Well, if we want to take an opposite example, when the author of Soul Eater switched to Fire Force, it was clear that in the first chapters he was reproducing the style of a monthly in a weekly, and in fact he risked closing the series too soon, much which has gradually looked for strategies to slow it down.
The ones who adapt well to monthly schedules never had a problem with a weekly schedule, they're in a different magazine simply because it's a better place for what they want to do.
Togashi however can't even keep up chapters with no schedule at all, there's no chance of him being able to stick with doing it monthly. And One Piece going monthly would mean even fewer issues have the series, that's fine for something like Bort which doesn't matter much but One Piece is Jump's big signature manga, running only 12 chapters of it per year at most would be a terrible move.
Plus just look at D.Gray-man, that's by an author who struggled to keep a weekly schedule, then struggled with a monthly schedule, and now it runs in a magazine that has just 4 issues per year and it still struggles. World Trigger is another series that couldn't keep up a weekly schedule any more and while it's doing better than D.Gray-man at being monthly, it still sometimes needs unscheduled breaks.
OP or HxH going monthly probably wouldn't make them any more consistent.

Slam Dunk from Inoue was a weekly. It's considered a masterpiece sure, however many of his fans consider both Real and Vagabond his subsequent monthly serializations to be superior works.
I also listed other Jump mangaka I think improved moving to a monthly schedule.
However, if we're going to get into non-Jump series like you are then you really have no room to stand on as there are countless examples that counter you on both sides. Need I bring up Vinland Saga? This is such a silly argument and it's disrespectful to artists to assume their limitations through projection alone.

For Togashi, I brought up the possibility of him doing six chapters a year, thus giving room to a miniseries or two for those remaining 6 issues in that slot.
One Piece going monthly would be a financial hit, but if necessary it would be better than not having it in the magazine at all.
Bringing up Hoshino isn't a fair example as she's been experiencing consistently declining health for a long time now. D. Gray Man is only still being serialized because it still sells, and out of respect for her (like Togashi).
I think Ashihara is doing just fine tbh, I think his pacing and art has improved a lot with this new schedule. He's still a human so he's entitled to an unscheduled break here or there to tend to his existing injuries.
Ideally though, Jump would be giving the slots to mangaka who physically can handle the schedule. I just brought up HxH and One Piece as easy options to fill those slots and ease the existing burdens on those specific mangaka.

Togashi has also had lots of recurring health problems similar to Hoshino, it's a very fair comparison. There are years where HxH has zero chapters, there's no chance of him getting a chapter out consistently for multiple months in a row. His current schedule of releasing chapters whenever they're ready is the one that suits him best.
One Piece isn't gone from the magazine, it's just taking breaks every 3-4 weeks. Switching to monthly would only result in having significantly less chapters overall, there would be zero benefit to it whatsoever.
Non W SJ mangaka like Arakawa, Oh Great!, Fujisawa, Yukimura, Takahashi, Yagi, Tanabe, Fujita, Fukuchi, and Adachi to name a few also have been able to successfully shift between monthly and weeklies/weeklies to monthlies.

I also compared Togashi to Hoshino in the same post so that's not what I meant.
I meant that using Hoshino is not a fair comparison to argue that weekly mangaka can't adapt to a monthly serialization. Hoshino and Togashi both have issues because they have existing physicals illnesses. However it shouldn't be used as an argument against other weekly mangaka moving to a monthly serialization.
I only brought up moving Oda and Togashi to monthly as a possibly remedy to the situation. I am not saying that these monthly spots should exclusively go to ailing mangaka.
As for One Piece, I am not saying it should go monthly right away or even at all necessarily. Just as an option in case Oda's health gets worse.
One Piece releases more or less 50 pages a month nowadays (3 17-page chapters every four issues, give or take an occasional 15-page one). Maybe less, considering breaks became more frequent recently. It's not a perfect comparison, but it's not that much greater an output than some monthly series. So I don't think it would make that much of a substantial difference (unless the pagecount was dramatically lowered as well, but that doesn't seem to be the argument here) regarding Oda's health or regularity. It would help, maybe, but that single step by itself wouldn't do much, imo.
The difference with current schedule and monthly would actually be huge but not in terms of Oda's health, rather for the magazine itself. Because then instead of having 3 issues a month with OP in it you would have one, which would hurt the magazine significantly.

Working to meet a monthly deadline is not as physically and emotionally demanding as rushing to meet a weekly one, even with a higher page count.
It won't completely erase his issues, but if he gets to a point where he can't realistically meet the weekly deadlines anymore I think it could be seen as an option to make it easier for him to put out a similar number of pages even if reduced slightly.

I've said over and over that this should only be a hypothetical if Oda gets to a point where he's unable to meet the weekly schedule. It would be better than not having it in the magazine at all. For the time being, he should keep up the weekly schedule as long as he possibly can.
I'm not going to repeat it again, but it's annoying how you guys keep taking what I'm saying out of context even though I've reiterated it countless times now.
Of course it's not without it's share of demands. I'm an artist who works on contract as well. I'm very aware of how demanding deadlines can be.
However, a month is a lot easier on the mind than a week. Especially if it's physically demanding work.

I wasn't even referring to anything you said in particular and just chiming in on my view of the situation, I didn't even quote you or anything, but ok.
One Piece turning monthly would probably be a disaster for One Piece media aside from the manga.
Just imagine the One Piece anime while the manga is on a monthly schedule
This Saturday is the Herofest. Wondering if we'll get information of MHA season 5. Anime date? I'm even more curious if we'll get Selecta Vision doing simulcasts in Spain (Selecta Vision is the main (only) spanish anime licenser, and they have made MHA their anime series franchise) (spanish guys from here, did you go to the cinemas to watch the movie?).
Herofest doesn't have manga stuff if I recall right, but I'm not sure. I think Horikoshi was in the one last year.
