Henceforth, I will be deleting posts that complain about Weekly Shonen Jump having too many/not enough gag/battle/exorcism/sports/etc series.

These posts are not insightful, and do not meaningfully contribute to this thread. Also, this decision is not up for discussion, so posts discussing this decision will also be deleted.~ Halloween

on MP it is the third series for views
This point in particular is egregiously bad, and you know it. You know those views can be manipulated, so why even bring it up?

If someone wants to tweet the Jujutsu Kaisen ending from the direct source (I know there are people who avoid using wsj_manga for some reason, for example), here is the url from the Toho Youtube account:

I've liked more the OP than the ED but I'm seeing a lot of people commenting they liked the ED more. Is very comfy.

Gintama The Final movie new key visual
[/ISPOILER]
Goddamn perfection. Release a trailer so I can see that gorgeous animation quality, Sunrise!!

It’s nice that Spyair is contributing to Gintama one last time.

It is a sign that there is a fandom

Again, talk about disaster, but bring sales as the only data, which as we have seen are good for a manga published on V-Jump.

Again, if it really is a disaster, why does it still continue?

Why does he still have an anime with over one hundred and fifty episodes?

I'm waiting

Not a reliable sign, since it can be manipulated.

For V-Jump, sure. For WSJ, though?

Again, if it really is a disaster, why does it still continue?
It still continues because it turns a profit. But Raf wasn’t talking about profits, he was talking about reputation.

It's a manga published first in WSJ as a direct spinoff of one of biggest series of all time. That's why it has the sales it has.
Doesn't take away the fact that the sales have nose dived from when it started which is everyone's point.

It continues because it still makes money because of the franchise's worth and name. It's living off the franchise name. You know, like how anything with Pokemon's name on it will sell like candy.

The anime argument is so weak. It has a long running anime because it's from Naruto's franchise from a studio that likes doing long running anime.
It's just trying to milk the franchise. How is this not obvious? (Rhetorical question)

You know, you can enjoy something and still accept the criticisms and shortcomings of it.

I don't see the problem, since it is no longer on the Jump ....

Again, how is Boruto supposed to tarnish Kishi's report?

Because does he have haters?

Any manga has haters, I can assure you that for everyone who spews hate on manga there are those who exalt it.

Either way, I don't see the problem.

It sells, so there are those who appreciate it and follow it.

Point. So what's the point of talking about a ruined reputation?

Like many other series.

The fact remains that these are more than decent sales for a spin off sequel.

Ok, so what's the problem ?

Criticism is one thing, that is, if you say "for me the work is bad", I am nobody to contradict you.

But if you start with "the manga is a disaster that has ruined Kishimoto's reputation" then no, because neither point is true.

Boruto is not a disaster because as we have seen he sells and has profits and has not ruined Kishi's reputation as there is no evidence (if you have testimonies of people who burn the manga on the street and vomit insults against Kishimoto nothing to say) .

I repeat that he said this

oruto's a disaster that has affected in a severe negative way Kishimoto's name.
message that honestly seems to me dictated by a resentment towards the manga (since it states that it has even ruined the reputation of Kishimoto) or by wrong evaluations (precisely the sales that as mentioned for a spin off series are more than acceptable).

I don't have any resentment towards a manga that's pretty much ongoing due to milking and giving profit to a franchise that's bound to live on forever due to the legacy it has behind. That still doesn't delete the literal fact it's a declining series. How is losing +200.000 during a run acceptable? Are you just that naive or just trolling? Hopefully the later; realistically, and sadly the former.

You know you have a serious issue when you consider a profit decline that keeps on going and keeps bringing up criticism something actually good or acceptable, for any franchise. It's like saying that even if I have 10 loyal consumers and I lose 9 then I'm still all good and everything's fine. Sure, in your happy world. And that just literally proves the author or people responsible for the work have been incompetent at bringing something interesting or long-lasting to the previously gotten audience. If your brain can't handle this reasoning, then let's put it in a more simple way: If your product keeps selling less and less then there's something wrong with what you're doing. Or maybe the series is now a skillfully made masterpiece that little people understand so it's less bought with time like the marvelous Time Paradox Ghostwriter? Should we accept every profit loss as something good as long as it has what we subjectively consider good numbers? I mean sure, it's the same argument One Piece fans tend to use when it comes to series' sales. Objectively speaking, it's called pure denial.

So yeah, Boruto is overall a pathetic franchise that has shown Kishimoto didn't offer a product appealing enough to an audience that has been steadily decreasing. Hence, making him lose fans or loyal people waiting for his next work. And those are facts, no matter how much you want to make up with oh my MANGA Plus views. Yeah, all milked franchises with not-worth content of considerably lower quality keep an audience, of whatever size that is. Exactly like Pokemon or Digimon. The quality of those products is completely different though.

Still, I don't even get the point of writing this. You're just gonna dismiss every single point I make, answer with dumb stuff I already touch in this text, keep spamming your dots, think this is some kind of provocation, and this probably may even get removed by some mod due to being aggressive. Can't blame them, I seriously can't stand talking to a wall.

Anyway, good luck. Keep your delusions about the franchise and be happy. There will be tons of people like you out there who are not able to objectively understand the trajectory, purpose, and results of a product they enjoy and keep being blinded by pure emotional bullshit, so you're not alone! Not gonna waste more time on a dude that's just not able to discuss properly.

Really ?

However sales decline or not, the profit is there. If you want to deny it, it's your business.

Again, if you have problems with manga and you don't like it, your problems.

It doesn't mean that the whole world thinks like you.

If you consider Boruto a disaster, you are free to do it, but if you believe that it is a sentiment shared by everyone and that affects the manga itself or anyone related to him well .. you are wrong.

The very fact that the manga sees and has a fandom behind it that follows it clashes with your reasoning.

Still, I don't even get the point of writing this. You're just gonna dismiss every single point I make,
Well I limited myself to bringing you facts, you are reiterating how much the manga makes you sick as if this made it true.

Oh well. If we put it like this ....

No one will dispute that Boruto is profitable, but when you are the successor to one of the most successful franchises of the entire medium, merely being "profitable" at best is certainly an underperformance to what it is expected to do.

Well, like Dragon Ball Super, I don't think there are any big problems.

So for the both of them the heart of the franchise is now the anime.

Boruto is the sequel to Naruto, so it is really difficult for them to close the series because the volumes do not sell who knows what amount ..
Then as mentioned, he is finding his success in other areas such as the anime and has already been protagonist 2-3 times on the cover of V-Jump magazine ..

Do not dwell too much on the sales volume chart, otherwise they would have already had to close the whole shack ..

Guys, the debate about Boruto affecting S8’s sales is worthy of discussion. If I feel it’s gotten out of control, I’ll step in.

Also, under no circumstances is it okay to insult other users. Also, it’s not okay to comment about users doing this. If you see it, report it. Don’t discuss it.

Just want to point out that there is more than just the sales chart.
I like to watch stats and have seen Shippuden often beat out Boruto on crunchyroll and both Narutos' stay above Boruto on imdb. Boruto was also taken off adult swim. There is probably more I could bring up, but I think it's obvious Boruto doesn't have a strong enough fanbase without Naruto carrying it, even RDC World made a recurring joke that centers around this.

Like any sequel, again nothing strange.

Ah why, were we talking about this?

I didn't honestly see the connection between the two.
