in the nami one he used a tablet ....
there's a big difference tablet/pencil ...you must know it eats since you're a great colorist

maybe references were used no but ...so do I when I want to make them identical. but I usually like to draw in my own style

Yeah that was a bold statement by me on saying its a majority of his work is a paint-over. still fact of a matter is a manipulation was done with out a credit, if it was a reference its alright but a photo manipulation is a must unless the picture was taken by him self. In the business that I work in, If I did that I would get sued big time. thats why an uncredited work is a big no-no for me.

Sakura-aniki ~ Some of those pencil sketches could be perfectly traced from the original photo and shaded on top. Which is an easy job.

I have the impression that in some cases he's done the process "backwards". Photomanipulated the photos and then to show "proof" he painted, tracing/sketching the painting in paper.

There are serious fluctuations in anatomy between what seem to be his originals and the paintovers, I do not think however that everything is paint overs.

Just some of them: the Nami one is very obvious. But i dare to say that the Neji one is a paintover over a photo of a very damn sexy person. Same with Kankuro.

This person is not bad at painting, he just must be very lazy. Since photomanips can't be done by everyone either, but they're a lazy thing to do. And they're a dishonest thing to do if you don't say what they really are!

What i hate is people lying about it. If you did a photomanip: say it.

Yeah. I'm not going to make any accusations...but it DOES look like an obvious photomanip to me.

His Neji piece looks a LOT like Chris Evans. I can't be bothered to check and see if it's a rip, though. I'm far too lazy, and I don't really care that much, to be honest.

Same here, some Chris Evans fan will find out sooner or later and report it himself.

I'm tired of rips/paintovers/tracedart/screencaps in dA, I've reported too many already, I can't be bothered anymore.

If they don't want to be honest (with themselves & everyone), it's their problem later on.

The poll results will never be shown to non-admin members. An admin announces the results in the thread after voting is done.
