire, and Tegami Bachi ran chapters in Weekly Shonen Jump.
That’s probably because people hype it up to such an extreme standard that once they read it doesn’t reach there expectations so they drop it.
I find it unironically fascinanting that MHA always have this divisiness about it, I am also on the side that believe that the hate on MHA is due to it being hyped a lot when it was on its initial stages, that quite infamous (now used as a joke by MHA detractors) fanart about naruto passing the baton to deku while luffy says goodbye is very iconical of the initial hype it had going on
While I'm sure the hype could be a contributor to the criticism it gets, I wouldn't blame it as a main problem. My Hero Academia is the sort of series where it's flaws become apparent over time. For example Hori's problems utilizing his secondary cast, and developing his characters aren't the sort of thing that'd be readily apparent while reading the even first few dozen chapters. Then as you read years worth of chapters, the problems start to become apparent and are a deal breaker for some people.
Lmao, asking for female lead when there is still no female editor.
Why not? The two are essentially unrelated. We already have women mangaka who've worked in the magazine. We've also had female lead characters on the cover - both for romcoms where they tend to put the heroine like Chitose or Yuuna on the cover instead of the MC, and for series where the main character is female like TPN and Act-Age. Sure at the moment they seem invested in having Luffy be the biggest face on the magazine, but they had no issue putting Emma equal with the likes of Deku, Asta, and Tanjiro. I'm sure if One Piece hadn't still been around, it'd have been something like Deku, Asta, Tanjiro and Emma placed equally as the face characters of the magazine, much like it used to get for One Piece, Naruto, and Bleach or Toriko.
