Mashle 1 selling more than all the other newbies 2 entire months after it got released is amusing. Yeah, this one will stay in the magazine for a good while and has great potential, more than any other series since Chainsaw Man. Good growth from Yozakura too. I need Oricon to see all the numbers.

little to enjoy in this week issue

Nirai Kanai: wow, a whole chapter about groping a chick and having the perverts' efforts rewarded at the end, amazing timing Tamura!!
no jokes, no world building, no characters development in fact Shark regressed, nothing happened, we went from the best chapter to the weakest so far
Magu-chan: another great chapter, I really hoped Izuma was just a chuuni, let's see where the holy knights sub plot goes
TPGW: HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA, I didn't know this was a gag, funniest chapter this week by far
Mashle: 2 chapters in a row with no jokes, weird how they jumped straight to Mash and the boss fight, I hope Finn and Daut battle doesn't get snubbed
Yozakura: super cliched, I like how the author felt the need to explain "Haiyai!! *teleports behinds you*" scene in a WSJ manga
Mitama: RIP sweet pigeon, your fight is just starting
Roboco: and we are back to references humor, remember Chainsaw Man? remember TLR? remember AT?....I knew Roboco would have a second form because the jokey ugly design can't carry the premise for long, also again this week chapter was the weakest so far imo

Okay, I see now why people said TPGW is getting axed. Honestly unlike many other readers I found it pretty weak as a series, outside of the premise and the art (Which kinda feels lacking in style/personality)

although I don't like Tosh and Miura's artstyles either, I much prefer something like Magu or KnY's artstyle which isn't as polished but has personality so I could be the weird one

You say that but we're about to get the third exorcist manga this year, and we have 3 different series

- Murakoshi: previously in charge of Act-Age, launching Burn the Witch and Honomieru Shounen. He was previously in charge of Bleach (and was at that BtW livestream) and launched Tokyo Shinobi Squad, so both were expected.
- Naito: launching Bokura no Ketsumei (the vampire series). Also in charge of One Piece (media).

Unknowns are Ayakashi, Dolphin, and Nakama's series (Koukousei Kazoku).

lol i just discovered that Shakunetsu no Niraikanai was originally a one shot published by Tamura in a issue of the Akamaru Jump in 2004!!!


My goodness i didnt even knew he was already a artist at that time, by the few pages you can find putting ニライカナイより on google you can see how amateur was his art, also the one shot was very different but it was still about the sea, so looks like is a theme that he liked for a long time and had the chance to do now, it kinda reminds me about Horikoshi going for his old MHA one shot after flopping in his 2nd series, wishing Tamura can find the success too

Agreed on the art, something like UxU or Jujutsu is much more pleasing for me to look at rather than generic good art that you cant distinguish the author from a random twitter user. TPGW as a whole is an interesting case where people for some godly reason ignore everything about the story and only talk about potential or premise and im just baffled by it.

Jujutsu Kaisen in Fall can be a very interesting situation. I wonder if it wull br able to get a sport in the Oricon Top10

Almost guaranteed. Currently, there are more or less 4 manga that could take places 8 to 10: Toilet-bound Hanako-kun, Spy x Family, Fire Force and Jujutsu Kaisen. Below them are Kaguya, Attack on Titan and Dr. Stone, but they are too far behind imo.
They will (probably) all have one more volume before the end of the year. (Two for Jujutsu if we include the August one), but Hanako-kun doesn't sell enough backlog to stay in the top, so it'll probably be the one to fall off the top.

The only question is what will be the order for those three. SxF seems like the most likely candidate for 8th place, but if the Fire Force or Jujutsu anime boosts are strong enough, they could overtake it.

That's apparently also the issue Iwashiro had his oneshot Dog child Kudoh. I guess they knew eachother since way back. It just makes me want both of them to be on the magazine together again.
