Moderator Notice:
Henceforth, I will be deleting posts that complain about Weekly Shonen Jump having too many/not enough gag/battle/exorcism/sports/etc series.

These posts are not insightful, and do not meaningfully contribute to this thread. Also, this decision is not up for discussion, so posts discussing this decision will also be deleted.~ Halloween

Act-Age on Shoseki, Day 2:
#31 - 12
#39 - 9
#42 - 10
#43 - 8
#44 - 7
#46 - 6
#47 - 5
#50 - 4
#51 - 1
#52 - 11
#53 - 3
#54 - 2

Almost all in the top 50, and it will probably go a little higher tomorrow before stock finally runs out. I wish Usazaki the best in her future endeavors (after she has enough time to recover, of course).

#86 Mashle 2
Do you think Mashle will still appear in the Oricon Top 50? I mean it debut high but the drop on the last 3 days worries me it won't...

That cliffhanger, this chapter was painful to read. I don’t get people, if he would have just controlled himself and be a decent human being then act age could have potentially been one of shonen jump’s pillars, he would have been a respected author rather than being known as a sex offender, and act age would have been remembered for the right reasons. While it does suck that act age ended in that way, I’m glad he got caught as this probably wasn’t his first nor would it have been his last if he was not caught.

I wonder if AA would show up on Oricon.
This is painful.
All I can think about is what if...

Shonen Jump probably going to work with a shorter line up for a while now, with Mitama, Bone and 99% sure of Ghostwriter ending + the unfortunate case of Act-Age, and Burn The Witch (if really weekly) already ending when Bokura no Ketsumei starts, Jump will be with 19 series running until they start a new round, they will probably not even have to end anything for the rest of the year unless they want to push for a new round with over 2 series, which wouldn't be a surprise seeing the current state.

Yeah, my guess is we're just running on 19 series until the next batch, which at this rate I would image will be the first few issues of 2021.

When does the Ayakashi batch get their first volumes, November? Certainly we'll see what they'll be cancelling by then.

This week's top 5:
1. Mitama Security - Hilarious final chapter. I'm glad they decided to go meta with the ending rather than something too serious. For all it was worth, the series was cute and fun, plus it got to live a very generous life in the magazine. Hopefully Pigeon-sensei's next work will be a success!
2. Magu-chan: God of Destruction - Really great chapter with another excellent new character. I'm really hoping Magu-chan will get a good ranking and sell well. I can't take much more heartbreak.
3. Undead Unluck - Awesome fight scene going on, and I love those spreads the author makes.
4. We Never Learn - Best chapter of We Never Learn in months. Funny, interesting setting and timeline. I'm already enjoying this more than Fumino and Rizu's stories.
5. Act-Age - Never thought I'd have to say goodbye to both Mitama and Act-Age in the same issue. What the author did is unforgivable, and my heart goes out to the victims. I also feel bad for the artist, the fans, and all of the workers on the stage play. Seeing such an interesting story cut down like this is a real shame, but I'll remember Act-Age for the good times rather than the unfortunate way it had to end. Best of luck to Usazaki-sensei in the future.

The best of the rest:
6. Mission: Yozakura Family - Really good chapter. Glad to see some good old-fashioned family bonding. Can't wait to see the next chapter.
7. Moriking - Funny chapter, and I enjoy the new character. A real bummer that the first volume didn't sell more.
8. Mashle - An interesting fight scene, but I'm more curious about what's going to happen next week.
9. Chainsaw Man - Definitely wasn't expecting that ending. Can't see anything good coming from that vague wording.
10. Me & Roboco - This chapter was actually kind of funny. It's still too soon to tell, but it might be starting to grow on me a tad.
11. Ayakashi Triangle - The art is solid, but the chapter itself was just alright. I'm not sure what this series is missing, but there's something I'm craving that's still absent.
12. Hard-Boiled Cop and Dolphin - Yet another eh chapter. Nothing really funny happened, but nothing was really that bad either. It kind of just exists.
13. Agravity Boys - Not enough HDB, but at least that dreadful flashback arc is over.
14. Bone Collection - Cranking the dial to 100 on the plot-rushing factor. Those last few pages really came out of nowhere.
15. Time Paradox Ghostwriter - If Bone Collection set the dial to 100, this raised it to 1,000. This series has to be ending in 2 chapters. The entire plot was just awkwardly laid out and explained in a manner that makes Agravity Boys appear succinct. Date really got screwed being hitched to this series.

Is it confirmed that it'll be monthly with over 50 pages per chapter? I heard that but I wasn't able to confirm.
Viz has it as weekly (though that could be a placeholder). But the other three chapters could still be 40-50 pages since he has them done already.

Im quite excited to watch the remake, I never have watched the original and only heard of it before via cousins that used to watch it in their childhood. Also, I been quite surprised by the Digimon remake and I hope this new remake can get the same type treatment and care.
It's surprising for me Toei will aired 4 anime at the same time and their quality did stepped up even under the Covid situations. Mad pros to their hard work.

He did the same with mine a little bit ago too. He really seems like a genuinely nice, quirky guy. I'm glad that it looks like a lot of fans are commenting on his post.
