Moderator Notice:
Henceforth, I will be deleting posts that complain about Weekly Shonen Jump having too many/not enough gag/battle/exorcism/sports/etc series.

These posts are not insightful, and do not meaningfully contribute to this thread. Also, this decision is not up for discussion, so posts discussing this decision will also be deleted.~ Halloween

I can only see Black Clover and My Hero Academia making to around 400 chapters but even then that would be endgame for both. By 2025/26 I expect the entire magazine to be different, meanwhile World Trigger will outlast them all.

MHA I figure may end naturally around there, but I'm sure Tabata's talked before about hoping Black Clover can be as long as Naruto. It'll keep going until it either gets cancelled or Tabata has health issues or gets bored of it.

Speak for yourself, mate. Yes, Isekai has many cliches that are repeated over and over and it gets tiring at some point, but there are some that despite all of that are actually great. I personally would love to see Jump serialize an Isekai with a great world building like Tensura or one that has many mysteries and twists like Re:Zero (which also has a fully realized world and is also my favourite Isekai).
There is really something wrong with the genre if it's literally "some" are good. The series that participate in the isekai quartet are the only decent/good ones. As a long time ex-isekai fan the genre is just a cluster of copy self insert of character design reskins. There is a obvious reason why jump doesnt allow isekai. Hell I dont even call the genre an isekai anymore. It's just a power fantasy

Just because he said that randomly one time when he was just starting doesn't mean it's actually going to happen.

World trigger would only have 120 more chapters at BEST (Assuming he does 2 chapters per month)

Yeah, alone due the monthly releases WT will last longer plus Ashihara is really stubborn (so much he destroyed his health over his work plan) so I doubt he is content with telling only part of the story he thought up of WT considering he went through the entire tournament arc but overshoot it by 2 whole volumes because he kept adding more stuff that made the story better in his eyes.

That BC gonna make 400 is quite impressive. I remember when it had freshly came out that everyone was sure this would end pretty soonish but instead it outlived most of its competition till now.

I assume we will get around 100 chapter till 2025/6 because of his sickness causing him still pain so sometimes we will only get one chapter and sometimes none.

BC will reach it. I don't read it anymore but I could completely sense that it would be a long series as long as remained popular enough to not be cancelled.

Dr. Stone could reach it, but the pace is quite fast. I won't spoil it here, but I'm assuming some more 150 chapters at least. To reach 400 would be a bit tough, but it is possible.

BnHA can reach it more easily, but maybe it wouldn't be the best case. We need to see the next arc, will probably be decisive to have an idea about final length.

That's one of the problems of this last gag-filled entries. They seem to have a reduced scope. Going to long-shots, looooonge long-shots, actually I could see a scenario in which Cop and Dolphin reaches it. Really. It just depends on how they want to broaden the story. It it stays low-scale, then it's fast (I'm considering that it wouldn't be cancelled of course).

Of course, we have no clue if Honomieru will even pass 20 chapters, but it really is shonen-like. Could be long as well.

speaking of Jump in a few years time, I imagine it'll be a weird feeling for the mangaka who becomes the new senior creator once One Piece ends.

Oh, sorry for another post, but: Do you think BC or BnHA reach 400 before HxH?

I'm also feeling Bnha is reaching to its endgame. I felt that when the arc started.

I think My Hero Academia has easily the most potential to reach the 400 chapters mark (unless sales start crashing lol). It has finally reached the peak of the Rise of the Villains Saga and that should be midway through, plus there's a lot more to be uncovered. Tabata wants to go on for a long time but with sales either hitting a plateau or decreasing (not to mention certain rumours about the anime), I don't see Black Clover going on for that long, maybe 350 chapters? It's the most uncertain one out of the entire veteran roster.

Chainsaw Man and Jujutsu Kaisen are both series that feel like they won't run for more than 250 chapters, I wouldn't even be surprised if Chainsaw Man ended around chapter 100. Dr. Stone should be around 250 chapters or maybe 300 at most. Undead and Unluck, albeit full of creativity, doesn't like it can last for an extended period, maybe 150-200 chapters. Same for Mashle. I can see Yozakura lasting until the 100th chapter. The rest are mostly gags/comedies and those are as unpredictable as they come and We Never Learn which we already know it's going to end soon.

There is really something wrong with the genre if it's literally "some" are good. The series that participate in the isekai quartet are the only decent/good ones. I mean you can say the same about Harem or Ecchi and look where we are.

My Hero can reach and surpass the 400th chapter.

Black Clover ...... I dunno. Maybe he will stopped at 350....

Dr Stone idem. Jujutsu before or after the 250

same way One Piece has lasted almost a decade after a fairly similarly toned arc
how? luffy was never anywhere close to getting to the OnePiece.

HeroAca, just has to have Deku and Shigaraki battle, then time skip to number 1 hero deku...

Totally separate circumstances

My Hero Academia more than anything is about how Deku ends up becoming the #1 Hero and he's nowhere near that point yet. His quirk still has to develop a lot as well. I wouldn't be surprised if the story goes past his high school years. The only question mark is who the antagonists will be after the current arc, but until that ends that's still up in the air.

Ya'll need to stop falling for Shark's baits.

Every genre is filled with "some" that are good. You don't read the ones that are not good because they don't get popular or are cancelled.
Poor logic and reasoning.

There are tons and tons of bad manga out there in every genre.

Heck, doesn't Burn The Witch fall under isekai with it's Reverse London concept?
